@@thebritishrailroader I agree with that when it comes to mounting inside the model. The blue coloured blue tac I use for holding things during the soldering operation. Like in the video you were asking for a third hand. I use the blue tac. Position everything as the iron heats, solder all at once. Sometimes the blue tac does get stuck when removing it, easily over come by using a bigger blob to dap at and pull off the remaining blue tac. And hello from New Zealand
@johnd9541 I have done that on models where the ditch lights don't flash, but if you need them to flash (as on CSX, NS, Amtrak and others) they each need a separate function input
I just noticed I wasn’t even subscribed yet, eventhough I watch most of your videos. So now I am! 👊
Thank you so much. Glad I have a fan. I so need to catch up with your videos. I have been spending too much time recording and not watching 😂
Looking (and sounding) great Steve. You've made the wiring look nice and simple - it's the bit I dread the most for some reason.
@jimbarrett1975 cheers mate. It is easier than it at first seems but let me know if you need any pointers
That's a top notch model you have there, Steve.
@@csxrensville5105 cheers mate
Look, great, Steve, all too technical for me, though 😁 ...cheers James 🙂👍
@DYLINGTONMODELRAILWAY Cheers mate 👍
Blue tac helps to hold things
@@russcole5685 it does, but the black stuff is stickier and more maleable in the smaller spaces.

@russcole5685 now that is inspired. I had never thought of that. I have added a pack op Blue Tac to my soldering box. Cheers mate, much appreciated 👍
Why not wire the ditch lights in paired series with the correct resistor? That would free up two function pads.

@@thebritishrailroader That makes sense. Thanks. :)
No worries, hope it helped
