Finally some kind of meaning start to emerge about the reasons for long and short notes !!! Thanks a lot! And your videos are getting better and more fun to watch. Good job again! :D
13:00 but you said in your ad we shouldn’t use dry libraries isn’t ? I personally can’t see difference between composing a virtual mockup and mixing. But there is many stages of mixing, ideally you remix you first mix (that is most if he times your composition) many times. Many composers use a pre mixed template, like JXL, this means they use as template the mixing settings of revised and well done remixes and just care for details. Basically the answer to mix faster is 1) to know and develop well your templates, if you use to compose a similar kind of music. The other answer is 2) to mix the basics while composing, but aware of the fact that you should revise the mix later from a more absolute perspective as mixer, just remixing later what is needed from a new and cleaner standpoint . (The basics here means pan, reverb, eq, gain (velocity, compression) and cc ) The fundamental part in the first mixing stage, wich means to compose while sequencing midi, is to get velocity right at the very start, principally if the library is very rich in samples. You can’t compose midi without mixing velocity and relating velocity to the features offered by the samples first. When velocity is not enough then you go to expression. So basically there is a lot of stuff and nuance between talking about being “faster”.
Ok..at first I was really irritated about his ad every single time I watch a video , I saw a video of his and I'm already subscribed and following him.. great content manh🔥💯
Concise, informative and entertaining. Thanks Marc!

These are the best videos for composing online as of now.....keep it up.
Gracias Marc! Voy a aplicar todo lo del video para mejorar mi workflow!
I have such a hard time not mixing as I go. Maybe I'll try just having a separate template for mixing with the stems. Cheers! These are so good.

But WAIT... How do you toggle more easily between Stem Routing and full mix routing?
Wow!!
