I was making a PB&J sandwich for a 3 yo. I had discovered my wife had a selection of different size round biscuit cutters. Thinking it would be fun - I cut a large circle out of the bread and served a round PB&J sandwich. The screams of outrage!!! "THATS NOT THE WAY MOMMIE DOES IT".

This video may have been mostly fails, but as someone who does bulk buying and bulk freezing of various foods and leftovers, the dissolvable labels caught my attention a lot! Adding to my cart and plan to buy them in the future.
Also, those pens would have been one of my favorite things as a kid. I had a blast with the markers as a kid that one side was a normal tip and the other side was a stamp. This would be the next best thing, even if they don't go in a straight line lol.

I'm a teacher and having a laminator is EVERYTHING lol. Even when I'm not doing stuff for the classroom I do little projects with my nieces and family and they love it. Even my boyfriend enjoys using it for his car projects and his handy man stuff. And that pencil case is very useful too! I bought 2 one black and one teal not from that exact seller but from amazon also. One I use for my makeup and it's been amazing what I can fit in it. The other one I fit my teacher stuff , pens, highlighters, erasers, whiteouts you name it. Definitely 2 things worth to have 😊

Those labels are conceptually the same as date dots (sometimes called day dots) that are used in restaurants and other food service settings. They’re used for expiration (this chicken needs to be used up or thrown out end of day Saturday, 8/20). They’re even color coded by day (Sunday is Black, Monday is blue) for quick glances and have the day written out, plus a space to write the date. There are lots of different styles and you can probably find them cheaper by searching using food service terminology. The colored labels do bleed somewhat if you get them partially wet, but I never had it not come out with water & a bit of soap.

Even when you get many fails, that is still useful information for folks. Even when the product fails for you, it might be useful to someone whose situation is not quite like yours. Because of the detail with which you show the products you use, they might see it being useful for them. Even giving someone an indication about how steep the learning curve might be for a product is really useful, too.
Your frustrations are as entertaining as your successes, and it's good to see someone giving these things a rigorous testing.

You need a cheese slicer, not a knife! Perfect thin slices, altough you might need to get the technique perfected if you're not used to it. Basically every household in the Nordic countries have one. I thought it was something everyone had, until I moved to the south of Europe and people didn't have it. One of my friends called mine "a cool gadget" and I just looked at them like "would you call a fork a cool gadget too?"
Look at IKEA for cheese slicer, they have one called Hjälpreda for ~$5.

I get you, I have totally been tempted to buy a laminator every time I see them lately. I will say though, a cheap but less permanent alternative is those page protector sheets, the thin plastic sleeve you slide paper into that can go in a binder, TOTALLY work with dry erase markers. So if you can't go laminator or it's something you're going to change up more that it's not worth the full laminating, page protectors work GREAT.

Maybe workbook pages with math or handwriting some thing that they have to repeat. And you don’t have to use just whiteboard Markers. They could color with crayons and just use like a magic eraser to clean it off. You should experiment with different things there’s so much fun. You can also three hole punch them and put them in a binder for safekeeping and reuse. You are amazing!

Also, life hack if your kids (or you) like eggs in a hole (or whatever you call it) it's pretty easily done in the oven (just make sure to butter/mayo both sides of the bread: top so it doesn't burn and gets nice and crunchy crisp and bottom so it doesn't let the egg spread as much as possible and a little crisp)
We like to put the middle part on top as like a little "hat" but I also thought using them as like "crackers" or "mini toast" or whatever could be cute and fun for kids.

Teacher hack: don’t want to buy a laminator as they are expensive and faffy? Simply use a plastic wallet.
They wipe off better with the dry wipe markers and kids love taking the sheet of paper out afterwards and seeing their writing on the see through plastic.
    Cheap and easy!

Also more environmentally friendly as well which is nice. And a lot of those sheets have holes in them so you could put them in a binder or something to keep organized

Laminators are the absolute best. I have one I mostly use in a workplace capacity. But. I also have laminated versions of favorite post it shapes so I can reuse them. Have made magnets of them. Laminate "awards" for employees so they can pin them on. Let me tell you, nobody ever grows out of ribbons, stickers, or certificates. A reward system that works with kindergarteners also works with grown adult men and women.

Ok Rachel, hear me out! Get a cheese slicer. It’s a very common to have them in Finland, Sweden etc. It makes slicing cheese to easy and you get the same thickness on every slice!

I love that you named the 🐸 Herman because about 20 years ago when my son was 2, he was given a frog (stuffed animal) for his birthday I think. When we asked him what he was going to name him, we thought he was saying Kermit but he was actually saying Herman!💚🐸😂🤣

Plastic bags are not made to be safe at boiling, you are leaching a ton of plastic chemicals directly in your food if you do that.

Ball canning has had dissolvable labels for years now. Great for canning during the summer and then when you eat the jam, you can put the entire jar into the dishwasher and don't have to worry about the label gunking up the mechanism!
