Driving around old rural small town village, Reeds, Missouri. I couldn't find much information on the town online. There are a few sentences written about Reeds on Wikipedia:
********************
....."Reeds is a village in Jasper County, Missouri, United States.[4] The population was 91 at the 2020 census.[5] It is part of the Joplin, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. For a short time, it was the county seat of Jasper County.
Reeds was laid out in 1898, and named after W. T. Reed, the original owner of the town site.[6][7] A post office called Reeds has been in operation since 1873.[8]"........

Cool cars
@charlesjones-jz1vl I think so too! Such an awesome collection! Thank you for sharing and watching my video!
Stan long owns the "salvage yard" it is actually a body shop. The log cabin, they cut all the wood and built it for his son fairly new. Old truck is on the corner where his daughter lives. I believe everyone in the town is related in one way or another. If you ever need a bodyshop, definitely check with Stan.
I live in reeds Missouri
Interesting video so much history there! I love all the old cars!!!
It's such a neat old town! I loved the old cars too! Thank you for commenting and checking out my video!
That old white building on the corner was a grocery store and the other white building was a feed mill and gas station
Thank you so much for sharing information! I was wondering what the old buildings were. Thanks again!
@@along-the-way not a problem at all
I like these videos wish you could get out and talk with residents more
I'm so glad that you enjoy the videos! I'm working on improving my video skills. My initial goal was to capture small towns that are disappearing or do not have much historical information available about them online (like Reeds, MO). There are so many small towns like that in America, and they are on the verge of being completely forgotten. I usually am only able to video what I see Along The Way because it can be time consuming and i want to document as much as I physically can. Im hoping that the videos will help preserve or document a part of the towns, even if it's only in a small way. I encourage anyone with any historical information about any of the towns to comment so we can help future generations to remember. I also have to be mindful of my safety when getting out of the car if there are dogs or other animals in the area. I'm hoping to have more interactions with the local residents in my future videos. Thank you so much for sharing and watching my videos!
You should check out the original town of red oak mo. And avilla mo.
I've been to Red Oak, but I haven't posted the video yet. I have one of Avilla, MO posted in the link below. I plan to go back to both places for a better video. Thank you for commenting and watching!

Wow never seen people film when they go to Reeds, that's new to me.
Edit One of those dogs y'all seen, bit me as a kid.
Yeah I was thinking if they weren't in the car would those dogs be aggressive towards them and if so they shouldn't be out like that, I love dogs but it freaks me out when big dogs run at me. Hope you were okay after getting bit :(
@@Alice45894 Yeah, I was okay for the most part, just couldn't walk for two months. Worst part of third grade.
That "salvage yard" is Stan Longs body shop. The log cabin is new and belongs to his son. They built it. Awesome people.
I'm from a smaller Missouri town
That's awesome! I like old small towns! Thank you for sharing and watching my video!
