This is the move that helped propel me from hitting in the 90s to now consistently in the low 80s. I’m anticipating going into the 70s soon. This move is an absolute game changer, along with the short game teachings of Dan Grieve.
I’ve been to stacks of coaches. I couldn’t get off the back foot. Went to a new coach and was shown this. FIVE MINUTES later I was off the back foot, getting shaft lean and hitting my 7 iron 167 yards from my normal 150. This works!!!!!!
Would you say a loss of creating a flying wedge in your back swing would lead to a cupped lead wrist at the top of your backswing, therefore creating more of a slice tendency at impact?
I was looking at the 2023 Trackman PGA averages and noticed for driver the men average -0.9 (down) angle of approach while the ladies average 2.8 (up). Is this because most men on the PGAT play a fade or cut with driver while the women on the LPGA play a draw with driver?
Another great video, I’ll do these exercises whilst waiting for the mark on my forehead to heal from the door jamb drill😂. On a related note at 1:03 in this video is a slo-mo of Bryson (I think) at impact and he has almost completely released his right hand from the grip - you can clearly see the white of his trousers (pants?) in the gap between his thumb and index finger - is this normal in professional golfers?
Hello Rob, everything is good on the mat at small speed , 100% with no ball, 70% with a ball but everything collapses on the course in real conditions..... keep trying. Thank you
"can use with all clubs in the bag". Needs more explanation for the driver when hitting up with a forward ball position. I see nothing to say how maintaining these backward wrist angles will help with the driver.
That’s a fair question. But you can definitely have forward shaft lean and hit up on the driver. In fact, most amateur golfers get the entire concept of “hitting up” with the driver completely wrong which leads to erratic and uncontrollable driving.

That’s awesome, Nigel! 💪🏻
Really been enjoying how you explain things. A lot of coaching videos become convoluted due to them selling something.
Thank you. I appreciate you saying this! 👍🏻
More good stuff Rob.I have this product and appreciate this training session. Stay well-Russ

Yes, I would agree with that.
Rob, I purchased the precision trainer and want to know if i should use it on my driver or only ground based shots
Works for the driver as well.

I've certainly seen it in other Professional players, yes.
Good video!! Steve Johnston has done some good videos on this too.
No, I haven't...tell me more!
Do you think the swing is mostly a pulling left arm or a pushing right arm in a right handed player?
I honestly think that "feel" is very subjective from player to player. For me, it's more of a "pull' with the left side.
Yes, yes I have (both definitions actually)
Thanks, Les! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Rob, Are you implying that both address and impact positions are ideally the same ? Best wishes.
No, not at all. In fact, I'm explaining how they are different and how to see/feel these differences.
