That mic setup is crazy creative. I use a Soundkitz AE-F with my mic setup it's like night and day with it. It's also good if you don't have the full studio setup or want to dump money you could be spending on other gear into tossing foam all over your bedroom or wherever.
A Couple Answers: Michael, That's the kind of thing I would google... Unless if, instead of "how do I," you actually meant "do I," in that case I think that's up to you. Idol, If you don't have a Job, Rob a Bank. Also, the beat at 1:20 is quite sick, and damn it all, Pirate bay, and a lot of other torrent downloading agents, are either down, or just have problems in general, stopping me from downloading anything.. hope that changes. I remember starting out with nothing but a four-track tape-recorder and a cheap ass Yamaha guitar. Eventually I replaced the bridge, input, keys, pick-ups and all the guts in that Yamaha and I got my first drum machine, an Alesis SR-16. Now, over ten years later, I've become exceptionally good at playing all typical band instruments, as well as becoming skilled in using alot of awesome programs including FL studio, Logic, Pro-tools, and my Current favorite, Reason. My point is, that I had a lot of fun, with simple, cheap equipment, and even when I first started to study music, it seemed like I was constantly recording everything I played. Some people think it's pointless to record as you learn, people say that you should learn how to play an instrument and then record yourself, which, at first, sounds logical.... But look at it this way... In the same way that understanding an instrument can give you a new sense of appreciation for all music, recording yourself often and listening to it (especially as a beginner) will help you advance your skills much faster. Audacity is a pretty neat piece of free-ware (it's a multi-track digital recording software that you can get at download.com) that has effects like a Leveler, compressor, noise-removal, etc. So, record yourself practicing, I'ts a great way to remember that riff that you don't remember anything about except for the fact that it sounded awesome... or if everything you play tends to sound horribly worthless to you, you can always delete it. I dunno why I just ranted here, so I'll end this book I've written by saying that music should be fun, so don't get frustrated and give up, don't be discouraged, and try to enjoy yourself. I used to use pc in some of my first TH-cam videos until I bought a better camera and found that windows movie maker can't edit the video of the more professional cameras unless I bought a program which cost about $800. Not only that the videos took like 3 hours to process before I could put them out. MAC just really saved me a lot of trouble for what I wanted to do. If you do ever decide to switch look for the refurbished ones on apples web site.
LOL... Hey sownds, what's up, I'm your new subscriber. I got carried away there, probably cause I'm so High right now. But I forgot to say that I appreciate your videos, and will pass them on to others who're seeking such fantastic tips!
can you please post up a video of you actually recording vocals on your microphone and editing on garageband? I want to see how good it sounds (quality wise). Thanks!
great vid, it would be great if you could discuss your knowledge on the business aspects of music and what there is to be known when it comes to selling beats
i have pro tools, pro tools is top notch if your willin to give it the time....also i do respect your opinion and understand your point of the video but matress foam and studio foam have a huge differences yes the bed foam does help and make a noticable difference but what the two do to sound is completly diff....keep it up though man...
1.SonarX2 essentials 2.Midi keyboard 3.my own headphones 4. my old mics (ill barely use them so idc) 5. audio interface (Komplete Audio6) 6.BCF2000 control surface 7. cant get monitors for a few months but i will Is that ok? I know the BCF's not necessary but i cant stand draging the faders lol
use what you feel don't get branded i can make some fire on what ever be it softe or hard ware i use FL for now but will be getting in to other DAW'S in the future to learn there pro's and con's good music is good music .
I've seen producers that use Pro Tools & Logic and they're garbage, but I've also seen producers use FL and Magix and they create radio ready masterpieces. It's the expereince behind the DAW that really matters. peace
LOL......it's not whaaaaaack, but you get to make the choice of what you want to use as opposed to using software that comes with the system. Ultimately, it's whatever you like. I use PC because i'm so accustomed to it. In all these yers, i've never even sat in front of a MAC. I'll check it out though, since PC's are so whaaaaaack...lol
MPC?????................Oh no nothing sophisticated here. For those who don't have an MPC, Cubase's Groove Agent works just as good, even FL Studio. Good vid, but future producers, jus find a DAW u r comfortable with, learn it, breathe it, and you'll be fine. I say Cubase or FL Studio bcuz u can do anything in those programs. What it comes down too is the skills u bring will determine ur success.
The music that gets produced with it all--------------PRICELESS!
You are a beast with this! You inspire other producers like myself for sure!

this has been very helpful! Thank You!
It's actually really good and clear surprisingly. It also depends on the quality of the Mic.
Yes because it comes with a recording program for vocals and you can always upgrade later so you do get more options with MAC
