Important thing with aven interruptor: plot says that it has to be cast at sorcery spell so it makes it so that if you exile a counter spell it cannot be played again making it awesome against counters

Super excited for the set and I love Jim’s style of doing these card reviews. Nobody does them better imo
The most interesting thing about Another Round to me is that it's basically the first card to ever let you generate multiple sets of ETB "simultaneously" in the sense that you wait to put ALL of the ETB triggers you get on the atack until Another Round is finished resolving. A simple example would be casting it for X=1 when you just control a Felidar Guardian and an Eternal Witness. Another Round will blink both of them twice, and then you have 2 Felidar Guardian triggers and 2 Eternal Witness triggers to put on the stack, which lets you target two cards in your graveyard with the Eternal Witness triggers, target the Eternal Witness with the *second* Felidar Guardian trigger, and target the Felidar Guardian with the *first* Felidar Guardian trigger, because it is technically a different game object than the one that created that trigger. You can then use both those blinks to get two more Witness triggers.
Now, is this card good? I honestly have no idea, but as this simple example shows, it lets you do things that have never been possible in Magic before, so I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow got broken in a format like Modern. The ability to stack up triggers like that reminds me of the mana ability loophole that made KCI so broken.

This was actually super instructive I don't usually watch full set reviews. No way I would've spotted the Arynx as a top tier card but now I'll know when I get drafting. Here is me honoring my allegiance to the streamer by being interactive. Thanks Jim!
Aven interrupter is even better against counterspells than that. Because plotted cards have to be cast at sorcery speed, so plotted counterspells are just useless.
the blink effect on getaway glamer is also great if you happen to have the biggest creature on the board. you blink your big creature then suddenly your opponents creature is the biggest thing on the board
Seeing that Nurturing Pixie really makes me wanna see Jim make a white weenie deck for 10 new brews. Seems sweet with Novice Inspector and Cheeky House-Mouse

Hey Jim! I'm flabbergasted by your take on final showdown. I think it being an instant is huge and being able to keep a creature is big too, especially in limited. Feels like white has potential to be a bit slower and controlly too. I guess we'll see. Love your content!

Claim jumper seems like a sleeper depending on the lands we get it already seems really good if you search for a surveil land insane if you get 2.

Are there any instant speed wraths in Standart at the Moment? Most are Sorcerys. Could be useful against creature lands.
It feels like the sets are getting progressively sillier as time goes on. We had silly murder mysteries with Clue references and all and now we’ve got silly Wild West shenanigans. Just a feeling I get

I feel the 1/3 life linker for 2 could benefit from the mercenary tokens. Also the 2/2 potential double striker, and of course the flyers. It's pretty neat that these tokens let you go tall or wide.

Commander already has like 4 new sets entirely just for them for every normal new set, yet at least a solid third of that new set still has to also be for commander. When was the last time a set didn't have 15 unplayable 3 color legendary creatures? It's sickening and I think I'm just about done with magic. They've made it clear what the premier format is.
Final Showdown seems like a fun "oops, I effed up" card. Screwing up combat by removing flying and giving one critter indestructible seems good for 3 mana.

sry but if i play a blue white control deck i REALLY love instant wraths, it kills not only all creatures but if they dont commit i can draw, it also can kill all the nasty land creatures in stnadard right now ... just awesome card auto 4 include in my azorius control deck thank you :)

I think dust animus is going to be great. I think players are being a little blinded by plot. You can just play it straight up. Think like prototype. 2 mana 2/3. Or 2 mana 4/5 layer in game
I see wizards learned a few things about MOM aftermath.
1) a set with 30 odd-ish cards likely wont sell well
2) dont make another set with similar names so you dont have to hire the pinkertons
interrupter completely hoses counterspells because the only way you can cast a plotted card is as a sorcery
Thunder lasso is very good if you get stoneforge in limited

Glad i am not the only one that thinks the instant speed wrath spree card is a scam. People on twitter were losing their head at the "instant speed wrath with upside" part that they forgot that all the modes suck on rate.
Honestly the Pixie could be Best in Show but Interrupter is also up there, Pixie just seems insane for an uncommon. Definitely an inclusion for Convoke decks since they got a removal on a stick last set.

I think people are super over-rating saddle, it has the same problem battles do, you have to trade damage to get the effect, and it's usually not worth it.
9 times out of 10 using a creature to saddle is gonna be worse than attacking with that creature.
