That’s awesome! I actually started on clarinet and then switched to oboe so I’m sure you could do it. The main difference is the reed and building up your embouchure. The oboe reed requires a lot of pressure and air focus that you don’t develop while playing clarinet. This is probably the biggest learning curve. Most of the fingerings are very similar.
I just realized that I’m a kid and I’m learning 3 instruments at one time right now 💀 nobody’s forcing me to do it it’s just I have a big passion for music
you just realized??? that’s crazy u forgot ur playing instruments. “i’m so silly guys i’m just a kid and i just remembered in playing a whole 3 instruments 😂😂😅😅” bro stfu literally no one asked u
You didn’t make it a Christmas song you just played a different song. You can make any song a Christmas song by adding bells to the background. P.S. I am so genuinely fascinated by the lack of thought process here. Why would stopping the mountain king to play deck the halls be a method of turning any classical piece into a Christmas song? Where’s the A -> B = C here? Not even mad just deeply confused.
So you just stop playing the classical piece and play a carol instead. Genius
Yes
Wait a second, you’re telling me that deck the halls consists of the same notes played in hall of the mountain king?!
It’s works when I play it 😂
I think it’s just in a different order
it’s the same key
“Key signatures” - 🤓
@Johnelway76 when he is in the comment section of a music TH-camrs video, and he clicks on a music comment, and they are talking about music 😮
Bravo Zeke.
Oboe is so pretty and makes me smile every time I hear it. I’m a flutist but I’d really like to learn it
Yeah you should give it a try sometime!
@MommaOnion I use flutist because I’m in North America. It’s common outside of North America to use “flautist”, but here it’s common to use “flutist”
You just played two individual songs…?
We played that song for our last concert
In the Hall of The Mountain King is a Christmas song to me
I play Clarinet and Ive played it for 7 years but I want to try Oboe. Is it too different? Would it be difficult to go from Clarinet to Oboe?

@@Zekes_Oboe Thankyou, the fingering was my main question. But thankyou, Ill have to try it.
@@audreabrooks9103 You’re Welcome!
Easier method: sleigh bells
True! I guess I’ll have to invest in those for next year.
this is cool!
Thanks!
That or add sleigh bells
ok dawg I love playing oboe I tried to teach myself the riff from aragonaise the other day what do you think you can turn that into
Probably “We three kings of orient are”. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@Zekes_Oboe of course thanks for making amazing content not enough oboe creators
You’re welcome!
We have to show this to charly to prove that it's true 😂🥲✌
A tip when you play the oboe you have to exhale and then inhale and then you play I was told that from Google
I would have never guessed lol
Very cool!😂
Bro it seems so hard to switch songs like that but I just need to practice🥲btw I play oboe
Thanks! And that’s awesome!

@@Hehdbwkowhdbd I was just sharing and I did forget because I haven’t been at my house
Have fun!! +Respect
How to turn any classical piece to a Christmas song on a melodic instrument? .... Medley them to any Christmas song..
Just add jingle bells.
Just get those precession bells that I always forget the name of (the tall ones you hit with a hammer)
Yeah that also can work 😂
That would be the chimes
are you master oogway's long lost win or something
“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift that is why it’s called present “ 😂
Now change christmas music to jazz
Ooh that sounds like a fun challenge! Stayed tuned!
Christmas music is mostly jazz already but the ones that aren't would be cool
@@alejomanuel1051 Yeah I agree. You should check out this video and see what you think: th-cam.com/users/shortsIcIykbtd18w?feature=share
@@alejomanuel1051 yes but its kind of fun to do it yourself sometimes
Bro just played 2 songs each separately.. 😞
The oboe seems like a clarinet with a few extra buttons and a different mouth piece but I wouldn’t know I’ve never played oboe

You just played two songs...
Why does your oboe sound like a bassoon?
Really? I guess double reeds sound the same.
that’s not how it works but ok
How does it work?
@@ThatOneGuy3672 he just played 2 songs back to back
Go practice, your sound is O0.00!!!!!
Way to be a dog!!!
Thanks 😂
