Excellent video as always. It is very disappointing to see where they are trending. I had high hopes that we would see either alternating good and bad months or at least once per quarter.
Thank you for the Praise. Yesh, it's been a rough few months. The BA Transfer was alright, but then they whacked themselves with a crowbar by making it targeted. Made no sense. I don't know what they do to fix it...but...yeah...
The communication/announcements could be better but the main gripe is the impossibility to earn lots of BILT points since they nerfed rent day bonus points. With no welcome offer and now being capped at 1k points on rent day it seems like the magic is gone.
If Rent is $2k a month + 4 transactions, that’s 24k points a year minimum, add in dining on any card and points can build. But it is not an earn and burn ecosystem.
I agree about the impossibly of earning tons of BILT points but the way I view BILT is that it's a tertiary system that is utilized as an emergency backup when you're short on points from a certain transfer partner. Instead of needing to sign up for another Chase, Amex or Citi card, if I have a stash of 10,000 BILT points that gets me over the hump to make a travel redemption, then BILT has done it's job for me.
I’m glad to be getting some free points each month but with all the chase and now Barclays and citi cards I’m getting denied for because of too many cards I do kinda regret getting it. Having the CSR makes it almost never worth swiping my bilt card over anything else and I feel tired with the bilt day shenanigans
Rent Day might need an overhaul...I can understand all of this, a lot of why I haven't gotten the card is it's overall functionality in my Wallet. I'm far more likely to just get a 2x Bilt Card than anything.
BILT is a D to me. The status tier program has been a crap show outside of the communication issues. As Lani himself said, it's almost as if the most loyal members are the ones being punished and a surefire way to tank a program is to have your loyal customers mass exodus the program based on the changes that have been made.
What they need is an online gambling license, and on Rent Day the monthly guest will spin a roulette wheel, and card members won't be able to help themselves with FOMO.
@@MattClausen Only the spending for the build points you're prepared to gamble, and remember the house always wins! I'm joking about turning a credit card rewards program into a casino, but wouldn't that be lucrative for them!
As it stands now, I don’t see the card being worth picking up. I’d rather just pay the 3% fee and use the Alaska card. If they add mortgages then I’d probably reevaluate

I think this was a very good and fair review of where Bilt stands now in 2024. Great watch!
Thank you Spaethco!

Great job on TH-cam ♥️
Thank you Vicki!!
Bilt's trend is to steadily decline...... Thanks for the info + video!
Sadly it does feel that way. But I think they’ll be back shortly…

Unless they right their course, Bilt is going to be remembered as a fun experiment that faded away into mediocrity.
Stronger possibility today than at the beginning of the year.

This is completely fair. I wish I knew.
Bilt gets a D......they don't have too much longer before its fully over & wells can truly shine.......
I can see that argument. I just couldn’t knock the fact they continued to expand the program.
If they gave the same benefit to prop taxes now that would be lit!
That’d definitely bring some folks back

Any Spend Requirement with it?

Yeah…that’s totally fair

Terrible card grifter company probably going bankrupt
We’ll see. I doubt it though
