Good to hear Caleb's catchphrase again: "Wait, can i win here?"
And my head answer always the same: "wait, he said win? naah, prob caleb going crazy again"
When I'm playing storm, this has become my favorite intrusive thought.
It's fun to watch you navigate a difficult draft, but it's also nice to sometimes just have an absurd storm deck handed to you like this.

Watched for a long time and never commented but I have to say. I absolutely love your card assessment and explanations. I've been playing since 99 and suggest your videos to all those that I've introduced to the game. Also almost always play storm. Favorite archetype by far through all the years. Keep it up. 35:21 I like how, even if they take time walk here and make it cost 2 more mana, it would still be the best extra turn spell ever printed. Early magic design was nuts

I think Brainfreeze is more the problem than Breach. Breach is actually quite fun. Brainfreeze self-milling is degenerate and opponent-milling is unfun (especially with the "Eldrazi or no?" sub-game that happens). Stuff like Tendrils, Thousand-year Storm, Aetherflux Reservoir, and even Empty are much more interesting storm win cons, in my opinion.
yeah brain freeze is also just absurdly good, but the issue with breach is it still goes infinite with a bunch of other stuff too like wheel of fortune LED, frantic search, even faithless looting can go pretty deep with it. If I were trying to balance the cube I would just cut them both probably, but at least one of the two should be cut.
Cutting brain freeze kills high tide, which is a fun archetype. Breach is just breach
What's up with the ~3 minutes of black at 45:31? Amazing deck, one of the strongest storm ones i've seen from Caleb. Excited for Algomancy! Should be fun!
You drew very well, had excellent opening hands and had literally every piece of the deck. Its hard for breach to not feel over powered when the stars aligned.

Holy moly, your deck just literally didn't need any kind of interaction, against 3 aggressive-ish decks just over the top, you love to see it,
2 different storm decks in one, so much consistency without cantrips or counter magic
All the opening hands were so good!

I think the Dream Halls could have been maindeckable here. It would've been more straightforward with like, an Atraxa or one more draw seven, but it can clear the way for other lines by being a card they absolutely have to counter.

More broken in cube than Displacer Kitten? People sleep on how broken kitty kat is. Breach is obviously insane... Breach and Brain Freeze are the thinking man's (person's) Kiki Splinter Twin. I really do think Kitten might be more broken than Breach but they are both so broken that it's kind of pointless to argue about. Which one card do anything engine is more broken??
