Aerosmith through Draw the Line was some seriously good rock that remains in my rotation to this day.
Sweet playing skills and list! Aerosmith deep cuts are the best Aerosmith. The 70s are my fave era of them but they really have a bunch of gems in every album. Songs like St. John, Voodoo Medicine Man, Flesh, The Farm, Street Jesus have great guitars despite the lack of the 70s groove and raspiness! The solo albums from Joe and Brad also have really great guitars! Cheers from brazil
Coney island whitefish, also known as East or Hudson River whitefish, refers to used rubbers released as raw sewage into the waters around NYC.
Came here to say this
Your videos are very refreshing with lots of great info. Love your playing and attention to detail with all the songs you cover. A man after my own heart. Always a great job. Thanks Kelly!
No more...no more! Love that groove
One of my favorite 70's bands, great playing as always Kelly. One of my early favorites is Seasons of Wither which may have been a partial influence for No More No More
My favorite Aerosmith song is Combination.....it kicks butt! Luv the Top 5 Deep Cut concept. Hope to see you do some more!
What a treat...
Thank u Kelly for some of my favs...
Combination is an Aerosmith masterpiece.
Nice list. My top five 70s Aerosmith deep cut RIFF list would be: Movin' Out, Round and Round, Get the Lead Out, Sick as a Dog, and yes Combination. As for night in the ruts I think the entire LP qualifies as deep cuts, so I would pick Cheese Cake for an honorable mention, awesome slide guitar by Master Joe Perry :) . . . The deep cuts on Get Your Wings and Draw the Line I can hardly even listen too, but the top cuts made those LPs awesome.
I would love to see you do the entire Rocks album…or at least Nobody’s Fault.
Coincidence? I'm working on Nobody's Fault at this very moment.
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar awesome!
They were playing four of the night in the ruts tunes on the 1979 live shows l
Bone to Bone and No More No More!!
Amazing work. I'd love covers and a lesson on both solos from Still In Love With You from Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy if that's something you're interested in.
One way street and write me a letter are their best songs. Their first album is one of my top 5 rock albums of all time.
1st album is RIFF HEAVEN.
I agree Kelly, I think No More No More is like the best of the best but I think the Rocks album has got to be in the top 5 of All hard rock albums!!
I'm so glad that mr. ALLEN loves Aerosmith too❤❤❤
These are great riffs. Better than any led zeppelin riffs 😊
Very cool, they were my favorite band as a teenager. I totally agree with you that they changed their sound through the '80s. I didn't like it at the time, but the smoother mainstream sound grew on me. Also, those MTV Videos were good. My ROCKS album was stolen. I was one pissed-off 16 yr old. Your subscribers are rising. Well deserved.
Great video and some righteous playing! We wore those early Aerosmith albums out.
That's the sweet spot right there
Hey Dwayne! Thanks man.
Thanks for the Aerosmith deep cuts. You played them great! Combination has always been one of my favorite songs. Very hard for me to figure out on guitar. Theres even a few more notes to the main riff that either Brad or Joe play but its soft you, might have wear headphones to hear. Anyway, thank you. A few more deep cuts from these guys that I love are Bright Light Fright, Milk Cow Blues and Chiquita! Oh, and a Cony Island Whitefish is a rubber (haha)
Glad you liked it Tom! Thanks very much for watching.
Good stuff, really interesting little backstory for each riff, too!
Thanks mate! That's my shtick, haha.
Nice revisit! I wore out all the 70’s Aerosmith albums… enjoyed by me and my neighbors! Newer stuff is completely unlistenable. Great video!
Thanks man! Good to hear from you.
YEAHHHH SHE ATE IT!!!!! LOL!!! Dynamite list, Kelly!!
Thanks Mark! Love me some early Aerosmith.
Thanks Kelly
Fun stuff…I’d have definitely put Movin Out on the list, and maybe even Somebody (also from debut album) which I saw that Joe still plays w/his band.
Joe played all the parts on night in the ruts on everything but the solo for 3 mile smile and Mia
Great video!
The lyrics make little to no sense but the guitar work on Three Mile Smile is one of my favorites Aerosmith ever did. Especially the intro to the song and the groove under the verses
Dig your pick man. Got to agree with you on the later version of the band, I really never cared for any of the so called ballads. They were so kick ass early in their careers.
No More No More. What more can I say?
Aerosmiths' first 4 albums are all classics, filthy, raunchy, blues driven hard rock and roll.
I would say their first 5 albums.
Hello Sir,
Let me first thank You for all your tutos and performance. Great work...!
I have one ask for You, if possible for You to do à tuto on Brother's in arms from montserrat live, wich is for me the Best version of this great song... I try to find it, but NOWAY...
Once Again, thanks for your work, and Hello from France.
Longtime subscriber here! PLEASE do a cover/tutorial of Y&T "my way or the highway"/ I am trying to figure it out by ear as there are no tabs or anything that I can find
Coney Island whitefish is a used c____m. Fill in the blanks LOL!
Whats the model of the light blue guitar behind you?
Ibanez RG780.
Love watching, what's with the bad language though ? Great player, great teacher.
👍You want deep cuts?:
Chiquita
Three Mile Smile
Nobody’s Fault
Pandora’s Box
I
Think he wrote it on piano and Joe worked it out
Sorry on no Surprize he didn’t play some of the leads
Love your videos but please?….don’t blaspheme.
I realize that to a lot of people G-Damm has become commonplace but it’s upsetting to Christians.
Love your guitar analysis and playing!
"No More, No More"...awesome stuff. If you need excuses to break out the slide tube take a look at Moxy's Earl Johnston on "Ridin' High" or Crespo's "Bolivian Ragamuffin". 😉
