As you all watch my video please understand that mom is speaking from a place of protecting her son. My parents have experienced so much with their kids traumatic haircuts that for you is over protecting it for them it’s preventative measures. That’s why my work is for the whole family to experience a new barbershop experience.
Also understand once they experience something different they respond differently. Please feel free to donate to the work I do to continue making a safe space for the families 🙏🏼
@@Thegiftedeventofficial I would love to be able to donate, but as a senior living on Social Security it only goes so far. I love watching your vids and wish there was a way to have a list of special people like you. My nephew has Downs Syndrome and Hates haircuts . I understand why parents interject into things as my brother does it when I am interacting with his son., but sometimes I have to speak up and say "I got it". He can't seem to relax enough to allow another adult to deal with it in their own way .
@@maryanne2939I understand and thank you for your support
I know all this to be true because I am one of those mom’s. Vernon, as I always comment, you’re an amazing man, doing amazing things for kids that are “different not less”. Thank you! 💙💙🧩🧩💙💙
Mom was Great. She knew exactly what her son needed and she let the relationship blossom. ❤
I think mom was anxious so the son felt those vibes about the buzzer. If mom wouldnt have been there, I'll bet he would've been cool after a min.
Vernon you are simply the BEST. Thanks for your patience and gentleness in handling these kids
Mom did a great job advocating for her son. She communicated his needs and past experience clearly, gave her son the opportunity to communicate if he wanted to and was open to trying the buzzers again. She kept her distance letting Vernon build trust with the child. This was amazing teamwork between the mom, Vernon and the boy. Good job everyone!
your patience and expertise and love for what you do restores some of my faith in humanity. thank you ❤
Paul has come such a long way from day 1. Vernon, you have such a heart of gold to help the client but also to help the parents. You are a teacher through your gentle touch and experience. .
I KNOW in my heart and in my soul the good lord has a spetial place reserved just for you sir, at the right side of the lord, people like you shine so bright the devil cries in pain at your presence.
May god bless you 100 times before this day is over...
What a beautiful and brave boy. ❤❤❤
She’s more afraid than he is. Overly protective isn’t what he needs. Vernon helps them to help themselves through what they fear.

@ I understand that I have a grand who’s autistic. I know when I speak to him as you do in an encouraging tone he learns to overcome. I’ve got friends with children on the spectrum. But you’re no threat to the child and her fear can actually make his worse. It’s hard to be a mom
@@lechatbotte. facts that’s why I coach her and show her something different that she can put her trust in
@ and that’s why I follow you and appreciate you so much. My grand is four and has more long hair than I do. Hopefully I can gift a free cut to one of these children so they can feel the kindness you have for them

I feel like Mom is feeding his fear.
She was but not intentionally
Do you know any place in the San Fernando Valley, California that cuts gifted children’s hair?
