Just a quick thank you! It didnt work the first 5-6 times so I was depressed. i watched the video one more time tonight (after watching it 7 times in the last 3 days). Tonight it worked on the 1st attempt and I dont know why it didnt the other times. I heard it click and smiled with fingers crossed and laughed out loud when I heard the locks go up and down. Guys unbelievable for approximately five months I've been locking and unlocking manually thinking my key was old and had broken. Then searched TH-cam and found you guys and it worked first time.....thanks.👍
The process below worked great for me with both keys. They both now work completely - Thank you Programming a new Key(s) Replacing a missing master key is quite expensive from Land Rover, try not to get sucked into the extra cost of "Dealer coding" You can do this yourself in 2 minutes by following the simple process below. 1) Get in and close all doors. Turn ignition on and off quickly and remove the key (all within about 5 seconds). 2) Within 30 seconds of turning the ignition off, while holding down the "unlock" button, press the "lock" button three times. Release the "unlock" button. (You may or may not get the confirmation from the door locks.) Holding the key at your head level provides best results as the key sensor is in the side window pillar. 3) Repeat for each key you want to initialize within 30 seconds after the last one you initialized (if you have more). 4) Right after doing the last key, quickly put the key back in the ignition and turn it on/off again to finalize.
Same here, would it work for LR RR SPORT SC 06-09 model? I'd try this, as I had a key fob cut then had programming done. It starts the vehicle, but the lock/unlock doesnt work. I figured there was additional programming needed since LRs are intentionally complicated by design lol. I am excited to try this, and I'd return letting you know should it work. Cheers!
This worked a treat on my original flip key. Key in ignition, turned to 2 clicks then back to start (twice), then took key out and held unlock button and clicked lock button twice and the fob started working perfectly. Thanks 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Thanks for the video. It took a minute to get the key to reprogram. I found out that I have that hold down the home bottom until the light on the fob pulsed really quick not when its pulsing slow, then press the lock button three times. Now my key fob works without any issues. Your video help out a lot and saved me money going to the dealer.
Hi Kevin, do you mind going through your process with me? I tried what you did. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. My fob is blinking slow then fast as you mentioned when pressing the unlock button but nothing happens after I press the lock button 3 times.
@@CP3IGIN Yes, absolutely I can. When you initially hold down the home button the light on the fob will flash slow. Continue to hold down the home button till the light flashes quickly. Once the light stops then you will press the lock button three times. It took me a couple of times till I got. I hope that this help you.
@@Redbeard_Sagas I held down the unlock button but the light on the fob keep flashing fast and never turned off. I held for 10 seconds maybe. It was still flashing when I pressed the unlock button and you guessed it - still not working. Edit - held the unlock button down 45+seconds maybe 50. Light did stop blinking. Pressed the lock button 3 times but still did nothing.
@@CP3IGIN it has been a while since I have do this and I have sold the land rover. So I am und able to reenact the steps that I took. I just remember what I stated. I may had held bown the lock button on the third press

Hi - what year is your car - there was loom mod for battery drain - also the heater resistor is a prime culprit for battery drain. Air suspension issues often fixed with new compressor - but not always !
2004 Range Rover it's a USA Model. When I turn the car off, I can still hear the electronic on or shutting down, but it takes awhile to shut down. a mechanic said it shouldn't take so long to shut down and that was draining the battery. when I drive the car the battery stays charged for about 35-40 hours, then it's dead.
There is a little cubby hole in the new key next to the blade mechanism where you can glue tack the transponder in. Also very important never try the key with the transponder in your other hand near the transponder reader on the car. If you remove the key and the transponder is not there it will delete that transponder from the body control module. Needing a reprogram at the dealer. So glue it in first, then get all exited with your new key :) For cutting the key, a 'laser' brand key cutter is needed. All places that do BMW style keys have one. How I know, I learned and payed my way ;)

Very interesting I would be keen to know how I could get a couple of keys cut and reprogram them fully to work as I have inherited one bad key which I need to replace buttons on and would keep as the third key or spare so my wife and I could both have the newer style key. Jeff you must have a massive driveway to manage to loose 2 keys on your drive ! The key is several parts - the mechanical "blade" and you need this for your ignition barrel and if you do not have one to copy then you will need new barrels - you could get away with just the ignition barrel. You could get Land Rover to program a new remote to get door entry. This method on this video only works if you have the ignition key which i guess you not longer have right ?
If you have no key you can programme a blank from a module within the car. Not sure if that module detail/location should be out there, but it's very similar method to the current model, so leave that decision up to you experts....

I was able to sync my new key however it is not starting the car, it unlocks the doors and everything but it wouldn't start the vehicle. I had someone attempt to program it but it keeps saying that that program failed. Any helpful tips to assist?
Got the key cut but doesn't work due to the key fob not fitting in the recess of the ignition barrel - key works fine in the door so i know it isnt the cut. The blade isn't long enough to fit as the new fob is too wide - did you guys ever get yours cut/working? would be good to now if there is a fix/trick.

Ok look bros… key in the ignition position 1. 1. Hold unlock button until flashing. 2. Remove key from ignition. 3. Press lock button 3 times while holding unlock button. 4. Release unlock button. Locks will activate.
I bought a similar key from ebay, managed to sync it perfectly. I then had the blade cut and moved the transponder to the new key. When I unlock the car manually from outside, key works fine. When I put in the ignition, it does let me turn the key. Locksmith who cut the blade are telling me that the blade is too short for the ignition. Has anyone had similar problem. I would be grateful if someone can help.
i think the last 10-20 seconds is where i;m stuck; trying to 'clone' the (immobilizer/transponder); bought a thing... hopefully it will work! i'm using a brand (XHORSE) vvdi mini tool programmer, tester, and generator; i think i'm near.... i can program the remotes/no problem; but the immo is next/needed

I’m having trouble syncing my key back to my car, the car thinks a door is open, I’ve been spraying WD40 in all the door mechanisms, as I can tell as the interior light is still on, but doesn’t when the boot opens and shuts. I’ve not got any definitive answer or solutions, please can you advise? I’m at my wits end having to manually lock the car with the key in drivers door, more annoying when it’s raining and I’m fumbling with the lock.
powerfulukltd yes it does, that’s why I’m puzzled, when my key was still linked, all doors still locked with fob, tailgate open worked, but the key battery died and key had unlinked.

@@nsxaj Likely to be the "hedgehog" heater resistor. Awkward to replace as in the righthand footwell, behind the centre console.

Thanks a lot, part 1, i have finally synced my new keyfob , part two, I have swap the blade from my old broken key (actually with little modification you can feet your original blade into new keyfob, if any one interesting how to do it let me know) , part three, i have swap original transponder chip into new keyfob like you have advised on your video and for some reason immobilizer wont allow to turn the car , please advise

Ok look bros… key in the ignition position 1.
1. Hold unlock button until flashing.
2. Remove key from ignition.
3. Press lock button 3 times while holding unlock button.
4. Release unlock button.
Locks will activate.
I bought a similar key from ebay, managed to sync it perfectly. I then had the blade cut and moved the transponder to the new key. When I unlock the car manually from outside, key works fine. When I put in the ignition, it does let me turn the key. Locksmith who cut the blade are telling me that the blade is too short for the ignition. Has anyone had similar problem. I would be grateful if someone can help.

i think the last 10-20 seconds is where i;m stuck; trying to 'clone' the (immobilizer/transponder); bought a thing... hopefully it will work! i'm using a brand (XHORSE) vvdi mini tool programmer, tester, and generator; i think i'm near....
i can program the remotes/no problem; but the immo is next/needed

I’m having trouble syncing my key back to my car, the car thinks a door is open, I’ve been spraying WD40 in all the door mechanisms, as I can tell as the interior light is still on, but doesn’t when the boot opens and shuts. I’ve not got any definitive answer or solutions, please can you advise? I’m at my wits end having to manually lock the car with the key in drivers door, more annoying when it’s raining and I’m fumbling with the lock.
sounds like a fault central locking actuator - when you lock with the key do all your doors lock ?
powerfulukltd yes it does, that’s why I’m puzzled, when my key was still linked, all doors still locked with fob, tailgate open worked, but the key battery died and key had unlinked.
