Nice video. Thank you a lot. Please what is the connector on the right side of the RAM and below the WI-FI? It's a 7+6 pins slot. A large space there but no device is connected. An extension slot? It doesn't fit with NVME drive connectors? PCIE? Thank you for your reply
Just got a 'new' laptop today (Toshiba c850-19d). Don't think the van has been cleaned (properly), cause it gets fairly hot and starts making noise. I would like to know where to put the paste? Missed that in your video. Thanks for the disassemble video.
@@LaptopDisassembly one last thing what if I'm gonna upgrade my Toshiba Satellite C850-B123 with 64bit, is it possible to upgrade its RAM into 16GB? If yes, what kind of RAM shoud I buy? Thanks a lot
the trackpad have a square that looks like a fluffy dirt , i cleaned it but then when i saw your video i realized its part of the hardware .. what is that little squared dirt like spot on track pad is for ? please im so worried (its that little black spot bottom left of the track pad ) and by cleaned it i mean removed it
Your video was a big help when I took my laptop apart. I have the C850-13X and I have repasted and upgraded to an i7-2640M. I didn't know this before upgrading but the HM70 chipset only supports lesser CPUs and shuts down the laptop after 30 mins which cannot be bypassed through the BIOS. Do you know if most main boards are the same or if there are any other motherboards I can change to in this laptop? Thanks!
HM70 have a limitation. In order to upgrade you need to replace the motherboard with a HM76 chipset. Sometimes you can replace the chipset but will cost you more money and is not 100% guarantee that will work properly.
@@LaptopDisassembly Thank you. It seems to be a lot of work for very little reward. But I'll try my best to keep my laptop alive a little longer. It will make a great server or a media device, even if the CPU is weaker. Thanks again.
@@LaptopDisassembly Yes, already done! 8GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Made a great difference. I just didn't get the right CPU, which is a a shame. If someone manages to lift the 30 min shutdown for i5/i7 CPUs, I'll be sure to update.
You can use any adapter from Toshiba, Asus, BenQ, Gateway. You just need to be 19V . 4,74 A Which is 90W total. The connector should be 5,5x2,5mm. I think on that model you can go with 19V / 3,42A ( 65W ). But bigger is better. :) www.aliexpress.com/item/32830747019.html
Mine is toshiba L850. The fan doesn’t work properly. Sometimes stop running. I cleaned it with brush but still malfunctioning. Should I change the fan or is there anything else I can do? Someone suggested to put some oil in it. Don't know if i could open it completely to do so. What kind of oil should i use for this fan? My laptop got overheated and automatically got turned off several times. If u please help me about that it would be much appreciated.
First you have to replace the thermal paste. For oil i use fine machine oil. If you cannot open it completely just inject a little bit with needle between the two parts.

Thanks for the disassemble video.
When you remove the copper cooler, clean the old paste from the CPU and the cooler. Apply the new one on the cpu crystal and put back the cooler.
does anyone knows what kind of paste he will gonna apply for the core and fan? thanks
I use Arctic mx-2

I thin is possible to go for 16gb. You can use any brand of ddr3 1333mhz. Whatever you can find on decent price.
