In the 70s my uncle was given a childs bed by a friend for his soon to be born child.
On the headboard was painted the name ' Gary ' in blue gloss paint.
His friend said he would keep it in his house until my aunty had the baby.
When my aunt and uncle were choosing a name a day after the boy was born,my uncle suggested the name ' Gary '.
Unknowingly, my aunt agreed, so when the bed arrived,my aunt was so pleased that my uncle had got the name painted on the ' new ' bed especially for her newborn son.
True story, which i still find funny 20 years after my uncles demise.
Nowt to do with ebikes, although i have a DYU D3F.
Thanks for the vid Steve, and the 360° camera shots.

I don't have a license and don't really have the need for one, but ebike+pannier bags= I can do grocery shopping and a variety of errands myself.

Nice vid :) I used to work in bike shops for a few years and some bits of the packaging are really well thought out here. The bar that was bolted into the fork legs is a nice touch. I’ve lost count of the amount of bikes I’ve seen arrive in large deliveries with bent fork lowers so that’s pretty cool. Technically the bike is illegal in the uk even in restricted form. Ebikes that are legal to use have torque sensors built in so that power is only supplied to the motor while you are pedalling to give ‘pedal assist’. Anything that goes purely under its own power is technically a motor bike and as such needs tax, test, insurance etc… The smaller shops I worked in wouldn’t do any work to the electrical side of these type of bikes as it scared business insurance company. They would fix punctures etc but nothing motor related. I’m hoping it’s just a case of the laws needing to catch up with technology as this type of bike is so widely used now and banning them definitely would be a step backwards imo!

There is no market for e-bikes with a 1000W motor in the UK as the law only allows you to go 25km/h (without drivers license and insurance). Also the seller can't advertise that it can be modified with a "very convenient fix" to 1000W, because modifying it and using it on public roads would be illegal. Also, the UK only allows pedal assist, while it is working as a motorcycle in the video (because the accelerator that was conveniently supplied in the package). So, they had to hire a youtuber to reveal these facts.... Right?

      @christo930 ปีที่แล้ว

Most average people cannot get to 26mph without assist on flat ground. Going downhill you can. Even if you can hit that speed, for most people not acclimated to bicycle riding, they couldn't maintain it.
There is some of kind of rule that if you keep yourself under 75 or 80% of what you can do, you can do it for very long periods of time once you are acclimated to it. But once you pass that threshold, either 75% or 80%, I don't recall which, you can only do it for a short period of time and after which you will need to recover.
There is a video on youtube about human powered flight and they go over this concept. IIRC, they were able to fly about 20 miles in a highly specialized bike-plane hybrid. They went through a number of cyclists to find someone who could generate enough power to fly while staying under that magic 75 or 80% cutoff. The flight took a few hours. They went really slow.
I think the video called Gossamer Albatross: Flight of Imagination is the video I saw with this in it.

I paid £200 for mine. Bought it broken (I think someone jetwashed it, killing the electrics). Replaced the BMS board and speed controller (about £40 in parts total) and it worked. I knew nothing about ebike electrics before this. Worth a look.

I'm in the usa so I had to convert it, but at 26 mph that is pretty fast for an e bike

Not a big fan of all the bike "reviews" lately. I enjoy your normal videos way more.

    Nice bike, Steve :)
But you should NEVER flip over a bike with hydraulic disc brakes. I had to learn this the expensive way. And you should ALWAYS wear a helmet for these :)

Was like. Your garage too dirty or something? I want to see more stuff of you assembling stuff in your kitchen. Do an ikea dresser!
