Sublime is the greatest cover band in the history of cover bands. I also love seeing a sublime cover band because it's essentially a cover band of a cover band. Although they do have some very amazingly great original tracks the vast majority of their greatest hits where versions of other songs. This took inspiration from musical history that for a long time artist he took songs with lyrics and music and made them into new melodies with the same exact writing. Even crossing genres and mixing lyrics with other melodies most of the time it was just a Melody that was played with other instruments then the original track. It wasn't until Buddy Holly released his first album that we had introduced to the first singer-songwriter prior to that you were either a singer or a songwriter 99% of all musicians were either not both so Buddy Holly will be highly regarded as the king of pop music and rock and roll because he was the first truly honest singer songwriter. I grew an obsession with him when I found out that his birthday was on my father's birthday and his death day was on my mother's birthday all different years but same date. I am from Tennessee grew up in Nashville and have family in Memphis and have been highly interested in the history of music and being from Tennessee I had great insight into these cultures and subjects of society that live on the fringes and have their own unique sounds when it comes to music. I've traveled around the world and all over my country always to find my way back here to Tennessee I love Tennessee and will hopefully be able to call at my home for the rest of my life😊 I am a proud Tennessee and love the richness of our history not all is good
to start off sublime's been my favorite band of all time and I'm 37.. so I've Loved sublime since before I became an opiate addict.. all the way through my addiction.. and now that I'm sober again after 10 years.. I'm so glad this footage was released because it means so much to me. it's a little painful seeing Bradley struggle through that song a little.. it just goes to show what drugs can we'll take away from you.. no matter who you are or how talented you are.
Brad had his wedding ring on. My ex wife, who suffers from BPD, has been secreting my son from me. I have served her with ex-parte custody orders. The Firecracker Lounge ("Sublime - Bradley Nowell and Friends") version of this song is the best version. "If she thinks that she is gonna take you from me, she gotta be a crazy crazy crazy, crazy fool." I love you Theo.
On some real shit, ima always love Sublime, and nobody could or can replace Bradley. But, I've seen them with Rome and they've got MAD skills altogether.
