I was on my best behaviour cos of those kids over there!!! Fantastic I also remember watching this on TV years ago. Mr Edmund's you are a star and always will be.
Eddie you will be missed. My happiest childhood tv show and the memories of rolling around in fits of laughter. Such a bloody shame, love to his family x
Fantastic Eddie.....but extremely sad at the same time....just having watched this I have seen the comments below.....I didn't know he had died.....very very sad news....rip Eddie x
Would need to be hosted by someone fresh and new. Noels profile took a hiding (and I daresay his ego took a severe pounding) when he went into the jungle only to be voted straight back out the very next eviction. Oops! Embarrassing 😳
i met sid little in fleetwood at farmer pars when we was in the camping and caravan club and he did a turn for the caravans and the staff at the farm and he was amazing to watch and he gave me one of his books to for free amazing guy
Maximum respect for Eddie large. What a great sport. And sid of course, expert in origami. Is it me or were these happier times ont telly !? If Noel does come back onto the beeb -hope they revive the Gotchas. leave blobby in the cupboard tho' Was'nt the young Rebecca Front dead sexy... still is.
On my best behaviour because of those kids never a kindest word to what he was he never dispected himself language etc. Give respect gain respect trev.
I think he had heart problems and called it a day. Yeah, Eddie and Sid were always a good way to start Saturday night TV when TV was worth bothering to watch
A radio station did the same to Eddie weeks later not thinking it would happen again. Eddie got the 9 pound for a free ticket line from Frank Carson after a shy young Eddie kept getting pestered for freebies during summer season & hated saying no.
He was very conscious of little kids n setting an example - the look on his face when fake birthday was epic - think thats a better social experiment than the facebook shite we get now
Notice how he remained calm and polite throughout , no matter how annoying the guy got. A true gent and a sad loss
total respect for both of them total legends little and large funny funny working class men .
8:05 - I think he shouts 'You Tw*t!!' at Edmonds. I'm surprised that didn't get bleeped out. 😄
It is soo obvious he has been forewarned
@@thesunreporti think the laughing out meant you could hear twit (I cleaned the word).
RIP. This is my favourite memory of Eddie Large.
David L Rattigan same mate, he came across as a nice guy
RIP Eddie Large. Came back to this classic Gotcha moment, in hearing of your passing.
RIP Eddie. Just being himself was his finest hour!
Wow Eddie was not only a true gent he was a naturally very funny man too. Great stuff RIP Eddie
Probably one of the best gotchas. Great days and all we have now is those idiots on Saturday Night take it away trying to copy Noel's House Party.
What star. God Bless him. Not swearing cos of the kids, who were also actors. Brilliant gotcha.

That shows Eddie Large in a very good light.
"It's not me you have to worry about, it's Sid. He knows Kung Fu, Karate, Jujitsu... he knows lots of foreign words". lol

RIP Eddie Large, posted this on my facebook, its how i want to remember him, So Funny
Great control, funny man. Thank you Eddie.
The actor who played annoying Bob was brilliant in this
I'm sure played the bloke who told Jez and mark it was time to 'fck off' in the first episode of Peep Show.
Fantastic Eddie.....but extremely sad at the same time....just having watched this I have seen the comments below.....I didn't know he had died.....very very sad news....rip Eddie x
RIP Eddie, true Gent!
Remember see this when it was on and thinking wow how did he keep his temper
Too true many would have decked him . Bob played a good part we all hated him .
What a gentleman . He looked for the funny line no matter the circumstance.
I miss those Gotcha bring them back
Would need to be hosted by someone fresh and new. Noels profile took a hiding (and I daresay his ego took a severe pounding) when he went into the jungle only to be voted straight back out the very next eviction. Oops! Embarrassing 😳

Proper Saturday night entertainment not its alll game shows and x factor.
Brilliant. Unlike the dribble of today
Brilliant RIP Eddie Large
We need more shows like these. Come on mr Edmonds
The one thing we do not need more of is Noel Edmonds, the man is deranged, a complete nutjob.
Great snippets of ad-libbing from Eddie there, pure Groucho Marx class..:)
8:10 Syd Little, did you know about this?! Lady looks and sounds like Rebecca Front
Absolute legends such great comedy legends so missed Eddie large sending love to his family. We love you still super sid.

I loved Edwin Large he was a lovely guy!
The Waiter is Barry Killerby AKA Mr Blobby
RIP Eddie Large
That was so funny..Can’t believe they buried Eddie yesterday..😩..RIP 🌹
The wonderful Rebecca front too.
That was class. Thanks for posting this. : 0 )
From A Gorbals guy to an Oatlands guy R.I.P. Mate..
I see a young Rebecca Front there
Ah! I wondered if she was. Lovely lady.
Behaved excellent
legends
Well done Eddie so many celebs would have reacted negatively to this sort of attention
These gotchas could be quite telling, he comes across as a decent fella
Yes, they were a window into a stars true personality.
Wasn't often Syd got one over on Eddie lol, that was probably the best.Little and Large...happy times.rest in peace Eddie.
I can't believe this just yesterday I said bring back sid and Eddie and now Eddie dies rip funny man
Is the woman journalist Nicola "I am bent" Murray from The Thick Of It?
What a good spirit. x x
RIP Eddie
This was the best one
The answer to your question gremlins3 is Rebecca Front. Among other things she plays Inspector Jean Innocent in Lewis on ITV1.
RIP Eddie :(
Never realy liked "Little and Large".But my respect for the man just went eay up!,Good man.
Class act from the north
The waiter was the gent who dressed as mr blobby
On my best behaviour because of those kids never a kindest word to what he was he never dispected himself language etc. Give respect gain respect trev.
best ever
Rebecca Front has always been a good looking woman.
She's tidy.. 👍
Works well with Steve Googan.
Stephen Dines Coogan
Presumably this was before she was on comedy shows as they'll have needed a TV unknown for the part.
Shes stunning
Perfect gent, R.I.P.
Class
"EDMONDS YOU TW@T!"
He said swine not twat
Sid just saying nowt lol.
Syd was in on it.
Is this the final ever Gotcha prank? The last one from the 1998-99 season?
Rip big lad. Great laughs....
Nice man Eddie. Should be on TV more instead of the usual Saturday night shite.
I think he had heart problems and called it a day. Yeah, Eddie and Sid were always a good way to start Saturday night TV when TV was worth bothering to watch
Yes, Eddie is 78 and he retired a few years ago..
Is that Rebecca Front?
It's Rebecca Front!
Iain Lee just released a podcast with a wonderful Q&A with Eddie, 2 guys cut from the same cloth
Is that Rebecca Front?
Brilliant entertainment!
Unlike the dribble of today.
you should check out the recent david beckham statue prank, very 'gotcha'-esque.
@@omp365 i will do. Thanks
Is that her off Big Train he's having dinner with?
A free ticket with every nine pound you hand over ... lol!
top bloke
Youve gotta love eddy brilliant.
Speak for yourself. The little perm headed pot bellied pig mugged us all in the 80's
Wow...Rebecca Front.
Good bloke
What a gentleman

Blimey, you're right. Bet she keeps this one off her CV!!
She was a regular on the gotchas. She was the pregnant woman that Jonathon Morris has to defend from the police on his gotcha.
Rebecca Front playing the journalist o think. Brilliant actress
The actor bothering him was in the first episode of Peep Show
"Ok I think you boys should just f**k off now"
I have just watched about 10 gothcas on youtube, every one of them has the actual gotcha statue blurred out, why?
The design was too similar to the Hollywood Oscar statuette. It was later redesigned.
Medal has to go to the person who suggested placing kids at the table. You can see the frustration in Eddie when he realised what had just happened.
He was very conscious of little kids n setting an example - the look on his face when fake birthday was epic - think thats a better social experiment than the facebook shite we get now
I phoned Dom Joly at a restaurant he was eating at once, oddly enough,he wasn't amused...
