What started out as a seemingly simple goal of being buried in sand for 24 hours turned into quite an ordeal! Congratulations Mike for pushing through the discomforts and boredom to finish your goal! This was interesting to watch - it had a lot of comedic moments as well as some drama! It had some similar elements to the film "Cast Away" especially the part when boredom strikes and your gopro became like Tom Hank's "Wilson" in the film. 😅 Those who looked out and after you are awesome! So @fearlessandfar, will you make more Voluntary Hardship challenges, Mike? 🐉🐉🐉🐉 Maybe this is too early, but for Fighterboys S4, might I suggest for you guys to explore the Sierra Madre Mountain Range and use your social media platforms to raise environmental and conservation awareness there? Anyway, thanks for sharing this Mike! Proud of you! You're such an inspiring human being! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I will definitely make more voluntary hardship vlogs. I hope people can pick little challenges in their lives too and practice the same. Though... I don’t recommend starting in sand! Thanks for this beautiful comment ❤️🐉

This is truly one of the most incredible things I've ever seen, Mike. So many funny moments, for sure...watching you sing and try to eat made me laugh, you repeatedly telling your GoPro to turn itself off (and when it refused to) probably made me laugh the hardest. But it was also awesome to see the dog keep you company and seeing the locals come by to feed you. But as for the challenge itself...what a test of your mind, your grit, and your determination. I love the reason why you did this and I'd imagine you're much better equipped to deal with whatever hardships life throws your way now. Watching you emerge from the sand at the end, swollen and taking short, wobbly steps to the water's edge was super powerful, man. I couldn't help but smile and also get a bit choked up because you accomplished what you set out to do. So proud of you, Mike! Extraordinary and inspiring. I'm looking forward to seeing more hardship challenges. And yeah man...I think this video definitely deserves a donation. 😉🐉🐉🐉🐉

Tremendous respect Mike for burying yourself in the sand for 24 hours with no "hiccups". While buried, you must have a company (all the gang) monitoring your progress. Based on your narrative, you sounded mentally prepared going to this process - guts, courage and mental-discipline. "Voluntary Hardship" - impressive determination. I believe, voluntary hardship is good for the soul. It teaches a person to become resilient, adaptable, tolerance, endurance and perseverance. Makes you stronger, better person and understanding how to utilize your mind to control your body to adapt what the situation requires. The more suffering and pain you experienced, the better you will handle crisis in a way that is unnoticeable - that is adaptability. Of course, first experience is the hardest to take but once you keep doing it or keep happening, pain and suffering become "ordinary". There's a saying that I came across and it states "The greatest Secret of Human Power" is Overcoming the Hardship". When I came across this "phrase" I said to myself, Wow - serious challenge to one's mind, physical and mental - must be tough but there are people who thrive in that situation. Some people get a kick out of experiencing the unbelievable. Obviously, you've welcomed the challenge without hesitation as you demonstrated in this video. Bottom line is "Mind Controls Everything" that makes you, "You"! The control is all in our "noodle - mind". There are people who are easily broken with small things. There are those who doesn't but consider it as an opportunity to experiment the limit of their capacity, capability and ability - which are perseverance and endurance. I've seen your Russia escapades and all are impressive - clearly states your adventures-tic mentality and personality Looking forward to the 10,000 bananas for the Bangladesh Kids!

Watching the waves wash over you at the end really made me smile and I don’t know why… I really liked that! Such a simple, normal activity reconnected you to life. Nice bro.
I find it interesting that most of the discomfort you feel (especially in the first 11 minutes or so) is very similar for many wheelchair users, especially those like myself who struggle with movement! I also enjoy voluntary hardship & new challenges, but I never knew it was an actual idea many partook in & shared throughout history, that’s really interesting. Thank you for sharing your experiences (& admittedly giving me a few ideas haha) 😊
okay so that voluntary hardship concept worked for me, I trained for and completed a marathon almost 30 years ago, in the training there were days I would do a 30km run after work and just feel awful halfway through, but I learned that I had the capacity to endure and just keep going and eventually get there and that has served me so well in all sorts of life situations since including business and illness; I think this will pay off for you throughout your life. I'm huge into body modification/tattoos and suspension. Started at the age of 13 I'm 35 and still doing suspension and body mods/tattoos. It's not only a form of expression but it's always blissful when getting a new piece, a new pose, pushing the limits to improve my sanity.
I grew up near the beach in La Union and always wondered on how it would feel being buried in the sand, watching the tide go up, and feeling the sand get heavier because of the water. Your experiment was close enough. Love your adventures and all the Fighterboys vlogs. I'm looking forward to retirement (next year??) and maybe hooking up with Pinoy retirees (Matathunders!) to travel the islands like what you guys are doing. See you guys next Fighterboys season!
I was waiting for this footage. Cause I've seen you in the fighter boys videos that you are being half buried. I said, what is he up to now? I hope theres no high tide or something. 😁
Your are so fierce Mike and I had no doubt that you would stubbornly see this challenge all the way to the end. It was painful to watch because you were clearly in a lot of discomfort and I kept imagining that some unexpected thing would happen to you. I learned a lot though from watching this.
At last. I was praying that one of you will upload another vid from your recent adventure for season 3 because I cant get enough of it. So addicting Mik-Mik! Thank you.
I knew you were going to do this but I couldn't watch it because just thinking of it gives me anxiety. I just now was able to watch this video and you were so brave for doing this. Ironically I've never watched your blog and today of all days I engaged. I'm going through am uncomfortable situation in my life right now and seriousl causing some anxiety. I'm huge into body modification/tattoos and suspension. Started at the age of 13 I'm 35 and still doing suspension and body mods/tattoos. It's not only a form of expression but it's always blissful when getting a new piece, a new pose, pushing the limits to improve my sanity.
i dont know why but i cried😭😭..too much respect to u mike 🥰🥰
I checked the day before where the tide was. Haha that would be terrible!
@@fearlessandfar respect! What you did is insane👍
Your are so fierce Mike and I had no doubt that you would stubbornly see this challenge all the way to the end. It was painful to watch because you were clearly in a lot of discomfort and I kept imagining that some unexpected thing would happen to you. I learned a lot though from watching this.
So happy you learned a bit. I wanted to make this a little more than just a little challenge 🐉
Astig!💪👏
At last. I was praying that one of you will upload another vid from your recent adventure for season 3 because I cant get enough of it. So addicting Mik-Mik! Thank you.
Some stroke sufferers buried themselves in the sand for few hours it helps them get better
Is this true? That’s wild!
its true
Maybe in hot desert sands...

30 mins or an hour is good for the body.
I love ur venture buried in the sand , it’s very informative, not to mention , meaning of pain and discomfort. Love it!!
Congrats you beat the hardship!
I knew you were going to do this but I couldn't watch it because just thinking of it gives me anxiety. I just now was able to watch this video and you were so brave for doing this. Your mind was so strong to keep going and I get what you were saying about voluntary hardship and how this can prepare one for a bigger obstacle in life. Thanks for sharing this video!
3:30 AM PT, time’s set, see you later dragons 🐉 🐉 🐉 love yah Mike
You should arrange a youtuber survivor show pretty much just like survivor with diff influencers would be epic

This was one crazy challenge you did, Mike. You had a truly fearless and daunting experience there. I'm glad you passed this ordeal. Very interesting vlog indeed.
Happy you liked it Bella! Understand why I did it?
@@fearlessandfar You mentioned about undergoing hardship to strengthen the mind and body at the start of the vlog. It is like overcoming suffering and becoming ready for any future hardship. You made it through, Mike.
Really FEARLESS Mike👏👏👌👌
Not quite fearless, just like fighting them 🐉
The best. Such a professional and an inspiration. I like your depth as a human being. This simple video speaks volumes about life itself. Pain, suffering ... we all experience this. We do not have to fear it. Thanks so much. Though you have the best product in the group, you always promote them as well. Very generous.
I saw how the rest of the gang helped you with this and have been waiting for this upload. Thank you mikmik! The wait is finally over after few hours!! 😍😍
