Tldr: - Many of Law’s core moves are easily launch punished by Bryan. Thereby locking him out of playing conventionally. - Law’s punch parry and manual parry are largely ineffective against Bryan, since he uses mostly knees and elbows. - Law’s best move against Bryan the *4 (magic-4) was nerfed heavily in TEKKEN 8 and is no longer viable. - power crush to escape pressure/ steal your turn is launch punishable in the Bryan matchup. - Stepping Bryan is generally a really bad idea. So there is not much you can do against him at all. In conclusion, Law has a very tough time adjusting to Bryan extremely oppressive nature, and Law has to play incredibly well and be very sharp/ awake to have any chance at all against Bryan, while Bryan just gets to play the game at your expense.
Isnt also that its scary to eat a counter against Bryan cuz he launches you with these? Along some of the pressure he can do against with moves like b1
@@blackdarkness6798Brian and few other characters apply so much pressure none of law attacks ever connect and like you said if they don't you automatically lose the trade like Reina Jin kazuya all stunt law so they can pop you up for these stupid long ass juggles 😠😤😑🤣🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️it makes you angry like why tf did they make law so bare like he should have fluid combos the transition better into keeping the pressure on without it looking the same. Lamb you gotta make a series of anti matchup videos for Laws worst matchups, that would be such a useful cool series of videos for even high intermediate players!
tbf a lot of that probably has to do with matchup experience tho I have a feeling Victor will never be fun to fight, but his players will also always be weak defensively lol
Never really had trouble with Bryans at blue ranks, but love the explanation and makes perfect sense. Would love to hear more about Law's best matchup(s) and why
lee kept his magic 4 why not law? i fucking hate this nerf, id rather law kept it even if it now was a 3 hit commitment, (2 fast highs followed by a safe mid) give me that any day of the week instead of a ugly slow a$$ double high thats 13 frame SLOW, its so dumb its not even faster than his mid counter hit launcher (df4 into flipkick)
Zafina is terrible against Law. Law puts the smackdown on that character. Her mantis tarantula stances is useless against him because of how easy it is to get launched.
Very helpful, thanks! Also I always think the weakness of the opponent character that Law is able to expose easily. Any content about this would be a great value IMHO.
Yeah i get smoked by good kazuyas and bryan on my law once they start getting me. If not its usually a close match unless they are terrible 😅.i have better time fighting them on characters I dont play as much tbh. I just suck against good xiaoyu players, i dont see them unless they are high rankings and if i do its usually when im playing with Steve
There are a lot of things you can do that are safe against Brian. I feel like most these things are chump checks against bad players anyway. Ws2 is extremely risky to go for unless punishing something or getting that good read. You probably atent gonna hit good players with that. Out of crouch you have wr 1,2 which the second hit can be ducked but if they don't then it's safe. But yiu can go into dss after the wr1, so there is mix in that You also have crouch up forward 3 which is a -8 or 9 heat engaged that's completely safe. That coincides very well with slide as a mix up. Off of wr4, dss, you also have a 1+2 grab. You also have all of the counterhit opportunities within dss.
Basically, he can launch punish db+3 because of his 13-frame WS-launcher, he can easily and very consistently launch ws1,2 if he ducks the second hit as well as 1,1,2 if you miss your punish. He can launch b1+2 and b1,2,2 with the electric etc.

I'll come back and watch the video all the way through it's tough out here 😂I can't get pass garyu I guess I'm lacking in the combo department major

Man that's exactly what we need right about now then we'll know if we even got a chance to play or it'll be their turn the whole game 🎮
I'm not disagreeing with anything in this video but I'd rather fight Bryan or Kazuya rather than Victor or Jun.

@@callanharvey6264 you're probably right. I felt the same way about Noctis years ago until I become more comfortable facing him over time.
Same
😂i had to agree with you on that but damn when is it our turn to play shit 😂
Been learning so much from your vids dude my favourite Law player 100%
Never really had trouble with Bryans at blue ranks, but love the explanation and makes perfect sense.

Not saying any of this is wrong or invalid. Just wanna bring up Larz can launch punish both the wr2 and power crush at any range it connects on block.
Yes. Lars is also a bad matchup for Law. But Bryan is worse imo.
Love all the Law content 🥰
Would be great to have a Best Matchups follow up!
would love to see another VS vid against a high tier Bryan using your Law. Would love to see the approach you'd take to win.
As a Law main i can appreciate thus video
Very helpful .. thanks for the great info !
Also yes more MU specific videos and maybe some guides for feng like the ones you do for law .. would be much appreciated
Thanks for the vid I'm a bryan player that was thinking of picking up law so this happened to kill two birds with one stone lol.
Does anyone have a hard time against paul? So many crushing mids
Paul is a beast in T8.

Yea it’s part of the reason why law slaps xiaoyu pretty hard in this game too. The 1+2 nunchuck will neutralise tarantula and AOP instantly
@@Lambkin-_- lol! Yeah man. That nunchuck drives me crazy when I play Zafina. So true!
Next: Lili pls. Her BT makes her dangerous opponent.

How do you change the color of the nun chucks bro? Which outfit is that?
It’s the “unique” section :)
@@Lambkin-_- much appreciated bro 💯💪🏾
Can you do a video on your mind set going into a hworang match up?
My experience - bigger stages, keep distance and counter with 3+4. That's all I found working against Bryan. It is too easy for him to launch you.
Id rather fight bryan than a xiaoyu any day of the year bro😂 every time i fight bryan i get happy because i get to play normal tekken

Damn as someone who plays steve that gave me chills lol, everytime I see a Ling player I go "well its time to lose we had a nice run" lol

yeah do a good to bad matchups video
It's always been like this between Law and Bryan. Well at least for me, I like the character but dread fighting the guy lol
I totally agree anyone who can corner law is a problem 😂i mean damn you can't even get your faster punches off with law against a spammy brian 😩
lol quite awkward that i main both law and bryan
Kazuya next pls xD
