  • My friend Christian 3D printed these RC Planes and set them up. First we flew the Messerschmitt B-109 which didn't end well, then we took up the MiG-15 90mm EDF and it flew amazing! I will definitly be 3D printing and flying my own RC Planes very soon so stay tuned !!

3D printing is definitely the way to go, yeah 3D printers can cost a few hundreds, but in the long run it's much cheaper. The same plane that costs $500 on Motion RC you could print and make for less than $150 with all of the components.

Amazing job on flying these ,guys

  • @billjonesnation

Did you fly over/behind the flight line? or are you only allowed to fly around in circuits without doing anything fun until the battery runs out?

BF-109 needs to keep down flaps mixed with ailerons at sweet landings😊👍💪

    I like the BF 109

watch out with spektrum, aka "team failsafe"

Developments in materials will only get better, 3D printed planes is the way to go. I maidened mine yesterday in less than perfect conditions fully expecting a crash due to the weight and brittleness (PLA) but it flew perfectly in every way.

Awesome vid and planes! I am 3D printing my second plane. It's gonna open the door to a lot of awesome stuff, you an 3D print molds and carbon fibre wings. Question about the Mig - it looked like the tail was dragging - What was going on there?

  • @lemonizer7000

I built a few - couple of thin walled ones and some of the other larger ones. The durability is the issue. The planes flew quite well but never held up past 3-4 flights without some major structural issue showing related to the printing - just too may points of failure. At least for me, 3D printed planes aren't economical - I have hundreds of flights on some of my balsa and foam planes.

Mate, what brand of EDF is in the Mig? The other builds I have seen sound like hair dryers, but this thing sounds awesome!

100% 3d print means no carbon or other material for spars and stringers skeleton??

Pretty damn dope! Might be looking into this, I've been eye balling the idea but since it's biblical on that sound I might be in lol. There's a viper in Poland, can't remember the guys name but OMG so damn biblical on the sound 😈😊👍🙌

  • @AceFlights

    That mig 15 looks sick!!!!

In some of your airplanes, do you fly with safe?
