I’ve got a Strymon El Capistan, a TC Nova ND1, a big Danelectro DTE (simulating tape) & a Marshall Echohead. Only this nails the 60/70’s tape echo sound. Editable too! Mine’s here mid week. Yay 😀
The tap tempo works two ways. Hold it down and you can use the guitar notes to set the tempo. It only needs two notes or pick to string sounds to set the tempo...OR mash the button to the beat you want.
www.nuxefx.com/show-49-27-1.html Update the firmware of Tape Core Deluxe and connect to the edit software, engage auto tap, you could get longer delay time. By the way, you could also customize delay heads combination by the edit software.(Engage Sync) www.nuxefx.com/uploadfile/2017/0728/interface.png
Reviewed again. Excellent playing. Zero product knowledge: “This setting is a bit more modern sounding” ? It’s a vintage early 80’s tape simulation. It’s not about whether it sounds like a modern digital echo on setting 3 or whatever! It’s vintage tape heads in a certain playback order. But excellent playing... No demo’s of the device apart from a cursory ‘here’s an early pink analog sounding device’. Again sorry to be harsh.
If your gonna do a review learn about the product you’re reviewing!! It’s a Tape Core not a ‘Cape Core’ The manual is small and explains most things quickly so no excuse not to read it. Settings 1-3 are the 3 tape heads on a tape machine, 1 being a short delay, 3 being furthest away so a longer delay and then settings 4-6 are combinations of heads i.e. 1 & 2, 1 & 3, 2 & 3, setting 7 is all 3 play heads together 1, 2 & 3, sorry but is that really hard to understand and explain properly if you’re doing a review and especially for Premier Guitar! Not bothered about how well you can play guitar just explain the product properly. As you can probably tell a poor review of a decent product for the money it costs.
Hey do you know anymore about the sound on sound setting...just got one of these and not sure what its supposed to do. I can use it as a looper just fine but was thinking i could have some of the pedals features(delays) to use while i loop. It seems its just a bare bones looper.
@@mvh757 unfortunately I have only been able to use the sound on sound feature as a looper also, and not be able to use any of the delays in the looper function which is the only down side to the pedal that you can only record the dry loop unless you have other pedals in your set up and record them directly into it. A shame really as the tape core delays are great. Good luck.
@@thedeadxtras9927 thanks for the quick response. I agree its unfortunate that the delays cant be looped somehow within the pedal itself. The delays themselves are quite useful though.
This proves demonstrators with zero product knowledge shouldn’t demonstrate.. Not one reference to the Roland TAPE Space Echo? But a reference to an early pink Ibanez bucket brigade analogue echo.. And at the start “nearly lost it as analog echoes can do” Followed by ignorance of the diagram in all Tape Core online literature showing which of three tape heads are simulated on each setting - same as Roland RE-20 Space Echo. Maybe a last minute ‘can you fill in for the real demo guy’ ? And one style only of reverb echo and a completely un Rockabilly sound? Sorry to point these things out. Poor Nux Tape Core promo but an ok analog echo jam.
Mike Seager Do your own video. I found this one very helpful. I don’t play rockabilly so no big deal. The styles were fine and gave a good taste of the pedal. A simple “Thank you” would suffice.
Go on their site and it is all a mock up of popular music products we all know.Copies of TC Elec,Boss even the site is strangely modeled after Bossus.Forget China for quality:like many,I was deceived with a bad footswitch and reliabilty etc etc..MY opinion.Never again even if it is cool product like this tape sim.Thx for your time and nice playing with the product.

Been out 2 weeks, and this just comes up in my feed now???
Nux does some good stuff for not a lot of money!

Aren't settings 1-3 simulating the three tape heads for successively longer delay times, and then 4-7 just various combinations of those three heads?

That's the first PRS I've ever seen with wear
Because that's one of the few ones which is not owned by a dentist or lawyer.
I was trying to pinpoint why I am not attracted to them and you've done it. Gimme "pre loved" instruments any day.
The intro sold me
Oh wow great playing good sound i like that demo, ill get the pedal it costs literally nothing.
Nice Jon! Thank you.
Now i want a PRS, what the heck...
never had GAS for a PRS,at all... till i saw this one with wear. also first one i've seen with wear. but minus any stickers of coarse...
Looks like a fun pedal. I own a Nu-X Time Force and am a bit of a fan.
BASS player here, NUX Time Force, does it have hum, hiss or any background noises???
Thanks, might get the Tape Core.......
Does it have stereo ping pong delay ?
James Tiberus Kirk "kahn!!! er , Bollinger!!!!!!"
pretty sure it comes with directions
That was very super sonic. Gimme gin and tonic. You can have it all but how much do you want it?
I want it as much as I want lyrics that make sense, Noel.
Less talk more Rock!

ALL effect pedals are copies of old effect pedals, with a few tweaks.
