A few things to know or that I am guessing at. First, for Bo-Katan, it was more her worrying that the Dark Saber had gone missing than Mando. Second, that move she made to retrieve the saber during the droid fight was the same one that Sabine Wren made during the sparing with Kanan in the Rebels series. Last, Mando was looking for both a droid he could trust AND one that could be a companion to help fight or watch Grogu if needed. This part I am guessing at, (WHOOSHING SOUND) The more you know! 😈
*Spoilers* Having to see Bo Katan return to Mandalore and have the interaction with Grogu...then weild the dark sabre, my heart melted. Then have her see the Mythosaur...Bo Katan is BACK! 😭😭😭
Grogu was not with Luke for two years. That is from a quote taken out of context. The quote was referring to the fact it's been 2 years in the real world since Grogu went with Luke at the end of season 2
Blood plasma is a straw-colored or yellowish liquid that makes up the majority of blood volume. The color of blood plasma is due to the presence of various substances, including water, electrolytes, proteins, hormones, and nutrients. These substances can give the plasma a slight yellow tint. The yellow color of plasma is also more noticeable when blood is separated and the plasma is isolated from the red and white blood cells. The exact shade of yellow can vary depending on the individual's hydration status and the concentration of substances in the plasma.
I think after the cyborg thing came back from being 'dead' once, I would have made sure by slicing up whatever organic parts were inside the head/orb instead of just assuming it was dead when the light went out.
Poor Peli, I absolutely hate having to work on Boonta Eve. You miss all the drinking and fireworks. 😠 Loved Katee in this and seeing more of Bo-Katan. Grogu’s ears flapping in the wind when he’s cruising are just everything! 😂🤣 You said Firefly! OH…SOMEONE’S…GOD!😱👍 I really hope you like it. No, I hope you love it.
Angela, you're the action news reporter of the Star Wars Galaxy. I can imagine the last question in your interview with Bo-Katan, "How do you keep your hair so perfect under your helmet?"
No question the humanoid monsters were an homage to HG Wells monsters in the Time Machine. And I thought they looked cool. But the Mythosaur was AWESOME!
Sabre blades, as I was once explained it, apparently weigh so much that they require the Force to be able to lift them and control the weight safely. Its like swinging a sledge hammer with a giant end attached otherwise. I don't know though, I am much more the Trekkie.
Yes and no. Being able to connect with the force can help, but with enough melee training a non-force user can wield a lightsaber. We did just witness Bo-Katan fight with the darksaber like it was an extension of her. It could be that Din didn't focus on melee training (even his use of the beskar staff in season 2 wasn't very expertly).
My jaw doesn't drop that often, but the Mythosaur made my jaw drop and i had to physically move it up. Also Grogu knows the Armorer so Bo isn't the only other one he knows.
Yeah, it was more about the fact that he is the first one he saw being as capable as Din. Every other, while they are decent fighters, don't come close to Din or Bo. ( Hell, with the dark saber, none come close to Bo. )
By the way, at 14:20 there was a scary monster shadow on your wall :) tense series. I'm glad you like kittens. Was that Grogu? Ears are similar :) Thanks for the review, we are looking forward to new episodes !!
Din is such a Paladin. His belief is palpable. He sees others without their helmets, but when he is castigated for his choice to remove it, he doubles down and starts a redemption quest. I think that Bo's lack of faith will erode under the influence of his implacable drive. And the Mythosaur. If he had IG-11 with him, would he have folded him up into the trunk? R5-D4, not R4. 😉
there is *one,* maybe two ways, in which Din here can totally become a White Knight to Bo, the right way both literary and politically. she won't take the saber as a handout, and he won't fight her... so, might as well marry her. if done correctly, that'll trigger up SO MANY PEOPLE, and I'll be right there with a basin at the ready to bathe in those tears: SW showing a strong woman actually falling for a guy she can't kill, because he's being a badass AND raising a kid.
I think the first episode had to do a lot of recap for what happened during The Book of Boba Fett, since not everyone who watches The Mandalorian would have also watched the other show and more casual viewers would be really confused that Grogu was back with Din and also that Din had been excommunicated from his cult. So a lot of the 'we already know this' or 'why is he going back here' issues are because season 2.5 of The Mandalorian happened on a different show.
It sounded to me like Din's "This is the way" was more of honoring her father and his sacrifice. His voice cracked when he said it like he was holding back tears. He knows what it's like to lose his parents after all. And it probably caught her off guard that someone from his sect would feel that way about someone they don't consider real Mandalorians. I wonder if Bo Katan is going to end up taming the mythosaur as a new way of uniting the Mandalorians and do away with the dark saber stuff. I gotta believe that pulling off the feat of the founder of the Mandalorian civilization would trump possession of a Mandalorian Jedi's lightsaber.
I guess Mando's first stop was the Armorer because he wanted to ask first if he'll actually be accepted back if he did find a way to bathe in the mines of Mandalore. And when she (in my point of view, somewhat grudgingly) said ok fine, this is the way, then he set out to actually do so. (Prior to this, in the 2 years in between seasons, I suppose he might have thought there was no chance for redemption, until perhaps he met the Jawas who had the cystallized specimen. Maybe that was recent. And while, as you said, it would have been nice to see that, maybe it's just an uneventful thing that's fine to just refer to and not show. 🤪) So anyway, next stop since it is decided that he will try to get back to Mandalore was to enlist the help of the only droid he would trust... Nevarro it is. But that didn't work out so he has to get parts first. And where would you find hard to find parts? The Jawas of Tatooine, of course. And that's the only part that's a little weird to me. Why go to Bo-Katan first before Tatooine? Why not Tatooine first? Then back to Nevarro, assuming he gets the parts for the Anzellans, then to Bo-Katan with the repaired IG-11. Then on to Mandalore. Maybe it's a location thing? Idk. 🤪 Is Kalevala (sp?) on the way from Nevarro to Tatooine? Or maybe Din just thought to go by Bo-Katan first out of courtesy? I mean, I expect his plan was to join her forces, and ask them to go with him to Mandalore, perhaps volunteering to go first to check the atmosphere, but maybe he didn't want to go all alone (by all alone, I mean just him and Grogu and IG-11). Maybe his plan was to go with a small group including Bo-Katan, and perhaps those other two Mandos he met with her. So anyway, maybe he thought it best to go by her first before getting parts for IG, so that they'd have time to prepare themselves for the task. That might be better than showing up there, saying he wants to join them, then saying ok let's go right now, I have everything ready. 😆 Ok. I rambled. 🤪 Sorry. 😅 Just my ideas on your thoughts about why he went all over the place first. 😁 And as luck would have it, he had a run in with pirates along the way. 🤭
I pointed out a scientific inacuracy in the last video so I thought might as well make it a thing! This week it's the position of Mandalor, it's moon, and the planet Bo Katan was on. All three are livable with approximately similar climate (large amounts of liquid water) so all need to be within the goldilocks zone of thier star. The issue is that Mandalor has a stable moon when the proximity of another nearby planet would certainly have thrown off it's orbit sending it into space. Or the planets collide or anything other than sitting happily in orbit next to each other.
Not all astromechs are nervous ninnies; however, it could also be that R2-D2 and Chopper (from Rebels) are the exceptions, considering that both are also mass murderers.
I've seen other comments about Din losing the dark saber, and Bo-Katan picking it up, and defeating the "robot bug" that technically defeated Din and won the sword. Yes it a technicality, but if I remember what Moff Gideon said, it's that the dark saber doesn't have power, the story does... by that logic, wouldn't the story of her rescuing Din by defeating the Robot bug have some power? Or would it have to be some kind of super-epic battle that lasts days to have the same effect? BTW, @Angela, I started re-watching the expanse through your reaction videos and I was very impressed with some of your story and character insights that I've never thought of while I was watching for the first time, I feel like I'm getting even more out of the series with your reaction videos. Thank you!
It has been confirmed that season 3 takes place two years later. So, Grugu did learn new Jedi stuff. Also, the other thing you mentioned how you felt confused by all the directions the first episode did but after I remembered another reaction video I seen they mentioned it felt like side quest you would do leading up to the main quest in a video game.
Yeah, I was just as excited about the mythosaur, too. Imagine them calling a great hunt this season to call all the children of mandalore to fell their ancient foe and restore their honor as a people.
A few things I have noticed from this episode. I think the Mythosaur is a vegetarian-why else would it have not immediately eaten Bo and Din? Also, I think Grogu is seeing a little something happening between them-"What are you looking at?" is a possible clue! And having worn my Mando helmet, I will surmise that her hair is perfect because of complex electronics, fans, and perhaps magnetic metal hair. 'cause when I remove my helmet my hair is a disaster! My fave moment is your reaction the the creature leaping out of the dirt to grab Mando! And how cool is it that not only do we look upon Din and Gogu as father and son, but everyone they know in their universe calls them dad and his kid. That is adorable! And I think the droid creature was taking blood so it could survive on something other than the Morlock-y things.
Little Grogu is growing up! I predict this season he will get some action scenes of his own, and will speak his first words. So excited! Mythosaur is pretty cool, too, I guess. 😉
Ok Angela you referenced the Star Wars Holiday Special and you now have my eternal respect/pity. Also, MORLOCKS! Those are the subterranean mutated humans from "The Time Machine", and I had that EXACT same thought when I saw those monsters! :D Great minds think alike I guess! ;) And it's so awesome to see Bo-Katan being an epic badass in live action AND teaming up with Grogu!!!! XD Katee Sackhoff is incredible, and Bo-Katan might be close to the level of epic-ness of Bobbie Draper! (not quite, but almost ;)
In a sit down with Jon Favreau, he says Grogu was with Luke for over a year (in time line). If i could find it i would link it. Sometimes time li e chart are easy to find. And sometimes they are a pain to find.
As far as the Mythasaur goes, they mentioned it was tamed. Wether this is the same one or not. It didnt seem aggressive. But it probably awoken bo catan to get up and get mandalore put back together
Boy, I must be dense, I really didn't pick up on all the Mythosaur name drops the whole episode...Maybe just cause I assumed they were a long extinct species, so I never really expected we were going to actually see one. I donno though if Bo was so much annoyed by what Din said, as much as slightly taken aback. I'd like to think she recognizes Din is giving respect, in spite of her cynicism. It might also explain why she was so quick to dive after him when he fell. It seems like there might be a mutual respect finally starting to build between the two of them.
My theory is that Din lost the Darksabre to the robot monster, and then Bo-Katan defeated the robot monster, so she has won the Darksabre in combat, and legitimately owns it now. It allows Bo to gain mastery without her having to kill Din - letting her go on to greater things without requiring a fight neither of them wants!

@@gerardlacroix6015 So you're telling me. That an enormous monster, that has been there for 6, 7 thousands of years, didn't need any food during all these years?
@@SpartanOli Maybe Mythosaurs are quite close to tardigrades in the grand biological chart ? Maybe when in dormance it dosen't require food since it doesn't use any energy at all ? It's Star Wars, there is whales flying through dimensions in the vastness of space and seemingly being able to defeat the gravity of worlds, or breach star destroyers with their heads... Who knows what a Mythosaur can do.
Grogu said Pelli's name at the start! 😊
When Mando first met Quill and he was training him to ride those blurg things he had said "you're ancestors rode the great Mythosaur"...it's crazy Bo and Din both just encountered one and I can't wait to see who rides it.
*_Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me._*
Perfect time to announce Firefly since, you know, the theme song kinda fits with this episode, too. 😁
It was clear to me after Chapter 17, that we'd be getting some loose ends tied up eventually. Pretty accustomed to that with Star Wars television.
what a joy to see the video pop up with your lovely smile
A few things to know or that I am guessing at.
First, for Bo-Katan, it was more her worrying that the Dark Saber had gone missing than Mando.
Second, that move she made to retrieve the saber during the droid fight was the same one that Sabine Wren made during the sparing with Kanan in the Rebels series.
Last, Mando was looking for both a droid he could trust AND one that could be a companion to help fight or watch Grogu if needed. This part I am guessing at,
(WHOOSHING SOUND) The more you know!
😈
He cannot lift the DarkSaber as he is torn between Grogu and Ellie lol
*Spoilers* Having to see Bo Katan return to Mandalore and have the interaction with Grogu...then weild the dark sabre, my heart melted. Then have her see the Mythosaur...Bo Katan is BACK! 😭😭😭
Grogu was not with Luke for two years. That is from a quote taken out of context. The quote was referring to the fact it's been 2 years in the real world since Grogu went with Luke at the end of season 2
This episode was a love letter to Grogu aka Baby Yoda fans
That droid/creature thingy was trying to sap and impurify all of Mando’s precious bodily fluids. 😉
Poor Peli, I absolutely hate having to work on Boonta Eve. You miss all the drinking and fireworks. 😠
Loved Katee in this and seeing more of Bo-Katan. She was a badass as Starbuck, she continues to be one, especially wielding the Darksaber.
Angela’s face seeing the Mythosaur 😯😱😲🤪🥰 I hope we see it again next episode.
Grogu’s ears flapping in the wind when he’s cruising are just everything! 😂🤣
You said Firefly! OH…SOMEONE’S…GOD!😱👍 I really hope you like it. No, I hope you love it.
Angela, you're the action news reporter of the Star Wars Galaxy. I can imagine the last question in your interview with Bo-Katan, "How do you keep your hair so perfect under your helmet?"
ever since the armor told that story, I have been waiting for this to happen I knew they put that in there for a reason.
I might need to make Bo Katan's ship, that thing looks rad!
YES!!! Firefly is coming!!
No question the humanoid monsters were an homage to HG Wells monsters in the Time Machine. And I thought they looked cool. But the Mythosaur was AWESOME!
I think you're right! They felt very familiar to me for some reason, but I couldn't place them
Sabre blades, as I was once explained it, apparently weigh so much that they require the Force to be able to lift them and control the weight safely.
Yeah Grogu has seen lots of Mandalorians since season 1
Yeah, it was more about the fact that he is the first one he saw being as capable as Din. Every other, while they are decent fighters, don't come close to Din or Bo. ( Hell, with the dark saber, none come close to Bo. )
I thought of the Morlocks from The Time Machine too.
@Nighthawk If that happens, "The helmet stays on in the bedroom."
Loved your review, as well as your ready laugh and onscreen personality. You've earned another subscriber. :)
MORLOCKS... The 1961 Time Machine. Cool!
I love that you referenced R.O.U.S.
in the cave.😂
So anyway, next stop since it is decided that he will try to get back to Mandalore was to enlist the help of the only droid he would trust...
Ok. I rambled. 🤪 Sorry. 😅 Just my ideas on your thoughts about why he went all over the place first. 😁
And as luck would have it, he had a run in with pirates along the way. 🤭
BO swinging the saber with ease!
"No one comes here for facts." 😆
You just got yourself a new subscriber!
THAT, was the rare Croco-Stimpy!
The fact that Bo-Katan Kryze wields the Dark Saber with such little effort…
I pointed out a scientific inacuracy in the last video so I thought might as well make it a thing! This week it's the position of Mandalor, it's moon, and the planet Bo Katan was on. All three are livable with approximately similar climate (large amounts of liquid water) so all need to be within the goldilocks zone of thier star. The issue is that Mandalor has a stable moon when the proximity of another nearby planet would certainly have thrown off it's orbit sending it into space. Or the planets collide or anything other than sitting happily in orbit next to each other.
That cyborg sorta resemble the robot in 2018 lost in space tv series... and the end of the episode is "holy sh!t!"
Man, Grogu seems like he's getting that teenage Groot attitude... lol
My Daughter and I loved this .Its obvious Bo cares about Din .Both episodes been amazing. Team Bo Din Grogu bring Mandalore back together
Rodents of Unusual Size? I don’t think they exist
The last 20 minutes I kept saying to myself that it’d be funny if what happened at the end did.
I hd the same thought, the guys were from the Time Machine. Great minds think alike 😆
When walking down into the waters, you have to watch out for that last step. Its a doozy.
the morlock in the time machine you are right lol
Little Grogu is growing up! I predict this season he will get some action scenes of his own, and will speak his first words. So excited!
Mythosaur is pretty cool, too, I guess. 😉
Ok Angela you referenced the Star Wars Holiday Special and you now have my eternal respect/pity.
Also, MORLOCKS! Those are the subterranean mutated humans from "The Time Machine", and I had that EXACT same thought when I saw those monsters! :D Great minds think alike I guess! ;)
And it's so awesome to see Bo-Katan being an epic badass in live action AND teaming up with Grogu!!!! XD Katee Sackhoff is incredible, and Bo-Katan might be close to the level of epic-ness of Bobbie Draper! (not quite, but almost ;)
In a sit down with Jon Favreau,
he says Grogu was with Luke for over a year (in time line).
If i could find it i would link it.
Sometimes time li e chart are easy to find. And sometimes they are a pain to find.
So Grogu went to go get auntie Bo 😅😅😅
As far as the Mythasaur goes, they mentioned it was tamed. Wether this is the same one or not. It didnt seem aggressive. But it probably awoken bo catan to get up and get mandalore put back together
Bo just saved Din .... _twice_ ... in the span of a few hours.
she could have taken the saber and ran away with it.
I say we ship it.
He's not the Mandalorian.
He's the Mandalore!
Nice Princess Bride reference ;)
Morlocks from "The Time Machine (1960)" ❤
My theory is that Din lost the Darksabre to the robot monster, and then Bo-Katan defeated the robot monster, so she has won the Darksabre in combat, and legitimately owns it now. It allows Bo to gain mastery without her having to kill Din - letting her go on to greater things without requiring a fight neither of them wants!
Bo looked at the Darksaber and said, "Come to Mama!" And she delivered.
Hi 👋🏽 I really enjoyed your reaction to this episode so much the part where Din and Bo use the darksaber🖤 same episode and Grogu saving his daddy and doing the flips 💚
Ahsoka did call him a he so we know Grogu is a boy, was their first meeting with Ahsoka when Mando was trying to get her to stop attacking him.
Now grogu has a mom
