Sublime's legendary performance at Hollywood's Palace Theatre using a combination of 16mm film footage and Hi-8 video footage captured by two different filmmakers. vevo.ly/3tN8w5
I seented' them once. I was lucky enough to be born at the right time and was EXTREMELY fortunate to have caught a LOT of cool shows. I'm very appreciative.
Alot of the shows from 96 sublime plays songs off the self titled album before it's release and everyone in the crowd knew the words already and were singing along. Sublime had a very loyal following and I'm pretty sure they had a bit of a clue that these guys were the shit.
Lou Doggie Dogg. Brad is a epic legend. He created this sound. The combination of a bunch of styles masterfully. Reggae, punk, soul, funk. Dude will always be so missed
In my 20s when I had this version on a live disc I would bump it the minute I hit Lake Tahoe and blaze along whole drive around it to my cabin .. 2:25-2:37 mark gives me goosebumps. RIP Bradley
Pretty sure opie was their sound guy for this. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. I know brad had someone hitting his echo for him. Guitar and vocals.
When I bust my lyrics we all know it's wicked and wiley.... "Lord have his mercy"... Its a way better offering than a grilled cheese... Cant wait to see Bradley perform in the afterlife! Only real fans will get the grilled cheese reference
Brad left his fucking impact on the music industry. This song and live performance shows what a fucking Boss DJ he truly was. Biggest loss of the 90s. He’s always been one of my biggest inspirations as a musician when it comes to originality and passion for the music that is inside of us all.
These guys did ska / punk different. Like I can do ska / punk with my 3 piece band (we do it in fact), but there's something distinctive in the way these guys do it. Not only Bradley's voice, also the way they play, it's like super tight and Brad's guitar is the perfect tone.
Once upon a time, real musicians and singers lived and reigned.....and then AutoTune came and gave birth to soulless impostors.....but Sublime was the last band ever before AutoTune took over....pure fact!
It's so confusing because I used to own the 40 Oz to freedom guitar book. And it claimed the lyrics were. "Ain't nothing wrong, ain't nothin right but still I SET and lie awake all night" but it seems obvious he's saying SIT
One of my ticks is All of the DJs surely have taken lessons start talkin trash and I’ll come with my smith and Wesson BUCK BUCK” and my wife got so irritated when No Duh Band played it at a concert cuz it unleashed a tick storm lol
This is a masterpiece. Live version just verifies it.
I totally agree. This song is one of my favorites...love it!!!
I honestly think this song is and was better live. The album version always felt flat and soft.
The people who where at this concert had no clue how lucky they where
No clue
My thoughts exactly!

Elvis is only one comparable as far as greatness. Not debatable over here.
Is there a reason he liked Reggae so much? Serious question. Just curious. I think it's cute! xp Fabulous singer!!♡
He took a trip with his dad to Jamaica when he was a kid and the music stayed with him.
