This album holds a special place in my heart. It came out when I was going through a breakup. This song as well as Don't Ask Me To Beg helped me a lot. I especially found strength in the lyrics, "I can breathe through the pen in my throat. I don't fear the pit, I will float"
Without wanting to get lost in exaggerations and superlatives, this band has undergone an incredible evolution after an already impressive journey. The whole album feels natural, despite all the technique and finesse, not too technical or forced. Canary is amazing, but it takes "only" second place after Cold Reactor.
@@BeckyEscalator in my opinion the imagery of the lyrics best matches the album title, especially with the canary mine concept. On top of that it's my favourite framing of the mountainheads as a religion/cult, with somebody who was ultimately innocent (a canary) being radicalised and used expendably in the pits On top of that there's the response lyrics in the second verse ("heed my warning") which could have some cool visuals to match
@@lukemorris9857 Fair reasoning. But it can never beat the visuals that the song painted in my head, nor my interpretation of the canary, who she is, what she represents.
I love this song! It's so ethereal, I imagined something ethereal! But it wasn't like that, it really could have been better, that the album logo appeared, it seems like an unnecessary watermark.
I saw a book called 'Everything Everything' the other day in a charity shop. I would imagine the book preceded the band. Is this where the band found the name?
If I was forced to listen to one band for the rest of my existence, it would be EE. I genuinely never get bored of them. Such a great sound.
I second this ❤

By far some of the most creative artists in the world. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
With this band "Artists" fits perfectly for them, although not everything they release is perfect, which makes them even stronger imo.

Hope you’re feeling back to it!
I am a male adult, but I identify as "fan girl" whenever EE posts ANYTHING 🎉

Why's that?

Please do add this to the official playlist! I don't think people have any way of finding out this video exists, right now.
Amazing band and every EE track is so unique! The video casts the song in a whole new light! 👍
This song and ‘leviathan’ are my favourite, feel like they have similar styles to them.

i love this band but nobody believes me
I feel like jeniffer

Their name was actually based on a Radiohead song
Name is from the opening lyrics to Everything In It's Right Place by Radiohead
I don't think it's a trick
My least favorite track from the album, don't like the chorus much tbh
