I remember when I saw your video of Malenia vs all bosses I was shocked that Maliketh beat her. I'm assuming the godskin duo would absolutely destroy her as well? Are godskin duo actually the most powerful boss of them all?
0:20 As you can see The Godrick God at first dodged Maliketh's thrust with ease. And within perfect position he could've easily slain him, but he realized that the whole cave would collapse hence his hesitance. Ah classic Soldier of Godrick...always one step ahead.

@@felixcote1697 Home court Maliketh has a way more aggressive opener, the same thing happened with Malenia in her video, her 1st phase didn't get a single hit in because he just went in guns blazing.
You dont see all of a bosses moveset until NG+2 minimum. Always bern that way in Souls games. The way higher difficulties ramp up said difficulty isnt just by increasing health pools and defense but always increasing the variability of a bosses/enemies moveset.
I find it funny that a small axe swing from Godrick instantly breaks Maliketh’s stance, yet a giant shield slam from the fire giant doesn’t. Even the first Erdtree Sentinel did it.
I think its because the devs decided to make the fire giant attacks deal no or atleast very low poise damage (attacks that deal poise damage are those that interrupt you or knock you back slightly) and instead be always guaranteed to knock you down. Since maliketh cant be knocked down, nothing happens to him
Of course he’s a animal, all those bodies in Mountaintops of the giants were put there by him and his army, you need to be overpowered as hell just to get close to killing one, let alone the hundreds there
@@eagonten Not sure about that, but Hoarah Loux in his prime was a different person, he could kill a fire giant with a single axe swing, and with the power of the Elden Ring, he’d be unstoppable, Marika’s mistake was dismissing him after he served his purpose
@@saudalkaabi3353 That wasn't a mistake, it was a plot. Marika banished Godfrey and his forces to the Badlands so they would have to fight for their lives and grow stronger, then called them back during the Shattering to overthrow the Greater Will.

You know the first time I played the game I got my shit rocked so many times by that guy. But I am level 337 and am on ng+4 and have platinumed the game. I’m really glad I stuck it out for my first time taking on any of the souls games.
A thing people aren't talking aboutis that malekieth moveset is tied to his arena , so normally we see him leaping around the arena completely overwhelming us but now he's just akwardly walking torwars the enemy
@@temp3608 Well, melania can heal herself and he is a big target so, that kinda stops her from loosing too much health from the leeching effect, the godskin duo are not only tanky AF but their area is super small and doesn’t let mr death woof use his spacing moves very well, and did we really think Hoarah Loux would loose? I mean come on, he is technically the first tarnished to take the throne, and not only that, he killed ALL of his enemies until there was no one left who could go against him, and he got all depressed that he couldn’t keep fighting! Plus is ground pound attacks are basically insta poise breakers.
As guessed, Maliketh's weakness are bosses that are just as aggressive as him (like Godfrey) or gank bosses like Godskin Duo. Against Malenia, the matchup is decided by the arena, in Malenia's arena, she would win, in Maliketh's arena, he's the winner.
Against Malenia, the deciding factor is RNG. Maliketh pretty much draws a 50/50 against her in her arena, depending on if his AI decides to run face-first into the Scarlet Aeonia and if Malenia gets a good opportunity for her Waterfowl Dance in phase 1.

And then the bellowing roars they do towards each other at 14:39 like Malekith is reacting to having his leg stomped on by Loux... Made me think he just straight up kneecapped him
Nobody is talking about it, but that Malekith vs Dragonlord fight was SO GOOD. Placidusax almost managed to kill Malekith, but even at the end when the Black Blade was getting beemed he didn't stop. That fight was a cinematic masterpiece to say the least!

Isn't Radhan the strongest? He got cheesed. Love the fact that no single character is immune to everything. Radhan's big ass is weak to whatever that Black blade is made of (and Scarlet Rot), Maliketh is weak to scarlet rot. Radagon is weak to fire/black fire.

The start of the Radhan fight looked so EPIC! Two champions of legend, charging each other into single combat on the desolate remains of a great battlefield. All the while, the red sun of the desert shines upon their contest of arms.

It seems maliketh's weaknesses are gank squads and two-phase bosses. Godskin Duo tore him apart (Due to their DPS blackflame), as well as Malenia phase 2 (Due to her HP being fully restored) and Hourah Loux (Being able to stance-break Maliketh with a flick).
I think that without the pulsing Rot AoE, Maliketh could have had a chance. He actually beat Malenia in another video when using his own stage. He avoided the rot by jumping around on his pillars.
Gotta say the Malenia vs Maliketh is one of the most Boss RNG battle I've ever seen . They will win if the others attack missed and they last long enough when get DoT attack effect
Maliketh had the advantage of starting as Phase 2 from 100% HP here, the gap would have been way bigger otherwise. In the Malenia vs All Bosses video, he only won against Malenia because of the Arena. The Place has much to do with the result due to the boss AI. The Arena gives Maliketh a very big advantage. Even in this video, the regular Maliketh did a dual K.O against a Full Phase 2 Maliketh who started very strong, because of the arena. However, I have to Agree that Maliketh has by far the most RNG based kit. With ideal RNG he could kill any boss in like 15 seconds. Destined Death can turn around the matches drastically if he starts so spam it. Fire Giant literally got completely wanished from 35% HP to Zero in like 3 seconds.
@@virael3801 not really. Out of 6 continuous matches. Malekith won 4 of them. Malenia won the 1st one and another one in between. And that wasn't even in malekiths arena
@@virael3801 It makes sense because she's one of very few bosses who are in their prime, to be more accurate, malenia surpasses her prime in her second form.
@@nrnjn8547 You have to consider the other bosses too, Maliketh is literally the singular boss who can defeat Malenia. Maliketh *can* beat every boss but this clearly shows he's not undefeatable, unlike Malenia with the rest of the boss roster besides Maliketh which she is capable of winning too.
One boss finishing of the other with a third health left: "Close call" Me with 5hp left and 0 flasks beating a boss on my 11th try: "Easiest shit of my life"
i've been trying to beat radahn for like 2 days because i'm generally sucky at games like this and dark souls trained me kinda? i'm still pretty bad at it ha. but the other day i had his hp l o w and i was out of flasks and he one tapped me. i almost cried.
@@onuh4830 If you wanna make the fight easier, try Rotten Breath. It’s a incantation that you can get early in the game that can legit CARRY you through the entire game. It’s incredibly broken.

I just thought of how Hoarah Loux enters the scene by killing Serosh, who is essentially Godfrey’s ‘shadow’ as Maliketh is Marika’s. Hoarah just murdered all the beasts in that fight.

For everyone surprised Hoarah Loux won the battle, you forget he was literally THE first tarnished to take the throne, and only ever took the lion on his back when there was no other enemies he could do battle with, his final battle with us reignites his passion, finally finding an opponent that stands a chance against him, and if we tarnished can slay the black blade, when why would you even assume Hoarah Loux cannot?
I mean all demigods were said to have feared him, and im pretty sure the character we play as is just outright the strongest since they even beat the Elden beast
Because I found maliketh harder than Godfrey and as a tarnished there's no reason to think Godfrey isn't in his prime thanks to resurrection, vs maliketh who's destined death has seen better days

@@lawlessloki9320 the thing is.. If I'm correct the destined death in lore wise is something that can easily kill a God.. Is like a gun against your head, you know the gun is going to kill you. So if I'm correct the destined death is like a pistol in the forehead for a God. Obviously in game play is not like that. Correct me if I'm wrong please
Hoarah loux cheated in becoming elden lord, he only got the title because he was lucky enough to marry Marika. We actually have to fight our way to the throne.
I think maliketh probably has the most rng of all the bosses. If he gets his triple Projectile attack he pretty much wins the fight but only if its not interrupted by a phase change and he doesn't miss it because the enemy used a certain move. Overall this was really fun. Maliketh is so cool
I'd say Malenia relies more on RNG in that regard. If she can get a full Waterfowl Dance to land she pretty much wins for free, but if not - if it's missed by a phase change or just avoided entirely - the rest of her kit often does damage too slowly against the later powerhouse bosses to really confirm a win. Maliketh's RNG is more "how many times is he going to get stunned or howl?" If he's attacking at all he's going to do truckloads of damage, but that howl vs Malenia into her dance and being stuck in that little spot under the tree really hurt him, and Godfrey must've stunned him at least four times. Godskin Duo, too - that massive wheel damage through a long stun, oof.
things i noticed in this video: - Maliketh is way bigger than i thought ( somehow he doesnt seem that big in his own bossarena ) - Maliketh's Posture breaks incredibly fast - I did NOT expect Godskin Duo to win
It's easy to deal with Godskin Noble/Apostle in a 1v1 until they fight you in a 2v1 situation and their health bar merged into one that they will keep spawning lol. I will never be ashamed to the fact I cheesed that Foreskin Duo using my +10 Mimic with 2 frostbite affinities using bloodhound step and with help of the NPC guy from Volcano Manor quests.
8:50 I was sure Maliketh would kill Maliketh but wow! There at the end Maliketh really held his own against Maliketh and before you know it? Maliketh wins! Shame to see Maliketh go down like that but Maliketh just couldn't be stopped.
Bosses, especially those 2, tend to do better in their arena. Also, a lot of RNG is involved, like how much Maliketh dodges and whether Malenia spams Waterfowl
Malekith does better in his arena because he can run away and climb the pillers, also malenias ai is broken in his arena. Some of her moves she does don't work and she ends up standing still and taking damage. Malenia is at an advantage in her arena since she isn't restricted and her ai works. Malekiths only disadvantage is the pillars arent there and the moves he does on them
@@markw8543 gurraq/maliketh have a shared 10.6k hp on NG, transitioning to maliketh roughly half way through. Maliketh in this video seems to have the entirety of his 10k in his second phase (judged by rennala's second phase 1k attack) meaning this is the strongest possible iteration of him you can get
This shows two interesting things that I think backs up the lore: 1) being that Maliketh being completely and utterly devoted to Marika like Blaidd to Ranni was absolutely instrumental and probably the most important part of her Golden Order, considering the Rune of Death could kill Marika/Radagon and the Elden Beast. 2) being that despite all of that, Godfrey is an absolute monster and can dunk on Death itself in nothing but a loin cloth and a crown.
@@lewispooper3138 Yes it does. I always try to get like 51 poise on my characters so I can tank through at least one attack so I'll hit and stagger the opposing enemy.
The incredible thing to me out of all this is how well Maliketh did outside his arena since that basically kills his evasiveness. Makes me wonder how the other bosses would stack up against him in his own boss room.
8:14 interesting that malekith won this fight. I would have expected it to be completely 1 sided and for malekith to demolish malekith. Although I guess it makes sense that malekith should have won but still, I would say malekith is more powerful than malekith, or should be more powerful than malekith
@@revanf3719 The % of damage done actually increases along side healthpool. So lets say his attack takes 2% health from a player with 1500 hp. It will take 10% from something with 15000. The exponential increase is also why its so easy to beat modders as well. Bleed, rot and madness will take massive amounts of their health far beyond the percentages a normal player would encounter.
Yeah, I had a hard time guessing how that'd turn out. I know Maliketh can really burn through HP, but Fire Giant is SO beefy! Kinda happy that Maliketh won, though. It was an impressive win!
I feel like fire giant is kind of the test to see if another boss/miniboss is really difficult/op. Everyone who does consistently kill him is nothing short of a force to be reckoned with in game and usually in lore too
@baboo Wouldn't do much. Maliketh killed Placidusax if we really want to stick to dragons, which is a much stronger boss than a regular dragon. The dragon would flame him, eating nothing significant really and most likely miss his flying stomp attack (happens a lot with the player but I don't know for sure with his size) while Renalla would sit by and either eat a tiny bit of his hp with projectiles or just do nothing, which happens a lot when she begins summoning stuff.
Maliketh dodging the blast of Radagon's third Elden Ring slam only to get damaged by the hammer itself is a perfect embodiment of my experiences with jumping over slams in this game
Holy crap, Margit didn't even have time to declare him of 'passing skill' before he died...yeesh Makes sense Godskin Duo could win lorewise, given the history of their order they likely have among the best understanding of Destined Death of anyone alive The two Maliketh killing each other was beautifully poetic I briefly thought fire giant might win...then came the phase two melt in five seconds flat Oh dang Placidusax only needed one, maybe two more hits Ok that moment of Fortissax and Maliketh slowly walking towards each other was awesome, two great black beast advancing towards their foe amid the darkness, lit only by their own respective glows Elden beast got STOMPED, Puny god.
I mean, Maliketh lorewise massacred the Godskins as well as the Gloam-Eyed Queen even before being in control of Destined Death so I think it's just because they ganked him to oblivion.

As I understand it, prior to Maliketh defeating her, their leader the Gloam Eyed Queen WAS the one who possessed Destined Death, and the nobles are said to be the oldest of the godskins, so even if they no longer can use it now, their order still once did and the black flames are still essentially a weakened version of it, precisely what lore did I not read?
First off, well done. Second off, hell yes Malekith. He is so awesome and the move where he stands on the sword is so good. The fact that he did that to Mohg while Mohg was trying to Nihil? So good. Just imagine how insane he'd be if he had literally 1 poise to his name.
If he had poise, he'd have won every battle except malenia. Woulda beaten godskin and godfrey, which seems fairly accurate, and would still have lost to malenia because of her higher damage output.
I'm willing to bet that if Rennalas' scaling was set to match her opponent, she'd be an awesome contender! Even with her original scaling, she gives a lot of computer controlled enemies a run for their money!
Maliketh vs Placidusax was epic! Maliketh easily brought him to half health, but Placidusax promptly show he's not to be toyed with, those slashes breaking Maliketh's poise were beautiful.
teleportation is pretty damn powerful, and of course Placudusax's apocalyptic breath (with a stagger yikes) is one of the higher damage attacks in the whole game

That's Maliketh's death status effect wearing off. It reduces the maximum HP of the person hit by it over time so once it wears off they'll regain some health as the bar returns to its original size.
I never really noticed that Before these boss fights lol . Our doggo does % damage per sec and so bigger the health bar of the boss is the more % will chip out /sec . This giant doo doo's greatest strength ended up becoming his greatest weakness
I love how these boss battles actually play out like the lore and Godfrey is such a GIGA chad winning bare chested and bare handed and looks so god-damn epic topless and burning with black and red flame. Maliketh both killing each other was just soooo perfect. That long shot of Radahn and him fighting on the red wastes was soooo perfect and better than hollywood visually. I find it interesting how the Omen Twins did not do so well and their daddy got some payback
@@terencebc true, If It was lore accurate Maliketh would wipe the floor with almost everyone and have a fair fight against dragon lord Placidusax, (which was what happend) and a fair fight against Radagon/elden beast
@@All-father4300 also fair fight against Godfrey, Malenia & Radahn. According to the lore, they could all be the second most powerful behind Elden Beast. And before you use it, the « all demi gods feared him » quote is not valid. Priscilla was feared by the gods, she wasn’t stronger than any of them lmao.
@@terencebc the difference here is that Maliketh in lore destroyed an army of godskins and killed Gloam-eyed-queen with rune of death while barehanded, and Marika considered Gloam-eyed-queen as her biggest enemy at the time and they were pretty even, Maliketh just slamed Gloam-eyed-queen and her army alone and without rune of death, so I guess he still can beat Godfrey, Malenia and Radhan with a good percentage of victory something around 75% or 85%
That shot before Godfrey hits phase 2 where Maliketh charges at him with his blade in the air before getting interrupted is something out of an anime 14:24 And that roar before dealing the final blow at 17:40
You mean HE can't survive for us to witness it right? 2 or 3 good parry with blasphemous claw and he's literally gone, his health is way too low and his attacks too slow.
His damage-over-time effect scales in relation to his opponent's maximum health, so he can't really make it any stronger against a player character. Also, said player character canonically defeats Maliketh.
@@lewispooper3138 Maliketh already goes all out with this DOT against the player, but Maliketh's effectiveness is literally limited by the total HP of whoever he is facing. The player indeed "survives enough" of Maliketh's max, and defeats Maliketh to boot.
It is said in Malakath's item descriptions that all the demigods feared him, for he weilded the rune of destined death. I can freaking see why. He carved through just about everyone like god damn

I find it funny that a small axe swing from Godrick instantly breaks Maliketh’s stance, yet a giant shield slam from the fire giant doesn’t. Even the first Erdtree Sentinel did it.
To be fair, if the shield was as strong as it should be compared to the axe it would one shot you 10 times over.
I think its because the devs decided to make the fire giant attacks deal no or atleast very low poise damage (attacks that deal poise damage are those that interrupt you or knock you back slightly) and instead be always guaranteed to knock you down. Since maliketh cant be knocked down, nothing happens to him

As guessed, Maliketh's weakness are bosses that are just as aggressive as him (like Godfrey) or gank bosses like Godskin Duo. Against Malenia, the matchup is decided by the arena, in Malenia's arena, she would win, in Maliketh's arena, he's the winner.
Godfrey had the advantage of the fact that Malekith's hp and stagger are that of a glass cannon.
Against Malenia, the deciding factor is RNG. Maliketh pretty much draws a 50/50 against her in her arena, depending on if his AI decides to run face-first into the Scarlet Aeonia and if Malenia gets a good opportunity for her Waterfowl Dance in phase 1.

It seems maliketh's weaknesses are gank squads and two-phase bosses. Godskin Duo tore him apart (Due to their DPS blackflame), as well as Malenia phase 2 (Due to her HP being fully restored) and Hourah Loux (Being able to stance-break Maliketh with a flick).

I think that without the pulsing Rot AoE, Maliketh could have had a chance. He actually beat Malenia in another video when using his own stage. He avoided the rot by jumping around on his pillars.

Maliketh had the advantage of starting as Phase 2 from 100% HP here, the gap would have been way bigger otherwise. In the Malenia vs All Bosses video, he only won against Malenia because of the Arena. The Place has much to do with the result due to the boss AI. The Arena gives Maliketh a very big advantage. Even in this video, the regular Maliketh did a dual K.O against a Full Phase 2 Maliketh who started very strong, because of the arena.
However, I have to Agree that Maliketh has by far the most RNG based kit. With ideal RNG he could kill any boss in like 15 seconds. Destined Death can turn around the matches drastically if he starts so spam it. Fire Giant literally got completely wanished from 35% HP to Zero in like 3 seconds.
Proves that Malenia is still the greatest in Boss vs Boss fights, she pretty much owns everybody and the only one who can beat her is still a toss up.

For everyone surprised Hoarah Loux won the battle, you forget he was literally THE first tarnished to take the throne, and only ever took the lion on his back when there was no other enemies he could do battle with, his final battle with us reignites his passion, finally finding an opponent that stands a chance against him, and if we tarnished can slay the black blade, when why would you even assume Hoarah Loux cannot?

Hoarah loux cheated in becoming elden lord, he only got the title because he was lucky enough to marry Marika. We actually have to fight our way to the throne.
I think maliketh probably has the most rng of all the bosses. If he gets his triple Projectile attack he pretty much wins the fight but only if its not interrupted by a phase change and he doesn't miss it because the enemy used a certain move. Overall this was really fun. Maliketh is so cool

I'd say Malenia relies more on RNG in that regard. If she can get a full Waterfowl Dance to land she pretty much wins for free, but if not - if it's missed by a phase change or just avoided entirely - the rest of her kit often does damage too slowly against the later powerhouse bosses to really confirm a win.
Maliketh's RNG is more "how many times is he going to get stunned or howl?" If he's attacking at all he's going to do truckloads of damage, but that howl vs Malenia into her dance and being stuck in that little spot under the tree really hurt him, and Godfrey must've stunned him at least four times. Godskin Duo, too - that massive wheel damage through a long stun, oof.

I will never be ashamed to the fact I cheesed that Foreskin Duo using my +10 Mimic with 2 frostbite affinities using bloodhound step and with help of the NPC guy from Volcano Manor quests.

Maliketh is more aggressive on his opening in his boss arena, plus has access to more moves.
Bosses, especially those 2, tend to do better in their arena. Also, a lot of RNG is involved, like how much Maliketh dodges and whether Malenia spams Waterfowl
Malekith does better in his arena because he can run away and climb the pillers, also malenias ai is broken in his arena. Some of her moves she does don't work and she ends up standing still and taking damage. Malenia is at an advantage in her arena since she isn't restricted and her ai works. Malekiths only disadvantage is the pillars arent there and the moves he does on them
Ok in malenias run she fought gurraq too, so maliketh I believe has less health here

Maliketh in this video seems to have the entirety of his 10k in his second phase (judged by rennala's second phase 1k attack) meaning this is the strongest possible iteration of him you can get

This shows two interesting things that I think backs up the lore: 1) being that Maliketh being completely and utterly devoted to Marika like Blaidd to Ranni was absolutely instrumental and probably the most important part of her Golden Order, considering the Rune of Death could kill Marika/Radagon and the Elden Beast. 2) being that despite all of that, Godfrey is an absolute monster and can dunk on Death itself in nothing but a loin cloth and a crown.

The % of damage done actually increases along side healthpool. So lets say his attack takes 2% health from a player with 1500 hp. It will take 10% from something with 15000. The exponential increase is also why its so easy to beat modders as well. Bleed, rot and madness will take massive amounts of their health far beyond the percentages a normal player would encounter.

I feel like fire giant is kind of the test to see if another boss/miniboss is really difficult/op. Everyone who does consistently kill him is nothing short of a force to be reckoned with in game and usually in lore too

@baboo Wouldn't do much. Maliketh killed Placidusax if we really want to stick to dragons, which is a much stronger boss than a regular dragon. The dragon would flame him, eating nothing significant really and most likely miss his flying stomp attack (happens a lot with the player but I don't know for sure with his size) while Renalla would sit by and either eat a tiny bit of his hp with projectiles or just do nothing, which happens a lot when she begins summoning stuff.
Maliketh dodging the blast of Radagon's third Elden Ring slam only to get damaged by the hammer itself is a perfect embodiment of my experiences with jumping over slams in this game

If he had poise, he'd have won every battle except malenia. Woulda beaten godskin and godfrey, which seems fairly accurate, and would still have lost to malenia because of her higher damage output.
I'm willing to bet that if Rennalas' scaling was set to match her opponent, she'd be an awesome contender! Even with her original scaling, she gives a lot of computer controlled enemies a run for their money!
Maliketh vs Placidusax was epic! Maliketh easily brought him to half health, but Placidusax promptly show he's not to be toyed with, those slashes breaking Maliketh's poise were beautiful.
teleportation is pretty damn powerful, and of course Placudusax's apocalyptic breath (with a stagger yikes) is one of the higher damage attacks in the whole game

That's Maliketh's death status effect wearing off. It reduces the maximum HP of the person hit by it over time so once it wears off they'll regain some health as the bar returns to its original size.

I never really noticed that Before these boss fights lol . Our doggo does % damage per sec and so bigger the health bar of the boss is the more % will chip out /sec . This giant doo doo's greatest strength ended up becoming his greatest weakness
I think it also has A LOT to do with how many hits get applied.

Also her scarlet rot is the most potent in the game, takes a huge chunk of health per tick… most bosses melt just like maliketh did here.
She has Scarlet Aeonia available outside too. It's the clone that aren't available outside of her stage.
Technically, Maliketh is nerfed a bit without is arena too. He can't jump as much in other areas

I love how these boss battles actually play out like the lore and Godfrey is such a GIGA chad winning bare chested and bare handed and looks so god-damn epic topless and burning with black and red flame. Maliketh both killing each other was just soooo perfect. That long shot of Radahn and him fighting on the red wastes was soooo perfect and better than hollywood visually. I find it interesting how the Omen Twins did not do so well and their daddy got some payback

@@terencebc the difference here is that Maliketh in lore destroyed an army of godskins and killed Gloam-eyed-queen with rune of death while barehanded, and Marika considered Gloam-eyed-queen as her biggest enemy at the time and they were pretty even, Maliketh just slamed Gloam-eyed-queen and her army alone and without rune of death, so I guess he still can beat Godfrey, Malenia and Radhan with a good percentage of victory something around 75% or 85%
I love that in almost all of these types of videos Godfrey is just a walking vibe check.

I love these videos, they make me appreciate how far the player comes by the time you reach some bosses.
This is the true power of Maliketh, sadly we can’t survive enough to witness it. A true horror.
You mean HE can't survive for us to witness it right? 2 or 3 good parry with blasphemous claw and he's literally gone, his health is way too low and his attacks too slow.
His damage-over-time effect scales in relation to his opponent's maximum health, so he can't really make it any stronger against a player character. Also, said player character canonically defeats Maliketh.
Beating the fight isn’t “survive enough”
@@lewispooper3138 Maliketh already goes all out with this DOT against the player, but Maliketh's effectiveness is literally limited by the total HP of whoever he is facing. The player indeed "survives enough" of Maliketh's max, and defeats Maliketh to boot.
