I bought the XO Fours for my xbox one a while ago, because i wanted a good gaming headset, but didn't want to spend a ton of money. I've had it for about 3 or 4 months now, and i really like the headset for it's price. The headset has good sound quality, and i haven't had anyone have any trouble hearing me through chat. What i don't like is that you can't actually hear yourself talk, but i heard that is the same with all xbox one headsets because of the adapter. The phone sound is good for the headset, but there is barely any sound blockage, so even playing it at low volume, other people in the room can hear the music very easily. The mic is good, although, it is very stiff and i find myself having to move it back to where i want it, and i wish it came with a windscreen. Another thing i didn't like too much was the comfort. The headset is very tight and clamped on your head, which is nice knowing that it won't move, but after a while it starts to hurt a little. Also, the earcups are very hard and can cause your ears to sweat after gaming for long periods of time. The earcups are also fairly big, and when you put the headset on, the earcups do not mold into your head like memory foam, causing the headset to look very wide and weird looking. In the end i thought it was a good starting headset, but I am now actually looking to sell it in order to buy the XO Seven's, as i have found from reviews that it is actually just a better overall headset, and is worth the extra $60. I hope i helped you in any way if you are deciding between the two, as it was a very tough decision for me when i was looking into getting a gaming headset.

Vitor Balbino Piccoli Rocha Make sure all the cables are pushed in all the way. Try turning off your console and then unplugging it from the wall. Plug it back into the wall and turn it back on. See if that fixes the issue. It could also just be a problem with the headset you bought, and may need to exchange it for a new one.

Thanks so much for this review. I've been looking at finally getting a headset for my One, and I had narrowed it down to these two. You went over some good points, exactly what I was looking for. I was already leaning towards the Seven, and this made my decision easier.
I have the XO Four model, love them. I actually prefer the cloth ear cover, had them on for many long gaming sessions and movies, and almost feels like they aren't on, so being lighter isn't a negative for practical purposes, and when you are using them, it doesn't matter if it LOOKS expensive or cheap; you can't see them! works as normal headphones too, watched movies and the 2.1 surround is great, really immersive compared to tv speakers, and gaming is awesome! I too have played hours of Titanfall and it really is another realm entirely with these on your head. bullets flying past your ears, and you really know when you're in the titan, the noises of the mechanical parts and huge guns are epic! explosions are really bassy and still crisp. Also my model has the mic cover too, maybe they upgraded them since this was released? moral is XO four is awesome too.
Hey man. I am about to buy the xo4. But i was wondering if the xo4 mic has the mic boom. I am not really sure what to csll it. It the black foam on the tip. I just see videos with it and without it.

Not a bad set, but imo, I think going with the xbox version for $49.99 is probably a better deal. ANYWAY, I'm thinking of returning the xo4's and spending a few xtra bucks(OK more than a few) for the 500x stealth or something comparable. The reason is SURROUND SOUND. It really irks me that you have to go wireless in order to get surround sound functionality. I've been seeing a lot of people have issues with their mics on the 500x and other wireless sets... Is this due to chat having to come through the adapter? Would you know something like that? Is there a way around this? Are there better headsets for $230? I don't want to just use them for gaming, TV as well.
Well, I'm a hardcore gamer and heavy metal/deathcore listener so I prefer the XO Seven Headset because it's way better than my old headset I was using for the One, but it also has better sound quality with music than my Skullcandies. I also like the customizable speaker plates on the XO Sevens.

I do like the more oval look on the XO four. The XO seven look like and fit almost like the x12. For music I wouldn't use any of them. I would have actual headphones for music. So I like my XO fours.
I picked up the Four, immediately noticed how tight they were. stretched them out a bit, and they seem ok now. Decent sound quality for 79 bucks. I was considering the xo7 but they were sold out at the time.
I've had my xo four for a couple of weeks now, there is no reason to spend 30+ dollars for a headset to get a slightly different texture for stitching, I have never used the xo 7 but I am perfectly loving my xo 4

I was thinking of upgrading to one of those but want to keep cost down somewhat but want to know your opinion since I liked all compassion video's have done so far! i believe that if you plug it into your PC's audio jack (assuming they fit) it should work. Unless your computer has separate audio and recording jacks. ( in that case youll need a splitter) but i dont see why it wouldnt work

eggsamillion TeamBloxer I don't know if you already got a headset, but the stealth 420x+ is by far the best in my opinion. It is wireless and it has noise isolation. Also you can turn on super human hearing, but it is 140 where i live , but i still recommend the 420x+ Stealth.
I bought my xo 7's at target two days ago and as soon as I plugged the headset to the stereo adapter and then the usb through the xbox it didn't prompt me with any updates. Like no thing at all when I went to the update controller menu.
Yeah, I think the comfort factor alone is worth the extra. On the other hand, everyones financial situation is a bit different. If it were between the XO Four and no headset, I'd go XO Four.

I'm not that familiar with Canadian currency. Since the XO SEVEN seem to be nearly twice as expensive in Canada than the XO FOUR, I will say no, they are not twice as good, so they are not worth twice as much money.
I like the A50s better, but they are nearly double the price of the XO Sevens. The A50s sound better, are better built, and are more comfortable (to me). I am also starting to wonder when we will see a new version of the A50.

Yeah, The TitanFall Atlas, has an inline amp. I think it hooks up to the USB port on your console. You then run another wire from that amp to your controller (headset adapter) I am planning on picking these up this weekend, and will review early next week if all goes as planned.

I actually have a professional setup. X0Four Best comfort your ears do not sweat as much as with the 7 also the clamping of both is essentially the same notice how X0four has a neutral wider gap between speakers that the 7. Audio this device is amazing X0 four is specifically for gamers so the bass is superb. and i have more but I gotta go.
I'm not sure what headset I should get. My px21 just snapped by the pivot point an I gorilla glued them. Not sure how much life is in them and I know I'm going to have to get a new headset. I know for sure I will at least get 2 years+ I would go with xo4 but are they better than the px21 and if so what categories.
My XO Seven had a very annoying creaking noise in the left ear cup, on the front hinge. I sent it in to Turtle Beach and they sent back a brand new headset. This new headset ALSO has the creaking. They said they didn't hear the creaking, even though everyone all over the internet in complaining. My friends can hear the creaking, anytime I move my head in any way. I have to constantly mute myself... and Turtle Beach's customer support is treating me as if I'm a dumb ass. They are not admitting there is a problem. Not to mention, those fake leather ear cups make your head SWEATY. If you're not interested in music audio, get the XO Four's. I have not heard about problems with the XO Fours. I, right now, have to figure out if I want to ask them for my money back, fix the XO Sevens or sell them... OR go for "one last courtesy return" from them... and be without a headset, AGAIN, and hope the new one doesn't have the same problem.

I got the XO7 Premium a few months ago. They're a great temporary replacement for my Astro A50. I had the Pro model before and hated it. That superhuman hearing is just horrid. Bass boost is much better.

Ok!the problem is not always happening, just sometimes...since you bought the headset you never had any sound interference??
I cant speak through mine at all. I've updated the controllers correctly, put all the wires in the right places, still nothing.

I got my XO fours and it says I can't do the update. I completed all the steps on the instruction sheet but it still won't work.

xo four stealth are better improved mic, different adapter for bass boost and other featues. and voice monitoring! just ordered them off amazon used $70

Yeah, The TitanFall Atlas, has an inline amp. I think it hooks up to the USB port on your console. You then run another wire from that amp to your controller (headset adapter) I am planning on picking these up this weekend, and will review early next week if all goes as planned.
No the XO4 and titanfall atlas are pretty much the same.. I didnt like them tho.. I returned them.

I actually have a professional setup. X0Four Best comfort your ears do not sweat as much as with the 7 also the clamping of both is essentially the same notice how X0four has a neutral wider gap between speakers that the 7. Audio this device is amazing X0 four is specifically for gamers so the bass is superb. and i have more but I gotta go.
I'm not sure what headset I should get. My px21 just snapped by the pivot point an I gorilla glued them. Not sure how much life is in them and I know I'm going to have to get a new headset. I know for sure I will at least get 2 years+ I would go with xo4 but are they better than the px21 and if so what categories.
Ive had my old turtle beach taped there for a whole year
My XO Seven had a very annoying creaking noise in the left ear cup, on the front hinge. I sent it in to Turtle Beach and they sent back a brand new headset. This new headset ALSO has the creaking. They said they didn't hear the creaking, even though everyone all over the internet in complaining. My friends can hear the creaking, anytime I move my head in any way. I have to constantly mute myself... and Turtle Beach's customer support is treating me as if I'm a dumb ass. They are not admitting there is a problem. Not to mention, those fake leather ear cups make your head SWEATY. If you're not interested in music audio, get the XO Four's. I have not heard about problems with the XO Fours. I, right now, have to figure out if I want to ask them for my money back, fix the XO Sevens or sell them... OR go for "one last courtesy return" from them... and be without a headset, AGAIN, and hope the new one doesn't have the same problem.

These are not wireless headsets. They are powered by the device they are plugged into.

I got the XO7 Premium a few months ago. They're a great temporary replacement for my Astro A50. I had the Pro model before and hated it. That superhuman hearing is just horrid. Bass boost is much better.
