Positive feedback simply means that when a change occurs, the body continues to reinforce it. It doesn't try to reset it to a normal setpoint. Negative feedback is the opposite. When a change occurs, the body tries to stop it by resetting to a set point.

Yes there's an increase in heat generation which the body eventually releases through sweat.
