One of the best mods I've played in a long time. Not only because of the cut content put in, but the map is fun to explore. Would've liked to see a couple of levels like this in CE. One similar to this one and a night mission with the same setting but now with covenant, sentinels and flood. Something Similar to two betrayals in terms of atmosphere and the battles.
It's so surreal to see an official company be so enthusiastic in revealing and *RELEASING* cut content for modders to play around with. Usually it all just stays under wraps, never to be seen or used unless it gets leaked.
Microsoft deserves a big heap of gratitude for finally giving us Halo fans the history that was withheld from us. They’ve got long list of game franchises, we should be asking Microsoft to share their prototype secrets.
this is awesome! honestly, what fascinates me is how close this resembles halo infinite's campaign. the open world concept where you can go and take care of the objectives in whatever order you want. i wonder if this is how bungie originally intended it, or if the modders who made this were inspired by infinite. maybe a little bit of both? either way super awesome!
Apparently iirc, the original idea for Halo's campaign was meant to be something like this where it was this open world experience, but the idea was just way too ahead of its time as the hardware just wasn't there yet
A bit of both. Original design direction for macworld halo would have been similar to Ghost Recon or Operation Flashpoint but in a sci fi setting. Multiplayer was meant to compete with Tribes
This made me so nastalgic emotional. I remember seeing the 1999 trailer and just wished I could play in that place. 20 or so years later, and I finally get to play it! Seeing the dead and dying marines plus the sad tone of the music pulled my heart stings. And the ending when we get the flag waving homage, mmmph. Such a long itch finally scratched.
Halo is the only series where open world content like this isn't boring. It's always fun because it's Halo. The enemy design, the gunplay, and the vehicles carry things along effortlessly. Even Halo Infinite's campaign is an example of this working.
It's likely possible, but we may not know fully on our end. The modders who brought these cut content are partnered with 343. So down the line, 343 can make ot "possible" for console users but I don't think it'll be that simple
Assault on the Control room still holds the title for dumbest AI deaths, marines diving in front of and UNDERNEATH the track pod of the Scorpion as it's moving forwards.
DUUUUUDE the dig site content is so cool to see! I don’t have a PC to play MCC on so I can’t experience it myself, so thank you for showing it off for us! Fingers crossed it comes to console some day…
Interesting thing to note: this level is actually likely one of the earliest renditions of the Silent Cartographer. It's all one giant island that you can fully explore featuring a crashed pelican with the goal of the level being to collect data from the Forerunner structure. That Forerunner structure in question is the map room. See in early versions of Halo the control room and the map room's designs were switched and the only reason we ended up with the designs we did is because Bungie probably thought the map rooms design in this version was more fitting for control room. We know this is true because in the concept art for the opening cutscene of Two Betrayals that created around early 2000 (AKA after the E3 demonstration showing this level) and in those sketches the design of the control room is almost identical to the final game's map room.
In the Waypoint posts the Digsite Crew said the Silent Cartographer was a test map that barely changed while the game was in the oven, IIRC this map is an older version of the E3 99 map where the MC and marines are trying to find out “what the blue bastards are after.” I wouldn’t assign a mission objective from the final to a proto map without evidence.
This is more greater gameplay experience than Halo infinite. Damn can't wait to play it on XSX. The old graphics especially the sky is so damn nice, better than shitty infinite. Halo MCC is on a high !

True I didn’t even think about that. There are definitely some resemblances!

@@StuffyJunk Yeah, the makers of this mod even say it pushes the engine to its limits.
@@xScruffyDaSasquatchx I really got Tribes vibes from the map too with all the slopey mountains to ski on.

YOU SPEAK TRULY MY COMRADE.
A moment for all the Spartans MIA that never got to experience this dream come true
I wish this was on Xbox but it makes sense it's on pc
Needs to be more missions like this

They better add the lost content from the Halo 2000 trailer.
It's there!

And my windows 11 laptop can't run mcc and other games like it due to so many gigabytes in it it's messing my disk space storage up

Siempre te veo en mi televisión o celular, me encantan los mods qué traes con regularidad, por ti descubri el mundo de Halo asi. 👌🏻

I played this the other night it was so fun definitely gonna play it again
reminds me of the jamming tower sabotage level from Far Cry 1
The Voices sound just like the CE marines! I love it
Because it's made in CE?
@@memeboi3448 These voice lines were recorded for the mod, never heard them before at least.
@@delta-a17 they said they couldn’t include unused voice acting because of legal reasons so they must be new
@@protocetid Ah interesting.
Maybe AI voice work was done to match it? That's a tool at modders disposal these days.
Now we need the e3 mission
Im so upset no one has mentioned the other spartans (team victor)
What is the music at 0:23 ?
Is this on Mcc console?
PC only for now. Make your voice heard so 343 will add it to console!
Add to console! add to console!
I cant find the tank, if you know where i could find it then tell me please🙏
Why was not made to be 3rd person?
bro una pregunta que te quiero hacerte
como hago para poder jugar a esta mision nueva hay que hacer algo
Es solo en PC. Hay un enclace in la descripcion
If only it where on console😢
You should try to add foliage to the map so that it doesn't look so empty
Не иронично но в теории именно такой должна была быть игра выйдя она без переноса изначальной даты своего релиза.
That level is more halo than ALL 343’s work omg

Halo MCC is on a high !
How did you get it to work, it didn’t load fornme
Seems some people are having issues loading it while others aren’t. Idk what the issue is
Hello, I would like to ask if you can make a video of halo mcc all armor and weapons and customization , please
I think I've covered it in a previous video with the last season update. I don't think there has been anything new since.
@@xXBarthXx ok, I'll look
@@xXBarthXx Well, I didn't find anything, only the videos of each update but not one of what I told you
This mod almost makes up for the new Marathon game being a piece of trash. Almost.
Esta misión es como volver al pasado
This looks a million times better than Halo Infinite
Llora
should be in 3rd person
there are various revisions of weapons that you can spawn, these are more historically accurate and swap the view to third person
Bring it to Xbox
