European here. Hahahaha peppermint latte? Never heard of this! I guess it’s just not a thing in Europe. We associate winter with cinnamon, ginger, apple, honey but NOT peppermint. Maybe because peppermint is “cool” and what we do in winter is go for “warm”? No idea.
Fellow european here. I love coffee and I don't have anything against peppermint. But I wouldn't personally drink a peppermint coffee. However candy canes is associated with Christmas (they have a pepparmint taste) and as such I would say that it is associated with winter.
In England we have a chocolate called an Aero and they are chocolate or peppermint flavour, they have made Nescafé, instant coffee drink using the peppermint flavour, but that's about it.
It's nice to see you joking around with friends. I hope you've been happy there aside from the lack of peppermint (buy a whole stock when you are in the US lol) Happy new year!
Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in Europe. I've walked past the Nationale Opera and Ballet building many times. Enjoy your time in Amsterdam, and I hope you have a very successful career.
I recognised you in the nutcracker! So cool that you came to Amsterdam! And honestly (as a Dutch person), I think most Dutch people think that peppermint and coffee is a weird combo😅 but I might be mistaken
Peppermint in coffee is not a thing in Europe. You should try fresh green peppermint tea though, I discovered it during my vacation in NL and it's one of my faves since.
YOU ARE HERE IN THE NETHERLANDS?!! And you danced in this year’s nutcracker?! How did I not know this beforehand so sad I’ve missed this! But yay to you vlogging this hihi
Peppermint flavour is just not connected to Christmas in Europe. 🤷♀️ It’s a time for lights and warm spices, maybe some Christmas tree scent here and there. Cool peppermint is really a very odd flavour for the winter. (I know it’s because of candy canes, but those are also not that common a Christmas treat around central Europe).
i always go watch the dutch don't dance division's ballet in the hague (they did ratatouille this year and will do nutcracker next yr!) with my family around christmas aaah lowkey wish i could see you perform while you're here in NL though hahaha maybe it'll happen that would be awesome
Thank you for this video, so cool to see little parts of your life! Wish you a great success in 2025, take some time also for traveling around. 😊 Greetings from Stuttgart, Germany
I think they changed it from TJ to TK because TJMaxx sounds like smth that already exists here. It’s similar to the name change from Moana to Vaiana. Just copyright I guess 😊
YOU DID THE NUTCRACKER IN AMSTERDAM!? I really wanted to go and then I was like: nahh if I’m ever going to see a Nutcracker I will go to America to watch one from MBA dancers.
