I love this, it is the best I have seen! I am going to purchase that mat. I have the joy but always wanted to do more than one card at a time, Thank you so much!
This is the best beginning card making video I've seen and I've watched LOTS. I love your methodical delivery pace and clear instructions. And thank you for avoiding all the chattiness so many diy videos indulge in!
MC Carole, you had me pulling up to my PC with my bowl of cheerios and comfy pj's like I was crafting with a close friend. Your voice is so soothing. I like the step-by-step, how to get it done. Thank you MC Carole💕
Thank you Carole! What a big help this was! I've been overwhelmed and intimidated on trying cards but your video is very helpful and I'm ready to give it a try!
Thanks for your videos. Your explanation just works for me....Makes sense, now I want to go see what other videos you have to make some different style of cards.....
Great tip on doing the inside of the card first. I haven’t done any yet and this looks like it would be much easier to feed the card through before cutting the outside.
Thank you Carole for this amazing video. Making and being able to save a template is game changer. I've made templates in the past but had to remember to hide them before the "make it" process. I also love that we can place the writing where we want and it really writes in that place. I'm looking forward to the arrival of my 2x2 card mats so I can get busy creating cards again. 🎉
I found it so easy to follow and understand your method of demonstration! Thank you! Definitely subscribing. I’m so new at all this and I really enjoyed your video! Cheerfully, Deborah
I always wanted to make my own cards. I used to work at a carlton cards and loved it. Always wanted to make unique cards to tailor to family and friends. This new mat is exciting and I can't wait to get mine in the mail to be able to make some. Your explanations are simple to follow and makes it easier to create beautiful finish pieces. ✨️
Carole, if you use a pre-designed card from Cricut Access, so you need to hide the template? Also, if you're using a pre-designed card, can you customize it by adding drawing on the card front?
My Cricut always seems to be off-center for some reason. I've tried calibrating it and making sure all of my software is up-to-date. The only way I can be sure to get a centered cut is to use my iPhone to snap a picture of my mat and arrange my work on the mat from there. It's so frustrating that I can't trust the preview without taking the extra steps. I don't use my machine often because of this. Do you, or anyone here, have any troubleshooting steps? Thanks for this excellent tutorial, by the way! I just ordered the supplies I'll need to make up a bunch of "Thank you" cards!
Thank you for your tutorial. By chance do you know what weight and if there is a certain Cardstock to use for the cards? I have 1 box of the s40 and used 100# Cardstock but I don’t feel it cut out like the Cricut brand.
I have ordered this mat for my Explore machine., so I appreciate the lesson. However I thought you had to put the same thing on each card!? Or is that just for cutting?
You can only cut the same 'ready to make' cards 4 the same on a mat, if you are designing your own you can mix them up. I have a video about it. Check my channel for more.

Great video. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the tutorial
Only 1 question. can you do all 4 cards different?

How do you know which ones are s40 when you were scrolling.. sounds like a stupid question but I've just started trying the insert cards 😢
Hi can I use a 5.5 x 4.3 card in the cutaway cards?
Thank you for your tutorial. By chance do you know what weight and if there is a certain Cardstock to use for the cards? I have 1 box of the s40 and used 100# Cardstock but I don’t feel it cut out like the Cricut brand.
When you chose the card design why didn’t it ask you for money to purchase it first? My cricut always does!??
How did that cut on all 4 cards when you only had one showing in Design Space?
Have you had a problem with the card mat half cutting a card with a-red light coming on

@@CarolesCricutCrafts thank you!
Would you use the same procedure for the Cricut Joy?
Yes
can we do slimline cards?
I don’t think so the card mat would not recognize the sizes
