PRR E8A Streamliners to Spencer

Received a heads up this morning that the JTCX (nee Conrail) were on the move west to the Streamliners gathering in Spencer, NC this upcoming weekend. Shown here they are passing the former Reading Royersford, PA station. Filling out the train are private cars Little Juniata Rapids, Warrior Ridge and Pennsylvania

That's VERY cool how TWO locomotives 60 to 80 years old are fully operational! Great applause to the Juniata railroad works! Great video too! I'll be at the event tomorrow!

And, to think, beautiful, graceful trains like this were an everyday occurence. I remember being 5 or 6 and seeing F units on freights.

What a great catch of that Pennsy F or E unit! Is it going to be part of the NS executive train, or just this streamliner event @ Spencer?
