Coming up on 25 years since the release of Play, the album that helped move electronic music into the mainstream! What's your favorite song from this electronica masterpiece? Comment below! 👇
I listened to it for the first time in awhile about 2 weeks ago. Inside is way up there. Hard to count an absolute favorite, as I grew up on the album (my dad owned it before it starting gaining traction through the licensing deals), but Inside has always spoken to me. My Weakness is right there with it. Definitely the most influential album of all time for my taste in music. I was 9 when it released.
@@Warbringer95 Inside, really deep tune. Nice, I think it's quite amazing how Play still can hold up after listening to it so many times. Love My Weakness as well, though it tends to drain me emotionally.
Last week, I managed to snag a vinyl copy of Play and I was so happy to have it be a part of my collection! Besides Play, I also own a vinyl copy of his 3rd album, Everything is Wrong!! But deciding on a favorite track off Play is super hard! It’s either got to be Natural Blues or Bodyrock for me!
Nice! Good quality pressing? Your next mission should be "18", then you'd have an impressive trilogy of Moby records in your arsenal :) Thanks for watching!
I associate this album with living in Maryland and family vacations in New Mexico and Arizona in my teen years. It was an album there in my darkest days of pre-teen and teen years during the Bush JR years. Used to write in my diary while the album played on stereo. 2000 is when I bought the album I believe, still plays like yesterday when I got it mint off the press from I believe Tower Records or Borders. That ending you summed up Play was spot on. Never give up! I look forward to sunrises and sunsets with the courage to press on. Favorites? Hmm... Run On, Machete, Bodyrock, Porcelain, Southside, and If Everything Was Perfect
I listened to it to death in my teens as well, Play resonates very much with youth I think. Haha, so many bangers to choose from! Run On is such a tune.

Natural blues❤
Down slow. There were nights where I had that track played on repeat.
@@DerekPower Great pick! Down Slow sure is an underrated gem on Play.
