I've watched this movie dozens of times. It's one of my favorites. I think that when he told her to put a picture of him just like he is in her heart, right before he went back to his regular life, that it actually worked and when he described that "dream" he had about their life together, she recognized it and thats why she listened to him and then agreed to stay.
One of my favorite movies ever. I was so excited when I pulled up TH-cam and saw the thumbnail. I would HIGHLY suggest watching Honeymoon In Vegas, another Nic Cage classic from the 90’s. Happy Holidays man
This is one of my all-time favorites!! I saw this in the theater and have watched it many times since. It's a charming, funny, moving story about love and family and second chances. Hardly anyone reacts to this little hidden gem, so thank you for your reaction!!!
A wonderful movie. Leonie and Cage had good chemistry here. Actually a great cast all around. And I really liked the ending. Spoilers: Most movies would have ended with him in the alternative life. This one here went a different way with Jack being back in the life he knew. But still getting the chance to build a future with Kate. I really liked that approach. I also appreciate that even though successful, Jack wasn't a complete a$$hat, but still sympathetic.
It's a twist on the movie 'It's a Wonderful Life' where George Bailey doesn't marry Mary and leaves Bedford Falls as a young man, and the Angel shows him the family life he missed out on.
@@johnnyboy7144ohhh I find their reactions so entertaining, but sometimes it does feel like it takes them a little longer to process! Whatever they're doing, they certainly are successful!
I'm pretty sure that I'm one of the people that requested this film. It's one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies. I watch it every year during the holidays. It's a bit personal for me as I pretty much chose my career over a personal life. I do sometimes wonder what my life would have been like if I had chosen differently. There's another film with similar themes called Mr Destiny. Not a holiday film, but it's just as wholesome as this film.
So many turning points in our collective lives. Every big decision a new crossroads that can't be undone. The daughter, Annie, makes this movie. Her realization that he isn't her actual dad gave this movie a whole soul.
This movie never fails to make me cry. Especially with the music by Danny Elfman. The first time I watched it I went into such a deep slump because I realized how little I had in life, prior I was comfortable living the single life. But this movie made me realize how much I want a family and kids.
Actually, I'm not surprised at all that you haven't heard of "The Family Man"; it's a sleeper of a flick that easily gets overlooked, yet it's a sweet, warn film worth watching. This film showcases what Nick Cage does best: express sweet sincerity. Any film he's cast in that calls for this open vulnerability of baring the soul is humanized by his ability to express that state of being. Another film that touches on that is 1998's "City of Angels", highly recommended. I think he also does this in "Raising Arizona", which I believe you've seen. I can also recommend 1995's "Leaving Las Vegas", with a warning that it's heart-breaking; you might want to put that one off a few years.
Such a beautiful movie. Thank you for reacting to this movie and I could tell, given your heartfelt emotions and opinions during this movie, that youre a wonderful family man, one that truly loves his children and his wife, which is becoming more and more rare these days and many wives also take their husband, their children for granted etc but thank you for a genuine reaction. God bless you and yours 🥰
That was a great reaction, James. ALWAYS enjoy your movies. I love Tea Leoni. I watched this movie because of her. I love this movie because family is the most important thing in life. ANY ideal that weaponizes you or your family will always steer you wrong and end up bad for you. There is only ONE thing you can take to the grave with you, and that is knowing of the love you've left behind for your family. God bless you and your family on this holiday. And happy new year.
I remember watching this movie really young and wishing something similar would happen with my dad. He is incredibly successful and I’m sure that has a lot to do with how hard he worked when we were little but I never really started to know my dad until recently in my adult years. I love him to death I just wish I’d had a childhood with him.
I do understand this for sure. Sometimes we put so much pressure on our careers. Have you asked your dad about it. I bet I put a lot of work in to make a great life for his family.
@ He did! And I absolutely love him and admire him for his work ethic. It’s just a movie that seems very bittersweet to me. Love your channel and thanks for all the reactions! ❤️
A winner, this one. And Cage has been in every movie over the last 50 years, so he was bound to score. I think his Uncle Frank may have possibly put him in The Godfather
It probably wasn't me, but i do sometimes recommend this movie in comments on various reactor channels :) I've seen it long ago and rewatched it last Christmas. Very good movie. I think it wasn't that big actually, so it is rare people react to it.
I could never forget this movie. Such amazing performances, great casting, and a magnetic story. Aside from all that, I will always remember it for the shower scene that I spanked it to as a kid...
I would love to see you react to another Holiday movie (Thanksgiving) that's a hidden gem is HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS with Holly Hunter. I know you will enjoy it...
Never saw this one (Nicolas Cage is hit-or-miss for me), but I have a lot of friends who like this one. It is the same director who did Rush Hour and Red Dragon, believe it or not. The original director left to do another project, released the same year, called "Wonder Boys."
You should review the movie "World Trade Center" from 2006 where Nicholas Cage plays an NYPD chief who is pulled alive from the rouble of the twin towers on 9/11. He plays the part superbly and the story is based on true events.
You like this film... I did too. Classic Cage for me. If you want one that I'm sure nobody has seen that's a true gem? The Fall (2006) by Tarsem Singh. If you can find it... You will love it.
Thank you all for the support.

See? Us utubers CAN pick some pretty good winners for you to watch, lol. So glad you picked this little gem. That was a fun watch with you.

Pure accidental

I have seen that movie but a very long time ago. Don't remember much about it.
You should watch it again on Christmas day with your family@@AwesomeUSMovies
@@AwesomeUSMoviesyou should react to it then!
Yes! Don't you think Cage has a really Jimmy Stewart-esque quality in this movie? His voice, facial expressions.
@audraross3012 yeah I can see that
This is a modern day must watch Christmas classic in my eyes! Loved your reaction (which is why I subscribed long ago I suppose).
I appreciate the support
Best Cage movie to me ❤
To me, second to "Moonstruck" 😉
Thanks!!!!!! I watched Asia and BJ’s reaction and yours immediately after!!!!! So great!!!! Loved your guffaws and tears! 😂😢😂😂😂😂😂

Hello James, this is a great holiday film!
So many turning points in our collective lives. Every big decision a new crossroads that can't be undone. The daughter, Annie, makes this movie. Her realization that he isn't her actual dad gave this movie a whole soul.

You saw Don Cheadle (the “ghost guy”) in Ocean’s 11. He had a fake cockney accent and built bombs 😬

Uh oh😢
The Family Stone

Its funny how much you were emotional during this fairytale of a film compared to the entire Band of Brothers series, which was based on real people.
