form Taiwan here am i own lot of VFC The small screw on the hammer will not allow the magazine to squeeze out more air. Another great vid! Thank you, I do have a couple of quick questions/comments, The rear QD sling socket on the Sig Air Virtus infamously wouldn’t take a QD plug, you did talk about the socket, does it take a plug? I was shocked at the inner barrel length, I’ve not experienced a gbbr with an inner barrel not matched to the outer barrel by such a big margin. I would have thought a long inner can only improve the accuracy on what seems to be a very accurate gun. I can’t believe you didn’t talk more about the ambi bolt release!!! I’ve got a VFC SR16 gbbr and this feature is awesome!!! It really makes reloads even slicker and more fun! How is it on this rifle? I am soooo tempted by the 11.5” Spear LT being released this month, it’s a great looking little rifle and good to know it’s a solid performer, cheers mate
Hi there, the QD sockets are steel, so they are more robust now, as for the inner barrel it was shorter to keep the pfs down for use here in the UK as the spear from apfg does not come with an npas, you can fit the rattler nozzle wich does have one.
Get steel outer barrel for this, VFC rifles with zinc alloy barrels likes to crack like in my xm177e2. But all of this V3 rifles are great platform to customize, lot of parts, great mags and yes you can use in winter.
I own a 16" Spear LT with a surefire warcomp and Surefire SOCOM mini suppressor and it has no recoil at all. This weapon is amazing and i hope the airsoft counterpart doesnt disappoint and goes the 1000 yards
I sold my DE N4 for this and i must say it's worth it. Will also help me since i also plan on getting the FNC soon and both uses VFC mags so it was the wise decision
Hi there, definitely not the ghk g5 as they crack the polymer receiver very easily. The vfc is great, but if you're looking for a vfc, then go for a gen3. The new VFC BCM 8.5" SBR is amazing.
@@FreekVonk-u8k Hi there, that's awesome for the older rattler and Legacy APFG releases. With the Spear they seem to have fixed that issue due to more material being left in there and the hard rubber buffer.
Hi Andy, now you’ve had this a while any issues cropped up? Not had a vfc gbbr before hovering over the purchase button on one of these. Like you I’m not willing to pay the price to get a toxicant one up and running
Hi there, the spear has been fine. It currently has the bpw surg Kit Lower and Bolt Carrier in it, and the spear lower is on the surg right now. APFG is a good company, and there are plenty of replacement parts.
No worries, the full rattler LT review should be out on Tuesday, and it is a good one. My reload is bad in it, but the review overall is good, lol. The surg kit full review should be out in a few weeks.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk yeh just watched the kit video you already have on the channel. You’re draining my wallet quicker than the wife and kids. That suppressor/can setup looks nice, muzzle flash tracer unit during night/dark environments I bet it looks nice
@@MiddleAgeGameruk thanks mate, just being in the UK it’s definitely something to be conscious about wanting to stick to gas all year round. Great video regardless though, thanks!
Hi there, from personal experience owning vfc and many mws replicas, both are good in the cold to a certain degree. Here in the UK, when temperatures are around 6c to 14c, I've been getting 2x full mws mags and about 3x full vfc mags with the vfc 416a5 and tm urgi respectively. The benefits of the vfc are that the parts can handle slightly higher pressure gases in colder weather without upgrades. Tokyo marui replicas are awesome up to green gas with stock internals, but if you go higher, then aftermarket upgrades are needed. The noveske N4 mws gbbr from Double Eagle comes with a steel fire control unit, so it is ready to go there. The main issue with gbbrs is going to be full auto, but as 99% of indoor and outdoor sites have a strict semi only policy, it should not be an issue.
I have a question and thought maybe ud be able to help, I'm looking at getting the APFG Spear LT 11.5 GBBR, and I wanted to get a SUR300 kit for it , but there were no 11!5 sizes there was 10 in.&, 12 in. Would either of these work with that to the best of your knowledge, and love the videos, watch your videos all the time esp when in thinking of getting a new GBBR, I always check out your reviews big help!
Hi there, the spear LT is a new platform. The Airsoft SUR300 kits out there are for the older virtus mcx and not the new gen3 Spear line as far as I can tell. I do know that APFG made their Spear LT platform 1:1, so any real steel Spear LT handguards will work while we wait for guarder, laylax, or other companies to catch up.
Great video as always now im undersided between the N4 you reviewed or this 🤔 any advice on which would be better option would be great pretty please 😉
@@MiddleAgeGameruk o for the love of God on so I'm looking to get into gbbr liked your review of the N4 and compatibility with tm parts then just seen this and hmmm I like the look of this I'm mostly an outdoor player so looking for predominantly that style so any advice on either of those would be great. I understand. The N4 is a great starter gbbr, but it does need a few upgrades for outdoor use. If you're after an MWS system gbbr then I really mean it when I say you will like my next video. It's hitting outdoor velocity and is a Tac driver out to 55m, No issues. If it's the vfc system, your after, then the spear is great, only needing an inner barrel chainge and bucking more suitable for heavyweight bbs.

For MWS I personally would stay with any original TM Ah and thanks Andy for that Review! I love your Channel and your displayed contet! Greetings from germany
Does this system run any cleaner then the Apfg rattler? My bolt was always scratching the inside of the reciever and it makes this nasty metal shaving paste inside my gun and it just wasn’t a very smooth running system. Yours looks like a way better smoother running platform
Hi there, you can see the macanical polishing marks on the bolt carrier, but other than that, it's been a big improvement over previous entries in the mcx lineup. I definitely recommend super lube for the main lubricant and to be used sparingly.
Hi there, yes, it is still available, and apfg is vfc. They are the same company. The only issue I've seen/heard was to do with the original rattler Receiver. The original had a metal buffer, and if you used anything above standard green gas, the lower would crack. The newer releases, such as the spear LT, come with reinforced lowers and hard rubber buffers.
Hi there, yes, as apfg is basically vfc, it uses their v3 system and will work with their v2 and v3 mags except the HK 416 mags as they are different size so get jammed in the magwell.
The artisan handguard is made to fit the mcx legacy to make it look like a spear. With the spear, they changed the mounting point, and so it won't fit the new design.

On the real guns the spear lower would need an Mcx trigger
