So excited this video got made. I remember asking for it several months ago and since then have done a flawless hard solo. This helped point out some ways to make the solo even easier.
year 2 version: hunter, dont touch me, ace of spades(or any good firefly weapon), solar sniper, sword of some sort(dark drinker if not using ace of spades)bladedance with shadowjack, stalker, vanish, and escape artist for abyss, gunslinger with any build for the rest.
I did a flawless solo on a Titan and replicated how you did your speedruns. Ended up dying mainly at the Shrieker Hallway but managed to get it in the end. Your speedrun strategy was a lot useful, at least for me, than this. Probably because you used better weapons.
A good way to do the shrieker hallway is to kill all the thrall. The thrall do not respawn in that hallway until both shriekers are dead and you are nearing the end, so if you take your time killing ads, you can do it pretty easily as well as stacking up your super :)

Watching this in July 2016. The solar grenades now apply a burn effect on yourself. That strategy still works but I could swear I have died to my own solar grenade. If you have good gear in The Taken King almost anything is workable especially with sniper lmg being the meta.
Just a thought but.. A lot of people have issues in that at second bridge during ogres. I find it best personally that you just go to the top of the steps on the right rock. If you feel comfortable you can stand on top of the two doors at the bottom of said steps to clear adds also. I know your stratgey works but on the steps you can shoot gjallarhorn for instance without worrying about proximity explosions because of thrall. Also black hammer users are usually capable of getting 3 precision shots in succession easier since you can't be hit from a melee attack up there. What do you think??
in my opinion i think that hunters are really good for sword, they have more agility naturally, and their jumps arent slow like titans lift and warlocks glide
Sunbreakers double the solar grenades time from 5 secs to 10. They're pretty useful when you want to block off areas. Especially if you have 2 of them (PVP)

@ 1:36, one of the tips you gave was that hunters can do it with blink but it's the most difficult with the hunter, did you forget about the bones of eao? Just putting that out there
I personally think bladedancers and defenders are infinitely better thanany warlock class for CE solos, but if you only have a warlock this guide is pretty good.
I was practicing that jump two days ago when I was raiding with friends. I saw this video today, tried it, even with 2+ mida agility, was jumping even lower than I did before and I have no idea how that's even possible xD
try and have 2 or 3 darkness before you jump on the rock then jump immediately as it disappears. there is a period of maybe 1 or 2 seonds where you wont be affected by weight.
At the end of the rock there's a higher part and you have to have a weapon with 2+ agility like mida suros nlb etc and when you're almost at the wall activate your super.... Good luck

Yes you can... Jump 2 times at the beginning of the jump and then in the middle jump again and you should make it but have armor that has increased melee attack speed

I set max agility, equipped mida and put on those boots with some extra ag but still I'm not able to fly above the bridge and also I have to step first on that little ledge in the corner if I go from the side which is pretty risky - just can't land right on the rock like you did.
back in CE instead of using sunbreakerson crotaI used apotioses veil ( sorry for bad spelling) on hard mode because I needed health regen cause on my hunter I could use hungering blade on my titan I used bubble so the veil was very useful for hard
Great video...Struggling with the Crota part. I have max'd Gjally, only able to down him once, landing only two hits. I've gotten him down to 25% once...that's about it. Any advice?

I'm having two problems: First, I can't get four hits in per downing. Yes. I *THINK* I'm hitting him as soon as the grenade is exploding, mashing the RT. Still only 3 hits. Second, the Swordbarer after the ogre phase isn't there until about 10 seconds before Crota starts moving to the side, only giving 3 swords, the 4th happening as Enrage triggers.
Also when you rapidly press the RT button you over sample it. It basically when you press the trigger much faster than the fire rate of the weapons/sword you are using.

For Year 2 Players: Dont use the Gjallarhorn Strat. Gjallarhorn is a 2-3 shot so RNG may screw up your run. Do the Machine Gun and Grenade Strat it always works! :D

Does doing this solo unlock the "Flawless Raider" Trophy/Achievement? The reason I ask is because the "Flawless Striker" Trophy requires at least two people to run the strike.

for the thrallway, standing in a solar grenade to gjallarhorn the second shrieker works even without sunbreakers.

If you have ttk or roi and are doing it today, use dank drinker or sleeper simulant.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the totems activate after crossing into the ogre spawn areas, at least, they haven't for me.

If you sprint and hold the left stick forward you slam a lot faster

Are you using the explosion for extra height or are you just jumping and using the super to get up, I can't really see what you are doing.
