Yeah, I think for proper cricket fans we all believe this is way more satisfactory and rewarding as a viewer, but some of the casuals may be less interested.
@@ahbabaziz true, I've loved them through and through since you don't know what a par score is and one over with less runs and without even a wicket can change the game. But my concern is, ICC is saying they want to promote the game, which they clearly don't want to since we don't see these games or at least the USA games airing for free inside USA. And on top of that, we don't see ticket access well managed in terms of both price and availability. and if they wanted to grow the game inside US actually we won't be seeing these extremely low scoring matches either. But it's alright considering we as core fans enjoy and also we know that ICC doesn't actually want to grow cricket in USA.

I do think that cricket breaking into new territories is a good idea, but it needs to happen gradually. We already have a test championship where the top teams are playing. Have a 2nd tier one. To borrow a football term, have a champions league and a conference league. That way we won't see England post 700 against USA and win inside 3 days. Or Canada coming to India and getting bowled out for 30 odd. That would probably not be good for inspiring the new viewers from these countries.
And usa, uae, canada, oman, the netherlands, singapore, hong kong, kuwait, qatar, bahrain, saudi will never have test status with those immigrant players. They need real arabs, canadians, chinese, and americans.
