@@ThemeParkObsessionDD ah this answered my initial question those Oak trees are from the Valencia reservoir back when magic mountain opened they saved the trees from being under water. Moved them here when magic mountain initially opened.
@ Oak trees are HIGHLY PROTECTED in California. If they are to be moved, or cut down, it’s a LENGTHY legal process with environmental California organizations.
Amazing update today, if you look closely you can spot the old log jammer footers, I don't know how long those footers will remain, but they're there for the meantime. I can't wait for this new rollercoaster and I hope that you stay safe from the fires
I just heard about the new attraction at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I’m super excited about the news. They have a lot of land to build a new roller coaster in this section. Thanks for doing an update! Stay safe! I have been hearing about the fires in LA.
According to the plans filed with the government, the stadium terraces will remain. I have heard that this is to retain stability in the hillside, which seems very probable. I hope they landscape the area under the coaster!
The stairs are a good retaining wall. They would be logical to keep the cement seating and incorporate it into the terrain features. Taking it out could result in land collapse/errosion....rather than paying $ to build another, keeping it would therefore be cheaper.
Just remember this permit is the first one filled and mostly for clearing and land grading...they will file another one when and if they do something with the concrete stairs and to build a station and theming etc.
I already told everyone that the weekend after Holiday stuff is taken down they will start construction on this new coaster. They are waiting on announcing it because they want a full Universal announcement for their Hollywood coaster. I'm praying it's the test coaster I mentioned shown on Coaster Nation's social page with the cars spinning one way and the seats another controlled like Guardians of the Galaxy
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD It's what the permits are saying. Vekoma was named as the builder. Basically the lovechild of F.L.Y. and Tron. From the site map it looks like the main concrete slab is staying as there's a moment where the tracks goes out over the edge. I hope you are right and they turn them into some kind of water feature. It would be a nice touch. You could homage both Log Jammer and the Golden Bear Theater with theming around a big water featuer. If you go to Five Fires' channel, he did a post about it reading an article that was published in one of the OC papers about the coaster. The article stated the theme would be off-road motorbiking, but that isn't official, but would makes perfect sense to put something like that next to Full Throttle.
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land and Bashgarders in January and we are in Florida now
The Hurst fire is thankfully almost 100% contained so the risk is much lower. And because the smoke isn’t traveling in the parks direction it’s pretty safe to go.
According to permits oak trees have to stay. Que line goes under station so station must be raised.
Oh that’s right, I forgot about the oak trees. That’s a thing in Valencia.
@@ThemeParkObsessionDD ah this answered my initial question those Oak trees are from the Valencia reservoir back when magic mountain opened they saved the trees from being under water. Moved them here when magic mountain initially opened.

thanks for the update! really exciting, can't wait for the reveal on what its going to be!
I’m so excited to see the official renderings.
Kinda hate to see all the trees being trimmed. One thing I love about six flags over Knott's and some of the other parks is it has trees and greenery
Yeah at the end of the day I hate to see it too. My only hope is that they plant a bunch of new ones to make up for it.
cannot even count the number of concerts I saw in that showcase theater in the 70s, im guessing big acts no longer were visiting MM
Yeah I think the only events they were doing were cheer events. And even that was rare.
Sweet! Can't wait for a new coaster. However I hate seeing trees being cut down.😢
I cant wait for the new coaster too but yeah I agree, the tree removal is always a bummer.

That’s very true. Well hopefully they make it look nice with the new coaster.
Ive seen online and im sure everyone else has a plan sent to velencia and stairs are in the map. Also rumored to be a vakoma prototype.
nice to see it finally starting excited to see the updates that come along :)
Oh there will be a lot of updates. Nearly weekly.
I love the six flags magic mountain like you do Dylan Dickson.
It’s a lot of fun!
"Finally....." Imagine when we can say the same about Knotts' 2025 offering, MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress
Just remember this permit is the first one filled and mostly for clearing and land grading...they will file another one when and if they do something with the concrete stairs and to build a station and theming etc.
Rumor is that the concrete stairs have to stay up, the ground underneath is too soft in order to get rid of it.
5:20 They could cut some trenches though the hill, that would be nice, maybe make roof over the top for tunnel.
Oooo a tunnel would be fun.
The permit shows how much they are going to grade the top of the hills off to flatten it out a little bit
Going to be fun to watch.
Sad about all of those trees being removed
Yeah I hate to see it. Keeping my fingers crossed they plant some new ones.
Omg I saw Tanya Tucker in the stadium .. Long time ago.......
I saw Phyllis Diller there.
Love the video content bro. I do believe this will be a US version of F.L.Y from Phantasialand. It just makes sense by looking at the renderings.
That’s what I’m thinking too. I’m just so happy we could be getting some new age Vekoma FINALLY
Omg that would be splendid. I finally saw an pov of it and it's wild...I am so excited to see what the trains look like.
What about the old monorail track? Have they removed it?
Most of it is gone, but a couple pieces remain
Are they taking out any of those trees they saved from the reservoir back when magic mountain first opened im curious?
was just there yesterday they started wed or thursday cuttng down trees
This was filmed on then 11th.

Yup that was probably me. Haha.
I’ll be at the park a lot the next few months.

Flying motorbike coaster
Fingers crossed that’s what it is. That would be awesome.

What are the chances Vekoma developed the prototype with hopes of selling it to Disney? It sounds ideal for a speeder bike ride.
I like getting short simple update videos
Glad you enjoy them! They will pop up here and there but most of the new video will be longer.
They're going to leave that eyesore concrete theatron and it's going to be so silly
I’m happy they’re leaving it
I hope they do something with it.
i knew i should have gone today

There's more track at Universal...
Yup! I’ll be back at the park soon to check it out.
I guessed it would be a vekoma motorbike coaster and I was right!!
I hope it’s something epic! Anything Vekoma lately has been awesome.
Inverted according to the permits
Love your channel but didn’t know you associated with those grifters can’t support sorry
I get it, Matterhorn isn’t for everyone because it’s a bit bumpy but hey I love it. Left side is my fav. 😊
