I thought I was the only one that loved the "I used to sit and watch them bills pile up, Now I sit and watch them bills pile up". It got stuck in my head, along with the other similar line "I used to wonder where my next meal would come from, now I wonder where my next meal will come from". Such simple and powerful bars!! Repeating the exact same sentence twice and having a whole new opposite meaning to it. Your brain immediately picks it up and it blows your mind. Who else does this? Who thinks of things like this? Em's a fucking genius ❤️
@@TriForceTony Yeah, I also love these small things no one notices! Like the lines from Caterpillar, where he says "Attack of the SILVERBACK gorilla", "Like Anderson SILVA BACK when he snapped his shin in half". Or the lines from Godzilla, where he says "I only get more HANDSOME and FLYER", "passing out like when you HAND SOMEONE FLYERS". Small gems scattered across his bars.
I think that the second “meal” is meant to be heard as “mill”, as in million. That way it reads as growth from not having good to wondering how well his next album or project will do.
Aye man, a lot of reactors just listen and say how fire it is after the rappers spit bars, and ignore what they actually put into they’re lyrics, but you actually break down everything, and make the raps way more interesting! Your break downs also allow me to hear to the music again, but coming in with a different perspective of how I listen to it, which I think is dope!!🔥🔥

I have watched a lot of people trying to decipher eminems' bars and to be honest they are decent. But you're the first one to explain every bar sentence to sentence. And that's what barology is all about. Cheers
I have to add one thing that makes this guy different in terms of barology though, he also talks about how the rapper or lyricist works with the beat. Many rap breakdown channels just focus on the words, not the style or structure or switches. Fair enough, only a handful of lyricists even change their style in a single verse. Eminem throws cargo pants every verse, just pockets on pockets everywhere and ready for travel.
Wow my dude, you're here!!! I thought you didn't know Knox! I'm glad you're here for real bar breakdowns and not the other shitty reactors ❤️ yay! Greetings from another tuga
Just found you and subscribed immediately, I’m amazed how smart and wise you are lyrically wise deep thinker I feel you heavy brother, I pray one day people breakdown your rap and react to it, I wanna for some reason see you succeed on very high level, god bless you work hard you already there you just can’t see it yet! V
Missed bar, Knox ;) "Hit Europe, kicked the door in, put a foot through it like a stirrup" In the old legend, Zeus raped Europe in disguise of a bull after she sat down on him (rode him). Hence "hit Europe", "stirrup" and the rest... Insanity
Also for Em himself, he began down a dark rode of overdosing, sleep deprivation and more on the EU leg of his Encore/D12 World tour years back. He hit Europe, and ran through it.
I love how much respect you show for his talent as a true mc I'm a writer mainly poetry I like that you point out how crazy hard he works on several different rhyme schemes at the same time I write the same way and it's awesome to see Em get the real respect he deserves
After you're finish reacting to the album, there is this song called Right for Me by Eminem. I know you don't usually do lyric videos, but you might not understand the chorus, or you might. If you look at the lyrics there is a color scheme video. If you're just doing the audio, do the one with the official album (shadyxv) cover. Some of the songs have an altered pitch to it. I could link em' if you want.
Knox is easily the best breakdown artist, most of the higher known breakdown channels miss so much you catch easily, your mind may explode, but never stop. Thank you man. Appreciate you
The reference in the very first line to 6ix9ine is powerful. It's an overture for the whole track. So, one way to understand it is that Em is saying that Snoop and Tekashi are pretty much the same. That's a sick diss.
Everyone keeps missing the “FairWeather” line. FairWeather is a brand of washing machines. She thinks “machine washed me” Em is stupid with that pencil
Legitimately the BEST breakdowns I've ever heard are from you. You point out SO many things which makes me love Eminem more than I already do because of how complex his music process is on multiple levels! Shows how musically talented you are as well to notice all these levels and talk on it.
Knox, you get a standing ovation for the absolute best breakdown of this song man 👏👏👏👏👏 You even had me tearing up towards the end there 😢 This album has me all over the place!! 🙈😆 Much luv to all the Stans out there - I swear I can feel the energy & it's amazing✌️
I've never heard anyone shitting on Em for his lyrical abilities. It's mostly, and I would agree with the notion that he has lost his passion and playfulness, not his word crafting skills.
@@DarkThagan because he does not want to keep repeating old content, it was already discussed. You can't keep relivent if you are still doing like your first or second album.
It's like an intelligent joke it's just goes over dumb ass head then they say it was a shit joke while the genius in the back is fucking laughing his ass off
I love how you breakdown every bar. There are quite a few reaction channels that are either not brave to do it or the bars go right over their head. I love that you're breakdowns always go over 30 mins. I'm so here for it!
I have to tell you that I am a granny from South Africa and I am LK obsessed with your analysis of Em's songs. I have to remind myself that I am someone's grandmother when I'm watching your reactions 🤣🤣
I believe that Europe "Hit Europe, kicked the door in, put a foot through it (ugh) " is also in reference to Italy, which is in Europe and the country is famous for being the shape of a boot, and Eminem also did his first ever gig in Italy with the Revival tour in 2018 in Milan, Italy.
Great breakdowns!! I think that first line in the hook is a shot at Snoop, "say I'm not the goat" that's referring to Snoop saying he wasn't even top 10. Also said, "seen the hugest debuts, I've had a great view, to see the game thru." Done music with The Game as well, could be referencing The Game as well and he's been very complimentary of Em's music.
Man, I've never thought of Em as white or black. I thought of Em as Em, the one who inspires. The G.O.A.T. I mean, how many artists have you seen giving up Grammys and shit to voice out for the other artist fellows.
In the middle of your video u talked about Em showing that lyrical rap can still be a vibe. The perfect example for this is in my opinion his new song Killer on the album. Very modern sounding beat and his flows just fit perfect to this. Even more modern and vibey than Zeus.
Love hearing an actual lyricist break down these bars! Probably the most in depth reaction to em I’ve seen yet! Keep it up guy. And good luck with your album 💪🏻
Honestly, nobody can fuck with you on breakdowns, you make these other reactors look lazy as hell, even the bigger ones that I like, Crypt, Shaq etc, love those guys but they got lazy, you can tell you have a lyrical ear for this shit bro, love your music, love ems album, keep this train rolling big dawg
His only competition is The Third Ernest, and honestly they're on the exact same level. I can't tell you how much I love them both. The others you listed are more for entertaining purposes, they catch bars, but don't have such knowledge and passion for the rap game. Knox and Third Ernest know their history.
@@TriForceTony I guarantee you he's on the same level as Knox, you won't be disappointed. The only difference is their personalities. Other than that, they're both raging rap nerds, and I love that about them. Let me know how you feel about him after you check him out 😁
@@iulia.bianca.b wow, thank you, that Godzilla break down in both parts was so technical, like you said, so much detail to the rhyme schemes and internal lines, definitely a fan now

When he says “up in the clouds got a birds eye view”, it could also relate back to Zeus being known to change his appearance into birds and other things.
LOL 🤣 the line is " I got my head up in the clouds like Zeus, I swear I can see the game from the bird's eye view " It basically means he is above every rapper and he is like a bird flying above every rapper .
I don’t know if this is a reach but in the hook when White Gold says “I’m looking at the game from a birds eye view” In Greek mythology Zeus can turn into an Eagle which is obviously a bird
Also, Zeus' daughter is Athena, usually associated with owls and there's an owl in the beat. Or well, something that sounds like the eerie call of an owl. First I thought those that said the "who?" is referencing an owl were reaching a bit, but now that I heard the owl in the beat, I'm pretty sure it's not a reach at all!
@@rainsarrows4315 How very majestic 😁 (But all jokes aside: there were no turkeys in Europe back in those days. Maybe you mixed it up and Zeus went TO Turkey? 😉)
Thank you so much for always breaking down these bar. Let me say I watch many reactions from others and you by far have the best videos with an actual breakdown. Love it.

Repeating the exact same sentence twice and having a whole new opposite meaning to it. Your brain immediately picks it up and it blows your mind. Who else does this? Who thinks of things like this? Em's a fucking genius ❤️
I loved the stir it up, Europe, your up, stirrup lines, he is on another level
@@TriForceTony Yeah, I also love these small things no one notices! Like the lines from Caterpillar, where he says "Attack of the SILVERBACK gorilla", "Like Anderson SILVA BACK when he snapped his shin in half". Or the lines from Godzilla, where he says "I only get more HANDSOME and FLYER", "passing out like when you HAND SOMEONE FLYERS". Small gems scattered across his bars.
You really thought that out of the millions of people who have heard this, that you was the only one who liked that line? 🤔😆
@@Woofwoof1929 It's not meant to be taken literally, wtf... 🤦 That's why I try not to comment at all, people are so rude... Did it make you feel good?
I think that the second “meal” is meant to be heard as “mill”, as in million. That way it reads as growth from not having good to wondering how well his next album or project will do.
Literally thought after watching doc rich...I need Knox to do this one man!! Big up from UK

U just killed it brah..Every single words u react.its awesome.
Appreciate that!

Eminem is the most intelligent rapper alive.
Break down Em: pause every 5 seconds cause Em is so lyrically dense.
Break down Mumble rap: pause button packs up and leaves, no longer needed.
You’re so knowledgeable about rap it’s nice to see. You’re the only reaction channel that I don’t skip parts. I’ll think I caught every bar and you show me ones that flew right over my head. Keep it up bro
I’m pretty sure the line about “birds eye view” is also a play on Zeus who often takes the form of a 🦅 .
I have watched a lot of people trying to decipher eminems' bars and to be honest they are decent. But you're the first one to explain every bar sentence to sentence. And that's what barology is all about. Cheers
I totally agree, I am subscribed to others but none breaks down the bars like Knox
I have to add one thing that makes this guy different in terms of barology though, he also talks about how the rapper or lyricist works with the beat. Many rap breakdown channels just focus on the words, not the style or structure or switches. Fair enough, only a handful of lyricists even change their style in a single verse.
Eminem throws cargo pants every verse, just pockets on pockets everywhere and ready for travel.
i liked zeus so much.
im glad you've broken down the bars that flew over my head
You let me Fully Appreciate Eminem for the artist he is and that makes me love him even more. Thank you for that
man your analysis is legit...
i think your the only dude ive seen who actually takes notes of the production and how it enhances the lyrics.
Portugal here for the Goat Eminem always since day one. What an amazing album. Perfect.
As a portuguese myself, I couldn't agree more. He really showed us what he got
Btw I'm German and I love your Videos, so go on!!🙌🏻🙌🏻🇩🇪😁👋🏻
Missed bar, Knox ;)
"Hit Europe, kicked the door in, put a foot through it like a stirrup"
In the old legend, Zeus raped Europe in disguise of a bull after she sat down on him (rode him). Hence "hit Europe", "stirrup" and the rest... Insanity
Incredible catch & knowledge, i thought i was over thinking that bar!!’
I also had heard that stirrups were revolutionary to Europe and Rome as a technological advancement.
Great job on that one!
You know em really reads into his stuff. For these and for us to enjoy. I respect that
Also for Em himself, he began down a dark rode of overdosing, sleep deprivation and more on the EU leg of his Encore/D12 World tour years back. He hit Europe, and ran through it.
I love how much respect you show for his talent as a true mc
I'm a writer mainly poetry
I like that you point out how crazy hard he works on several different rhyme schemes at the same time I write the same way and it's awesome to see Em get the real respect he deserves
Good eye
Insane
Geez he’s crazy was wondering if there was more to that
Nice!
new track 🔥🔥😈 frfr th-cam.com/video/IKCVeP-cHME/w-d-xo.html
Legitimately the BEST breakdowns I've ever heard are from you. You point out SO many things which makes me love Eminem more than I already do because of how complex his music process is on multiple levels! Shows how musically talented you are as well to notice all these levels and talk on it.
Gotta say you're one of the best at this man, keep it up. It's damn cool how much a song can change after you've gotten a better understanding of it.
Knox, you get a standing ovation for the absolute best breakdown of this song man 👏👏👏👏👏 You even had me tearing up towards the end there 😢 This album has me all over the place!! 🙈😆
Much luv to all the Stans out there - I swear I can feel the energy & it's amazing✌️
People who say eminem has lost it are just to dumb to understand EMS lyrics
I've never heard anyone shitting on Em for his lyrical abilities. It's mostly, and I would agree with the notion that he has lost his passion and playfulness, not his word crafting skills.
@@DarkThagan because he does not want to keep repeating old content, it was already discussed. You can't keep relivent if you are still doing like your first or second album.
The thing is, the older Em gets, the more complex his rhymes become. That's why he's lost so many fans. No one can understand what he's saying.
@@DarkThagan He still has the playfulness, the lyrics are just more complex now. For example, Those Kinda Nights.
It's like an intelligent joke it's just goes over dumb ass head then they say it was a shit joke while the genius in the back is fucking laughing his ass off
Such a simple, calm, and yet amazing flow and that hook is incredible.
i come down like who?
I love how you breakdown every bar. There are quite a few reaction channels that are either not brave to do it or the bars go right over their head. I love that you're breakdowns always go over 30 mins. I'm so here for it!
I have to tell you that I am a granny from South Africa and I am LK obsessed with your analysis of Em's songs. I have to remind myself that I am someone's grandmother when I'm watching your reactions 🤣🤣
I mean Em did say “compare me to lightning that similarity is striking” on Bang with Conway. Zeushady ⚡️
8:56 Em’s going over an apology to Rihanna *Knox pauses* Do dO dO Do dO dO* ( all jokes i just laughed about it😂)
Knox, hell! You mind is like a cryptanalysis of the Enigma ciphering system! Really enjoyed your reaction!
Man just found you recently and you’re the best doing it. Keep killing it brother
I think he might also be referring to Godzilla with "monster", "giant" and "head in the cloud"
Head in the cloud , Zues god of lightning, sky in Greek mythology
I think he's referring to Rap God, then Monster (ft. Rihanna) in the chorus/hook
I like to pretend he's talking about the Monstars from Space Jam.
Yea i think you’re right i also made a comment about that because when ppl usually talk about rap god they talk about godzilla
Yes for sure
I believe that Europe "Hit Europe, kicked the door in, put a foot through it (ugh)
" is also in reference to Italy, which is in Europe and the country is famous for being the shape of a boot, and Eminem also did his first ever gig in Italy with the Revival tour in 2018 in Milan, Italy.
Nice analysis!
Love your energy man😂and its like comming to the eminem dictionary🙌
Man, I've never thought of Em as white or black. I thought of Em as Em, the one who inspires. The G.O.A.T. I mean, how many artists have you seen giving up Grammys and shit to voice out for the other artist fellows.
In the middle of your video u talked about Em showing that lyrical rap can still be a vibe. The perfect example for this is in my opinion his new song Killer on the album. Very modern sounding beat and his flows just fit perfect to this. Even more modern and vibey than Zeus.
Bro on god!!! Killer is one of my faves!!
Yes. Killer is so good.
Yes, it reminds me of tyga 's style. Taste
Damn broo. Those subliminals 👀 “who do you think I am” salute from Nicaragua 🇳🇮!
You know ur shit. Always look for you to break it down. Don’t stop please. Love u
@@iulia.bianca.b im gonna have to check the channel out
@@TriForceTony I guarantee you he's on the same level as Knox, you won't be disappointed.

20:20 ..Missed bar "They see Future in the pass" like the rapper future
From the intro until the Black Thought shout-out he was dissing Misfit...she said those things at Math-Hoffa podcast
Knox and scriptwork are the best at breaking every single reference bar down.
When he says “up in the clouds got a birds eye view”, it could also relate back to Zeus being known to change his appearance into birds and other things.
Yesssiirr Em is fucking fire bro Bars in the hook🔥🔥🔥
Or the idea that where the Greek gods live is above the clouds
LOL 🤣 the line is " I got my head up in the clouds like Zeus,
I swear I can see the game from the bird's eye view "
It basically means he is above every rapper and he is like a bird flying above every rapper .
Same with the goat, goat as in the animal and G.O.A.T. the acronym for "greatest of all time"
Zeus is also the God of the Sky
I don’t know if this is a reach but in the hook when White Gold says “I’m looking at the game from a birds eye view” In Greek mythology Zeus can turn into an Eagle which is obviously a bird
That's not a reach i guess, cool catch man.

No he turns into a turkey
@@rainsarrows4315 How very majestic 😁 (But all jokes aside: there were no turkeys in Europe back in those days. Maybe you mixed it up and Zeus went TO Turkey? 😉)

I love Side B and I love your reactions, you're truly the best! I can't wait for you to hear and react to the rest. Bars after bars after bars💯 and thanks to you I've been paying more attention to the instrumental. On each track of side B I was like omg can't wait for Knox to hear this little beat switch or ad lib haha. Much love from Romania❤️
I speak Spanish as primary language and I've been listening to eminem since 2010. When this song came out I liked it but I was normal. Then I went totally crazy when I saw your reaction. The amount of references, double senses, wordplays, the cadence, flow, pronunciation are insane. You are the best breaking down the lyrics, keep doing it like this👍.
Do you understand it at all
"When people say 'you aint the goat' i come down like 'who?'"
Hes so high (head in the clouds) that he needs to come down to earth to address beefs 😱😱
Head in the Clouds...NF?!

'Who' as in 'Hoo' as well, as Zeus often came down to earth in the form of an owl.
