falling grains hanging, slowed to a crawl" --> for some reason this line specifically feels to me about climate change
"crawling through doors and wandering halls
heeding now your amygdala’s call" --> fear of populism/leftism as they see the world not ending as fast as they think it would've (climate optimism?)
