Fisrt its Serbian rifle not yugoslavian. Second why russian music at the begining we are not russians we are serbians. diferent language diferent nation diferent rifle.
Did you watch the intro? I wrote the town and the country in Serbian. We call this type of rifle “Yugoslavian“ type rifles in the US to differentiate them from Russian or Chinese rifles. I know the music isn’t Serbian. I know the church isn’t right. But have you ever seen a movie that has everything perfectly accurate? I’m one guy making a video with only a few resources to choose from. We’ll all be ok. 🤘😎
I'm Serbian and I salute you sir! Great review!
@@OGsDangerShowwe Serbian are very familiar with Russian and we are mixed a lot (mix familis like mine) so i can tell you that the church is absolutely the same Ortodox pure. Languages are more similar than with any other. So not a mistake at all. Dont listen to negative comments because they are coming from anti Serbs.

Svaka ti čast na komentaru. Baš sam hteo to da napišem.
Zastava M70 is one of the few copies that are probably better than the original. It may not be fancy and full of gadgets like various new American, German, Belgian, Austrian rifles, but it is reliable to the bone, unfolds without looking, super easy to handle, 7.62 caliber that rips arms, legs when it hits. I used it in two wars in '92 and '99, and if I had to choose a weapon for an apocalypse, this would be it. With a dog, man's best friend when times are tough.

In the Yugoslavia in highschool we had a subject called, Protect and defend. We learned about and handled all millitary guns. We learned everything solders learn in a clasroom about strategy, bombs, chemical, biological and radiological wepons. We practice putting on gas mask.. We learned how to put the apart all sort of millitary guns, clean them and put them back together. You walk into the class room and every gun including a bazuka is on our school table. Even anti aurcraft gun. We went to millitary base for a day and went to target practice. I was 15 years old. That was 1985-6. I was a first generation to shoot from AK47, before that practice shooting was done with M48. That is why war was so terrible. Everyone from 15 to 55 could fight. With a reserve personel and a civil army included, Yugoslavia had a defence on par with any Europian country. Very organised in every town and village. Every city, buldings has underground bunkers and everyone new their role in a case of invasion.

Hi, from Kragujevac, Serbia.👍
I got to meet an elderly lady on the bus who was from Yugoslavia. She was so passionate about being in America and told me to love this country and VOTE. One of the best public transit memories I have. Public transit history lessons are always interesting.
Because we were born in soft communism aka Socialism SFRY.
One party rule by Communist regime that made even celebrating any religious holiday illegal.
If you disagreed with running communist party you would be questioned first by UDBA version of KGB type organisation but much more ruthless even Stalin never attempted to attack Yugoslavia and make it under its iron curtain.
Tito leader had private ships, all the riches while people were working all day for scraps and you get the point...
@@Patriotx-gx4ce Thank you for the reply. I was just a teen when I met this lady. She told me young Americans don't know how great we have it and we should cherish it. She missed her family, having a homeland, but told me America is her homeland now. It was a really good conversation.
I also met a Holocaust survivor on the same bus system. She came to America after the war. Her entire family were killed and her husband. She showed me the tattoo and said nearly the same things the Yugoslavian woman did about being American. I'll always remember these women and am so grateful I got to meet them and conversate with them, if only for 30mins.
Westoid idiot, you countries unprovoked attacked Yugoslavia and ripped the whole country in pieces. Tell me more fantasies about shitmerica and "old ladie from sfru
@@Patriotx-gx4ceThere is the famous letter found among Stalin's documents upon his death. He failed to assassinate Tito on multiple occasions so Tito says a terse note that he will send one assassin that will not fail. Stalin is alleged to have let it alone after that.
I know a Serbian family from Yugoslavia that left for USA just after Tito died. We were discussing their local Serbian church here in USA and what it was like in Yugoslavia. The wife told me only the poor and farmers were "allowed" to be religious. Middle, upper and political classes were forbidden. Her father was a dutiful communist because he held a university position and she said he would always rant against religion, USA, the West or capitalism whenever mentioned because if he didn't he was worried about getting a visit from authorities and losing his job.
Even hailing from a country that was viewed as being the best if you had to be in a communist country, it was still bad. I unknowingly went to the House of Flowers in '22 on the anniversary of Tito's birth. There was a procession of elderly communists paying respects. It was a surreal experience.

Jeff as u're guest shooter was sweet. Glad to see you again.

I worked with a guy from Kosovo. Having lived there a large portion of his life he knows how bad "bad" can be. As a result he appreciates what we have far more than you and I ever will be able to.
Also, those Yugoslavians made some solid hardware. Their AK and Mauser action rifles are nothing to scoff at.
Dont forget our SKS lol btw all these rifles are made by Zastava
They ain't Yugoslavia's product. They are pure Serbian 'cause made in Zastava, City of Kragujevac, Serbia. Serbian Gun manufacturer since 1851. ( Yugoslavia didn't exist than even as an idea 😅).
Was that guy Albanian? If he was, he doesnt know what bad is, but he will when we return to Kosovo and Metohia.

Finally you got to it.
One of the best quality built AK's ever.
My Slavic people make very quality products.
Not like Chinese....
The MAK90's from preban era are built surprisingly well for being Chinese.
I remember those in the mid 90s. Old stuff made in China was made very well, unlike the Amazon shit you get today.
@@OGsDangerShow They can make things well but many people want cheap prices.
Let's see... I definitely agree "...people make 'high' quality products".
There is quality "USA Made" then there is quality deficient or "Made in USA".
China is no slouch when it comes to Engineering or Capitalism.
"Slavic people" or "Slave People" is too general and "My Slavic people" or European "Slave People"
although more specific still it does not clarify "Which Slavic Country" therefore hurting my ill-informed American brain.
*I am just trying to understand why you think Slavic Countries only make higher quality goods and are different from the rest of the world.

My SHTF gun is my good old Mini-14. I have two AR's , a .300 Blackout and a 6.5 Creedmore (20" barrell). But that mini is the most reliable gun I own. It has NEVER jammed, and I know Ive run thousands of rounds through it. And I have five 30rnd mags for it, a decent Vortex optic, and a Barrell stabilizer. Shoots 1.5 MOA at 100yds all day long.
Just curious, why no AR in 5.56?
Zastava make a nice product. I like mine. Great video OG!
is it M70 full auto?
@b1b1b23 no. Not in the US. Ours are only semiautomatic.
AKs are just plain fun. I got mine 20+ years ago when a East Bloc AKM could be had for $300. Mine is the Romanian SAR-1. For many years, I kept it as it came from Century Arms, even the mean as hell trigger slap. I just endured it or wore shooting gloves to pad my fingers. That said, over the past couple years, I finally started upgrading the damn things (yes, plural, I have two). The first upgrade was making it look a bit more "tacti-cool" and I put Magpul furniture on them. It does look cool and I think it lowers the weight of the firearm by at least a pound. Probably most importantly, last year, I finally swapped out that crap trigger with the ALG trigger. Talk about a night and day difference. I kick myself for waiting so long to do that. It's so light and smooth now.
ALG triggers are the tits on ak’s and if that didn’t completely fix that slapping it usually means it’s over gassed and another cheap trick is a alg high powered recoil spring 👍🏻
@@devrinmg Thanks for the tip. There is no more slap but if/when my AK recoil spring wears out, I'll keep that suggestion in mind. That said, I don't know what the life/round count typically is for an AK recoil spring. Like all other ammo, finding steel cased AK ammo these days is way more pricey than it used to be so I don't shoot my AK as often.
You do a good job with reviews. Enjoy your channel so much bro.
Thanks. Glad you like the show.
Great video OG! Glad to see you try something new. As an Army vet I'll stick with the Ar-15, but I always love learning about other platforms.

Nyet, rifle is fine!
I love my M70 got it a year ago. Have the Jmac skeleton stock, Jmac lower handguard, ALG trigger, KNS piston, RD Regulate with MD25 red dot, and a Flow 762 Ti on it. Love that gun
I added the ALG trigger, KNS piston because most of the time my Granddaughter and her girlfriend are shooting the M-70's and a much better muzzle break , once the KNS was tuned to about a 8 foot eject everything ran smooth with great reliability , but the ALG trigger really greatly improved the accuracy with that amazing trigger release , these girls can shoot in any position and understand why prone shooting is a must shooting discipline !
congrats on your new boomstik, have one myself and am quite pleased...it cannot replace my ar in most situations but the cool factor is awesome...i love it. I own and love another Zastava even more, its big brother the M77. an abolutely wonderful rifle!
It is certainly one of the best rifles made by zaztava made in Serbia. It has been tested in all conditions such as mud, water, ice and sand and it has never failed compared to Romania, Bulgaria and Poland which are also good. is an excellent and accurate rifle.
I like the bullhorn sounding narration. I can hear it very well and it goes good with the reduced video sound of the backgroimd video.

OG, I know this is way off topic but I have to acknowledge you! I was involved in a road rage incident where the passenger in the other vehicle pulled a knife and threatened to kill me. After a second of reflection, I found I wasn't afraid because I had at least 6" and 60# on the scared angry kid since I also had 40+ years on him. That and he brought a knife to a gun fight. I had a cocked and locked 45 in my car, plus a license to carry. After watching your channel,Ian's, and Paul's I had time to figure out if I pull a gun when I'm not truly afraid I would be a POS, have to shoot and kill him, or make him drop the knife and wait for the police to charge him(I'm white, he was a minority, and I wasn't innocent in the situation)! His girlfriend who saw I wasn't afraid got him to get back in the car and we went on our merry ways! Thanks for teaching not only how to be safe myself but allow everyone to be safe! THANK YOU!
Ego kills more people than anger.
That’s awesome to hear, Steve. I’ve been carrying a gun most of my adult life and I’ve never had to draw it on anyone outside of a couple on duty situations. It’s having it and not needing to use it that is the true test of a warrior. Stay safe out there and keep that blaster on you instead of in your glove box.
Well done sir. The warriors test often comes just like that, knowing when to act and not.
@@OGsDangerShow thanks OG for being the kind of cop I can entrust with my families lives no matter the situation!
Pretty cool, OG joining AK gang. It's good to have variety.
And it's really cool to see snowy remote locations. It's essential to be preped for the environment.
I am in my 50s and have a large collection of firearms. Ive been collecting for over 30 years but slept on the AKs as well. I got my first AKM in 2020- the exact M70 you have. I love it. I am now sold on the AK platform and have gotten 2 more AK pattern rifles since.
Almost as cool as seeing OG in snow shoes. I was once in a 90’s New Age band called “The Sight Rail.”
Bulged trunion just sounds dirty.
If your trunion isn’t bulged you need to be looking at sexier rifles.
😂
My SHTF rifle currently is my PSA GF3 with a Primary Arms 3x SLX ACSS on top, using a budget minded UTG Leaper rail beneath it, but it holds zero, a Definitive Arms Fighter Brake, and Russian Red furniture. I think if I'm going to be trekking through the Northwest with a rifle, it may be bulky and heavy, but I don't have to maintain it as often, I know it can get filthy and keep running, I've put more than a decent amount of ammo through it since I purchased it a year ago and it has never failed me.
Nice to see the M70 getting a little love! I have an M70AB2, which is pretty much the same rifle you have except that is has the underfolder stock. After I wrapped the left strut of the underfolder with paracord it's not too bad. I purchased a kit to adapt the receiver to an M4 buffer tube - sans buffer, of course - but didn't like it so I swapped back to the underfolder.
The reason for the bulged trunion and the 1.5mm receiver was that Josep Broz Tito wanted to have all of his riflemen to have the capability of being grenadiers as well. So his rifles were all fitted with a grenade launcher sight that, when folded up, would cut off the gas port to the gas tube so that all of the gas from the firing of the SPECIAL BLANK cartridge went to launching the grenade. Just for the heck of it I picked up the grenade launcher ($14.00 IIRC) that screwed on to the muzzle in place of the slant brake.
Pretty much the same stuff was on the Yugoslavian SKS, but permanently installed.
By the way, here's another video showing how well an M70AB2 can shoot.
th-cam.com/video/qw1MTE6BRlw/w-d-xo.html
I remember when all Yugoslavian AK rifles came with the grenade sight.
I picked up an AK thanks to Mark from Fit’n Fire beating the combloc guns over my head for years. And the first thing I did is Gucci it up. I might pick up a M70 and keep it wood and steel.
When I went out and shot with Mark last year in Kansas, I tried out his AK “Anya“ and I was hooked. I started that day forming a plan of getting my own.
Last time I was this early, you were still in California. Also, AKs are great, but you just have to know what you're getting into.
It’s an awesome rifle. I compared a lot of AKs before I bought the Zastava. I bought one. A week later I went back and bought the other one. Love these rifles

Wow, 🤯 Jeff is getting old. Dang..
You did well to purchase a new Zastava, they are a very fine rifle. Since I already had a good AKM, I bought the 5.56mm M90 and the more I shoot it, the more I like it. May I recommend the AK Operators Union, Klayco47 and Mishaco for all of your AK knowledge needs? They are the best on TH-cam.
My 1st AK was a Century C39v2. Excellent rifle! That Greenmountain match barrel and G2 trigger is sweet.
My second rifle is a PSA GF5E. The FN cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel with the ALG trigger is very sexy!!
BUT...my Sig 516 is my go2war party gun!!
I love AKs but the dated design shows when trying to mount optics and other modular devices
It’s pretty darn easy to add an optic to any AK. I can slide my red dot or scope ron or off of my AK in seconds. it’s never not held zero over several thousand rounds so far. A first grader to do it.
@@1973vegas look at how high the optic is above the bolt cover. Having an EOTech that high is certainly ridiculous. It’s possible, and yes, a first grader can do it, but you can tell it wasn’t designed for that. It was designed so the cheek weld gives perfect vision of the iron sights. To look at any optic you have to take your cheek off the stock and solely use the stock against your shoulder. Immediately the AR becomes the better option for that.
Like I said, I love AKs, but you can tell it’s clearly not designed for modern optics. At best it’s meant for a low profile rifle scope or low profile red dot. ACOGs and EOTechs on here are simply not feasible.
Think of it like the original M16. The carrying handle was not designed for optics. It’s readily apparent.
To each their own.
Appreciate your breakdown on this m70 friend. Thank you for your GREAT CHANNEL, who would have thought Jeff could shoot? Kidding, 😂 thank you again! I'm truly scared to go to California but Jeff said i could be on a shoot with you guys, definitely on my bucket list!! Thank you again friend...

That intro gave me strong John Wick vibes… and the urge to make me go down my local FFL this weekend to inquire about getting a Zastava 🤘🏽
Officer Gregg, love your videos! I have an M70 in this exact same configuration (in Florida because the adjustable stock is illegal in my home state of New Jersey), and I love it. It’s one of four AK’s I own. The other three are two Century Arms (c39v2 and a VSKA) and a Saiga.
Ha! I’ve also got a C39v2 in addition to my ZPAP; the C39v2 was my first AK and indeed, my first military-style semiautomatic rifle, got it back in ‘16. I wound up replacing the bolt carrier and recoil spring assembly with surplus East German, and got a new-build Polish WBP bolt for it that I had fitted to it by a gunsmith. It still shoots pretty decently. How is yours holding up?
@@TheRobman139 My C39v2 is doing great, thanks for asking. I’ve had it for 5 or 6 years now. I don’t recall ever modifying it, other than adding a side rail and an RDS. It’s fun to shoot, pretty accurate, requires minimal maintenance, and I don’t remember ever having a malfunction. I could not be happier with it.
The OG eats recoil like it doesn’t exist. Nice job, OG!

M90 in 556 is a solid Zastava variant as well.
My go to rifle is a Daniel Defense V-7. IF I had known more about AK's I might have taken that route. Once you learn the little tips and tricks it's easy to repair out in the field. I'd also have gotten a much more collectable older AK.
awsome video, Zastava is the best!
Power to you brother..
It's never too late to make the right move, OG, as this video demonstrates. 👍 AK all the way, big fella! 👍 In addition to the pros you mentioned, 7.62x39 is a great antelope and deer hunting cartridge.
I hope all is going well out there, Tony. I trust Wyoming is a warm and wind free place in the winter.
@@OGsDangerShow You nailed it, OG. Winters here are every bit as inviting as winters in Kiruna, Swedish Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle.
GREAT REVIEW !!!
LOVE MUZZLE BREAK
REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING
THANKS😊👍

I don't always hit the pause button while refilling my coffee mug but when I do I'm watching OGs Danger Show!!
I got lucky and bought one about 6 years ago from my boss that purchased it from a local county sheriff for $800! Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but the feel and construction seems solid as hell, very light! Plan on playing soon 🎉
I LOVE my M70. I love living in Serbia as well. I miss Texas but, here I am.
Great purchase! Mostly because I have one of these as well. I paid $1k exactly (plus tax) for it, and my impression is that it is well made. I love it.
I have had and do own several variants of AK rifles both the 47 and the 74. I have found that the Chinese made AKs were the most accurate out of the box. Since they are no longer available new, the next one that seems to be the most accurate out of the box are the Arsenal made ones. Having said that, my SHTF rifle is the VZ58 made by Czech Point. This rifle is a milled receiver rifle that is lighter than the stamped AKs and it is a lot more accurate that even the milled AKs that I own. The VZ 58 may look a lot like an AK but it has very little in common with it other than the gas system and the ammunition it uses. Both the AKs and the VZs are very reliable rifles.
Nice to see OG in a place other than Clownifornia. Looked sharp on those snow shoes! 😎
I recently made an impulse purchase of a IMT MK99 under folder , which is a Zastava / Yugo put on IMT receiver , besides the mag wobble and the paint on the receiver flaking off every time I clean it , it runs well and is accurate . My next purchase will be a Zastava M70 , I'm impressed with everything I've read and seen on this rifle.
The intro , editing and music is great ! Thanks for the review !……. Say hi to Jeff for me .
Thanks for checking it out, Thomas. I will certainly do that. Stay safe out there.
Music is greate but its russian not serbian
@@pajserbrigada1362 Really !……
I bought one a couple years ago. Went with a Midwest Industries optics mount and a burris Mtac 1x4. I also run a dead air primal suppressor on it. Runs great. Mine is in Serbian Red wood.
Awsome video !! Verry detailed and informative , yes I will say my AR-15 chanbered in 762x39 would be my go to gun end of days rifle ... But the Serbians built the AK-47 Zastava ZPAP M70 / 1.5mm trunion like a tank with good quality parts at an affordable price ... I have seen videos of them putting these Surbian ak47 rifles to the test like being submerged in water, dirt, sand and mud ... The ak47 are not perfect rifles but they can take a beating and are pretty accurate !!! To answer your question , I would take both my AR-15 and my AK-47 with me when all goes to hell and it helps that both my AR & AK both use same caliber 762x39... Thank you for your video 😊
Thanks for checking it out. Glad you liked it.
I love this action. It never fails. Not ever. Fit it out however you want.
Brand new to your channel sir. I screen shot the info of this rifle when it popped up. Fine job my friend.
Thanks for checking out the video. Glad to have you aboard OGDS.
Great presentation
Depends on the shooting circumstances, long, M1A1, short, M1 carbine or AR. Close up, Mossberg double aught!
My go to SHTF rifle is my Bulgarian SLR106. I was in on the 5.56 AK before the ammo problem caused the new trend. Unfortunately, what that meant for me was I spent a small fortune on mags before more affordable ones started coming in.
On my Saiga I bought and adjustable side mount that allowed me to use both iron sights and the scope. It was so you could adjust the top rail up.
Great video. We tested the vg6 epsilon beside the strike industries. I found the vg6 to be more effective
Good to know! I have one on a different rifle and I really like it as well. I haven’t done a comparison test though.
OG, as always, nice video. A suggestion on the safety detent, a dremel is your friend. Just black-blue the ramp.
Thanks. I’ve also been told just to bend it slightly away from the receiver so I might try either one of those tricks if it doesn’t break itself in.
Seriously, I love your channel. I'm 62, and I've owned and enjoyed a half dozen AKs over the years. None have stuck around for the same reasons you prefer your AR. Now that ammo cost is comparable to 5.56, I'm probably done with the venerable commie carbine.
Thanks for checking out the show, Shepherd. 🤘😎
Such a fantastic tool. My first real rifle.
