P10 for me. Just try the black and white and you'll be amazed. The camera app is much better too. The only thing that is fantastic on the G6, it's the wide angle camera!

I went with the G6. I caught a buy one get one free sale with T-Moblie and LG. So $1100 for two phones with taxes and fees, got $500 back. So, about $300 per phone. Not bad.

I sold my P10 due to "no oleophobic coating on screen" issue. Phone screen was super dirty I had to clean it all day long. Glas protector or liquid coating didnt help. Tried everything. They applied cheap plastic protector on flagship phone. Swiping was also difficult then. Also It would get very hot after 10 mins of camera using or surfing on 3/4G. Also there was screen dimming bug with some aps like Chrome or Facebook which Huawei cant fix for months. Now I have G6 and I can say the cameras are about equal in quality. G6 gives more accurate colors but oversharpens a bit while P10 has a bit better DG but somehow too bright. However G6 can use HDR option too and there is Pixel HDR+ camera app ported for G6 now. Low light G6 is better. So since the cameras are more or less equal everything else is on G6 side. It has better and much bigger screen with much bigger resolution. Also battery is miles better than on P10 and the screen to body ratio is superb. Since G6 support quick charge 3 if you buy QC 3 charger it will charge faster than the original on P10. IOS is also much better in G6, videos are less shaky and the dolby sound is unmatched on the whole smartphone market. Also Huawei was shady with memo installed in P10, some units came with slower memory. I was so pleased with P9 but they failed with P10.
i think 2 good cameras for g6 and p10 , the differences of sensor,software and F lenses are different with different photos so it's difficult to give a crown to a winner. For the shape,the power (processor) and frontal finger sensor i prefer p10.

Lg G6 has more natural camera. I still have LG G6, even now the camera is great. I do some shots for social media and LG G6 has a great feature - focus peaking.
I personaly don't care for water resistance. Every phone nowdays even the non-ip68 can take couple of splashes and spills. And it isn't like I am going to swim with it. I dont even sink ip68 phones into the water. As for audio i always use my earphones and the quality is good. The phone itself is fast enough and has nice amount of storage. So basicly the only thing i care is camera. On auto-mode yeah camera is so-so compared to other phones. But manual/pro mode gives tons of options. Also nightshots auto are bad. But with manual exposure, holding it still or with tripod you can take some of the most amazing shots. + This is the first time i am shooting in black and white with monochrome and it is lots of fun. The only thing that is bad with p10 is video recording. Overall i found myself using p10 much more then g6 (thats why i sold it) since i simply felt i had more creative freedom with it.

can you please test autofocus speed when taking pictures in auto mode.. In every test online I see people only test still images .. and i would like to see a test with autofocus . I want a quick autofocus for point and shoot photos. I read some people returned their LG G6 because of the slow auto focus so you always get blurry pics when shooting playing kids , running dogs flying UFO's ;) . I know Samsung i ssgreat in shooting clear fast pictures Thx
The autofocus speed of these phones has little to do with motion blur of a moving subject. While the aperture of the lenses have low numbers, the size of their sensors mean that their depth of field is typically quite deep. On the LG G6, anything further than 3 feet is set to infinity focus. The only time the phone take time to adjust its focus is it you just took a picture of something closer than 3. The same is true for the P10, but infinity focus kicks in at about 2.5 feet. A blurry moving subject has more to do with shutter speed than anything else. If you notice that pictures of your kids are blurry, switch over the manual mode and manually chance your shutter speed to be 1/200 of a second or higher. If the lighting conditions are favorable, 1/500 of a second will guarantee that you'll get absolutely no motion blur at all.
check autofocus speed of LG G6 IT IS SO WORSE no quick point and shoot photos ..all / most pics get blurry. I tried it in shop. S oif you plan to shoot playing kids and do not want to miss that special moment without photo get blurry . then do not buy LG G6 because it reacts slow .. just tested it in the shop. Exactly, most people should be using wide angle rear camera lot more than black n white camera.
Huawei P10 front camera automatically widens the angle when it detects more people in a groupie.

great but u have shown us the wide angle capacity of the g6 but not the monochrome capacity of the p10 where it excels more.
