Since august the captains from the voting are from top to bottom: Marc-André ter Stegen (1), Ronald Araujo (2), Frenkie de Jong (3), Raphinha (4) and Pedri (5). So as seen, 3 players had to get injured so Raphinha could wear the captain bracelet as it happened, and he's the newcomer from the list, so they must really respect him inside doors. Also, I think, not sure, if none of those players are on the pitch, the bracelet goes to the most veteran player (in the club), for example, the 5 captains are out, Lewa is there but also Gavi, then the captain would be Gavi (the most veteran in the first team that is).

Couple that with your witty humour, it almost feels like I am spending some time with someone who is very chill yet passionate about football. I can't wait to hear more stories that you bring in both updates and documentaries!
Raphinha is my favorite player today. I had no clue of his history. This was a great video! Great Job! Just subscribed! I was surprised that you don’t have more subscribers.
The lesson to be learnt here is to pay more attention and respect the players you can see put in the work, have tremendous passion and dedication. In Raphinha's case you could see that very clearly in all the clubs you went to. In cases like his, where there's all this but only flashes of brilliance, or perhaps brilliance but very inconsistently, it can be just a matter of time of external factors for the player to EXPLODE. I believed in him even when the hate was all he got, and even got a Barça shirt with his name on it. I can't put into words how happy and proud it makes me to see him getting his so so deserved flowers. Here's hoping that his performances continue to be like this
Raphinha has been outstanding not just this season, but has been last season too, what a performance against PSG last year, I love that he is the captain too and my favorite player in this current Barca squad, so proud to have his jersey with the number 11, vamos nuestro capitan.
i still remember him walking on his knee through the pitch for leeds avoiding relegation... i also didn't think he was going to be a super star, but i respected him a lot for his works at leeds and i've been following his progress despite I don't really like barca, and i'm glad he plays well now.
This man always gives his 110% for any club. The fact that he walked the pitch on his knees when Leeds survived relegation shows his dedication, and I am glad he now has something to show for it.
Ive always liked Raphinha, ever sincd his time in Leeds, and I felt bad for him since it wasnt going so well in Barca... not a Barca fan myself, but glad he's doing well now!
For me personally im so happy to see raphinha play, I FINALLY have a plated i can watch which i can learn from Ive also always been al left footed left winger who is mostly just fast, with good dinishing and positioning but just less quality to take people on. There were no players like what i was looking for to learn from, but honestly when i see raphinha play i just see myself making that same exact run, so now i can analyse the other aspects of his game like which other choices he makes. He is doing really good!
I'm happy to say I backed him a bit earlier than most. Had him in my ucl team over yamal this season. But seriously he's been turning up for Barcelona for a bit of time now. Quite a few match winning goals or goals when they needed it. He's quietly been good since at least last season I'd say.
When you mentioned "Barça fans" in the video, just a heads-up that it’s really only a small group you're talking about. Most true culés believe in their players no matter what! Personally, I’ve backed Raphinha from day one and have always wanted him to succeed.
I liked when Barca signed Raphinha it was a sign that Xavi wanted a player with a high work rate who could press and work well up and down the wing defensively. Yes what let him down was is offense output as he wasnt a good 1v1 dribbler and Xavi's 4-3-3 positional footbal always wanted him his wingers wide to touch line to be able to attack the half spaces this led to reduced chances, vs Hansi Flick 4-2-3-1 has allowed more central and inside forward position which has helped unlock his runs in behind on a lot of his goals and more positional freedom. He has also been great from free kicks/inswinging corners with his left foot. Raphinha is such a key player in Flick's Barcelona it's great to see Raphinha get the praise he deserves for all the effort he gives on the field for Barca!
Raphinha is one of those players you relate to and you like to see them succeed no matter who you are supporting. wish the best for him hasn't come yet.
Ever since he arrived here in Barcelona, he’s quickly risen to be my favorite player at this club. Even when fans thought he was expendable for funds, and wanted to sell him, I always defended him and wanted him to stay. He’s a fighter just like Puyol. His mentality is second to none, and learning about his background, it’s no surprise why he tries harder than anyone. I hope he stays for many more seasons because he’s just a joy to watch and lead this team.
I believed in him from the first moment and I am so goddamn happy he's getting his retribution, as a Barça fan, I am not getting on the boat because I was already on it
I was critical of Raphinha last season. and I was right to be. He was wasteful with his passes and shots. But he has turned it around. His number have improved. I’m so happy for him. He deserves to lead this Barca team
I love this guy...it's the braids, it's like a Sampson thing. All jokes aside, everyone loves a comeback story...but he's moving past the comeback story and into something much more fun and exciting to watch. His IQ, ability, and leadership on the pitch is fun to see. I've loved Barça most of my adult life, as I had no way of watching the games as a kid...and this is an exciting time to watch the club. Flick has done a great job unleashing this guy to become a true club legend...I wish him all the very best on his journey this year, at this rate, he should win the Balon d'Or...provided Brazil doesn't collapse in the qualifiers
For me the 2key things: he always had competition at his position, Dembele at the time was better and then Yamal, but he always has the intensity; the second thing is the confidence as really per minute contributions he has always been good but I think the PSG game playing on the other wing scoring 2 calls and then being chosen as captain after they tried to sell you really boosted his confidence
also balde on the left side helping raphinha a lot, balde could drible 1v1 also great at defense, could overlap to give raphinha options. Moreover, dani almo playing as a 10 but could also play as lw help rapha a lot bcs they can switch position depending on circumstances
While in Madrid Vini(even after spending 5 years at Madrid), Mbappe fighting for LW now Jude added too, Raphinha came as RW and played as LW got criticism so much adapted and now he has no fixed position in attack he can play anywhere upfront in opposition half.
Raphinha and Yamal my beloved ♥ I never HATED raphinha, just that he was super mid before. I actually respected his goal contributions, quite good overall. What i must say is that i did NOT expect him to go super saiyan this year. Immense stuff! And Yamal... what else can i say, this kid simultaneously makes me happy as a spain and barca fan and makes me feel a crisis cus he's soo young and doing soo much lol. Incredible stuff. May this season come with a treble!!!
He's still honestly not that good at the role he was bought for (Right Winger - where Yamal displaced him); he's probably the only Brazilian winger that can't dribble for shit or take on defenders 1v1 at all. But he's a good second striker when you let him make runs into empty space (which is not traditionally something you get a lot of at Barcelona before Flick). And while his petulance last year was annoying; his work ethic, dedication and love for the club are second to none.
Can you do a video on omar marmoush? He might be the best player in the world this season so far and outside from germany, nobody talks about him. 22 g/a in 15 games for Frankfurt (!!!)
@LiftandCoa Obviously would not say he is THE best in the world period, because he needs to hold this level over a few years to be in that tier. But this season there is no other player in the top 5 leagues who had more offensive impact than him, so i would say he had the best season of any offensive player so far. I believe kane is the only one with more g/a, but he is doing it for bayern... Everybody is talking about raphinha and gyökeres and rightfully so but marmoush is doing atleast as good if not even better than them and nobody cares.
Barça fans have been burned too many times on big money signings, so the initial reaction to a player that doesn't hit the ground running isn't surprising. Rapha demonstrated that he's willing to put everything on the line for the badge, and now those same fans are chanting his name. What a player, what a story.
You should make a video about Ajax and how they seem to be on the way up again. Things were really bad the past two seasons, but with Farioli we beat PSV and Feyenoord in 1 week and have a gd of 12 in the UEL after 4 games.
Raphinha grew on me, i used to put him on the same shelf as Antony, it was fun to watch him fail... until i noticed how hard he was trying to achieve results, i realised how much he was missed during his injury last season, and i was thriled when he finally stated to get recognition after the 1st leg vs psg. Brazilians and myself had a really bad impression of Raphinha, his perfomance during world cup 2022 was underwhelmingn he didn't stay long enough for us to see him play and we don't usually watch laliga or premier league games in Brazil, so it was hard to see his value. Glad to see that he is proving everyone wrong.

It kinda looks like a baseball kit
It is a baseball jersey haha!
@@FootballIconicwhere did you get, my gf is Mexican and would love something like that
Fkin love Raph, guy is so good and hardworkin
Great video as always Tinashe, thx for your hard work, we appreciate it!
I don't know how to express it but it is always comforting to watch your channel and listen to your talk. You always balance out the objective facts and your personal opinion and with how natural it feels with your presentations, it always keeps me curious and interested.
Good vid and super dope Mexico shirt you rockin 👌
Doesn’t everyone love when Football Iconic makes videos on the club you support. ♥️💙
bro took being second fiddle to Nico Williams personally.
Here's hoping that his performances continue to be like this
love the amount of work you put in your videos, top class bro!
Maybe just me but I feel like your editing has really gone up a notch bro, great video
Its Paulinho all over again and it is a good thing.
For me personally im so happy to see raphinha play, I FINALLY have a plated i can watch which i can learn from
Ive also always been al left footed left winger who is mostly just fast, with good dinishing and positioning but just less quality to take people on. There were no players like what i was looking for to learn from, but honestly when i see raphinha play i just see myself making that same exact run, so now i can analyse the other aspects of his game like which other choices he makes. He is doing really good!
showing Love all the way from South Africa..Love your content man, big ups.
6:53 Dembele slander. I’m absolutely here for it
I liked when Barca signed Raphinha it was a sign that Xavi wanted a player with a high work rate who could press and work well up and down the wing defensively.
Great video, talking about Casado would be great. Rn he’s super underrated and he’s cooking
I believed in him from the first moment and I am so goddamn happy he's getting his retribution, as a Barça fan, I am not getting on the boat because I was already on it
4:29 at that time he was signed i thought Anthony was better more unpredictable and output wise but the guy completely changed it from the PSG game
I was gonna say the same thing. then you said it
I was critical of Raphinha last season. and I was right to be.
I watched him at Leeds and was so happy when I heard Barca had picked him up. Glad to see him succeeding with em
As a Leeds fan watching him prove everyone wrong and showing what he can do brings me happiness
6:53 calling Dembele technical genius is madness 💀💀💀
I think he is high😂😂😂
Madness is not recognizing hes one.
Nah you can’t be serious. There’s a reason there was so much hype around him when he was younger
@@FootballIconicspeed and twofootness
@@LiftandCoa Fact.
Football iconic is mentally iconic.
Raphinha has been very impressive for Barcelona lately....very refreshing more like a brand new signing
I could never hate a guy like this. The dude is proof, hard work and little bit of luck gets you a long way. Its when the time comes you take it
I always really liked Raphinha's work ethic, he's the type of player you want to see succeed and I'm so glad that he is
People tend to forget that his best performances came with marcelo bielsa
For me the 2key things: he always had competition at his position, Dembele at the time was better and then Yamal, but he always has the intensity; the second thing is the confidence as really per minute contributions he has always been good but I think the PSG game playing on the other wing scoring 2 calls and then being chosen as captain after they tried to sell you really boosted his confidence
Leeds fans all knew the sky was the limit for raphi, so happy for him that hes shining
He could actually win the ballon for no cap
Love the shirt bro! 🇲🇽
not sure how long it'l last, but he's honestly the best in the world right now. amazing stuff
yeah as a barca fan he was frustrating to watch kind of like dembele , but this season hes on fire, makes haters quiet tigether with Lewa
Captain Rapha 💙♥️
Best redemption arc ever
Loved him at leeds, made himself a fan favourite straight away
Raphinia is the definition of "give him a coach that understands him, and the world will know what he has become"
He became the Brazilian ramdeuter
You just made me love this player
also balde on the left side helping raphinha a lot, balde could drible 1v1 also great at defense, could overlap to give raphinha options.
Raphinha has been one of our best players since the end of winter break in February 2024, he's arguably been the best player on the planet
Your shirt harddd 🔥🔥🔥🤧🤝🏽
9:50 nah you the goat😂
Gay
I have been a fan since he was home in Brazil 🇧🇷
The first time I saw Raphinha at Leeds few years ago I knew he's a savage and the Barca move wasn't a surprise
Any team would love to have him says a lot about his quality
Raphinha and Yamal my beloved ♥
I never HATED raphinha, just that he was super mid before.
Hes genuinely insane this year, a joy to watch and almosg a winning gurantee
but hes not even in the discussion of best in the world.
Vamos Raphiniha 💪💙❤️
Thought my laptop died when I didn't hear a 'and there we have it.'
Barça fans have been burned too many times on big money signings, so the initial reaction to a player that doesn't hit the ground running isn't surprising. Rapha demonstrated that he's willing to put everything on the line for the badge, and now those same fans are chanting his name. What a player, what a story.
He was still a Surplus to Requirements player in FM24, even after the Winter update.
You should make a video about Ajax and how they seem to be on the way up again. Things were really bad the past two seasons, but with Farioli we beat PSV and Feyenoord in 1 week and have a gd of 12 in the UEL after 4 games.
That Mexico 🇲🇽 Jersey is hard AF. Appreciate you representing us.
Anthony is literally the biggest football clown ever, I can't understand how such a fraud got so far
Love the shirt brother!
