Hey everyone - we did film this a few days after the official LA stay-at-home order, but businesses are still open for takeout. While we couldn't shake our desire to want to support local businesses, we were VERY cautious about being more than 6 ft away from other people. What we didn't show on camera was us using gloves and heavy hand sanitizer. Sorry for the confusion but thanks for watching and stay safe!

Before quarantine I got the chance to come here shortly, but didn’t get a chance to really explore! Can’t wait to go back. I had the less expensive Onigiri and it was delicious!
Yeah, there’s no way this was filmed before the order. Little Tokyo and Yamazaki are literally never that empty, and notice how they could really only go inside the grocery store, Nijiya. Fung Bros should have just taken the route JKNews took, being transparent with their audience about filming, instead of thinking we’re idiots.
I mean he certainly knew his anime foods but it was clear to me that he hadn't visited Japan before especially with that egg sandwich. I have never in my life seen a Japanese egg sandwich with lettuce and tomato in it.
100% think you guys need to make a stop at Donatsu in Little Tokyo. Finally went to this place after I had moved away from LA (on a recent trip back) and regretted SO MUCH that I had not gone while I was still living there. ALL vegan donuts but made SO WELL you wouldn't even be able to tell that it's vegan. Donuts are so light and airy in texture. It's totally different than American donuts (i.e. blue star, donut friend) but taste JUST as good!

For me growing up onigiri was a snack my parents and gramma made me. And the ones at the market are good enough for me. IMO onigiri is not something you sell expensive. Its a cheap quick snack so the price point is a turn off. The level of flavor for such a simple food is capped no matter how you dress it up. Also, yall try the kombu onigiri? It is 🔥

I don’t know why anyone has a problem with whether they stay home or not. They were wearing gloves and masks inside the store and came out to film. They pretty much just ate lunch and filmed it. I am sure people in the comments went out to get takeout at some point during the last few weeks. Same thing but only they filmed it.

Those strawberries are genetically engineered to be white. The producer of those strawberries took years before he was able to produce his first batch. It's not just expensive because it is genetically engineered but also because he refuses to mass produce them to ensure the quality. Most expensive, most tasty.
