No idea why it is misunderstood. You can have a lot of classes performing insanely well, while also needing to divide the classes that are not performing as well into different tiers. You can basically think of it as a list that shows you the best performing specializations and how the rest of the specs compares to them.
I want blizzard to nerf the casters, the damage is okey but WHY are they tanky raidbosses aswell :D I mean cmon, as a melee myself they should be afraid if we catch them!
Blizzard pretty much removed kiting from the game, so now ranged have to be tanky in order to survive being zugged, otherwise everybody would just play melee cause there wouldn't be any point in playing a ranged dps.

there is only 6 tiers overall tho and d tier is irrelevant anyways. so 2 out of 5 tiers would be 40%. so 50% dont seem that bad anymore
that's how every list looks right now. Most specs are strong, only a few aren't playable. You don't understand how game meta works ROFLROFL

If they do that they have to remove the 55 gap closers all the melee has, otherwise it’s gonna be a melee fest 24/7
Okay but if they do that then they need to make melee not fly around the map like they're in ferrari's
