This is an EXCELLENT well informed review. Thank you. I have the one that comes with the reusable filter (which I never use). I have had it for almost 1 full year, and it has not disappointed. I don’t really have any issues with coffee grounds sneaking into my coffee. That said, I have never made a 12 cup serving. It is very quiet. It makes very good coffee. Overall, I really like it for a budget-friendly everyday coffee maker.
Just brought this pot last week when my Cuisinart started leaking after 6yrs of service. So I went in best buy. And I narrowed it down to this and the Kurig k duo. Like the concept of the kurig because of the option of one cup pod. Or multiple cup carife. But their was three deciding factors 1) I had kurig years ago and frankly wasn't impressed. 2) I have a ninja blender and a ninja air fryer. And I'm very impressed with their products. 3) the deciding factor was the stay hot technology claim on the back. I hate brewing coffee and having to nuke it for 20 seconds after to get it piping hot. So now one week later and this pot has not dissapointed. Makes a nice flavourful cup. I love the classic and rich brewing options. Love the timer.. OH AND THE STAY HOT CLAIM IS AS ADVERTISED COFFEE COMES OUT PIPING HOT. AND PIPING HOT EVEN AFTER I ADD LIQUID CREAMER. AND STAYS HOT ON THE PLATE WITHOUT SCORCHING. So with that said im giving this a 5 out of 5 stars 🌟 love this product. Ninja has not let me down yet.

I was given this coffee pot as a hand me down, no box! That was weeks ago. It wasn’t until I found this video that I knew how to use it correctly!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks for posting. The coffee grounds get too high because there is too much coffee (12 tablespoons per 12 cups...way to strong) and the water and the large quantity of coffee turns it to mud, therefore the water takes a long time to saturate the coffee grounds.

I bought the CE200 model at Wal-Mart in October 2019 to replace my Gevalia coffee maker which finally died after many years of reliable service. I liked the Ninja reservoir because I could leave the carafe in place under the basket. It worked flawlessly until today, 7/4/2021. Water won't feed into the heating tank, and the brew button pulses like it's waiting for the water to flow. The warmer plate isn't heating, but I suspect that's because the the brewer isn't brewing. The 'clean' button has never come on, but I only brew a couple of pots a week, unless I'm on vacation, when it gats daily use. Can't say I would recommend this unit to anyone. Certainly not after 21 months. Of course it's out of warranty too.

Glad I found this. I just ordered the 251 & this video was really helpful. One of the common concerns in reviews I read was about the water reservoir & I didn't understand what the problem was. You cleared that up for me: you only put in the reservoir the amount of water you are going to use for the current batch. I think people were trying to use it like a Keurig reservoir & expecting the water to be there over several brews until all the water was gone. I would have thought the same. I still like the idea of a reservoir over pouring into the back but... it's kind of the same as with a regular coffeemaker in that I will have to measure the water each time. The thing is, one reviewer suggested not removing the reservoir to fill each time (just bring the water to it) because the seal gets weak over time and will start to leak (another reviewer complaint). I was watching with interest as you handled the carafe because I hear that it's fragile on the 251. Is it the same for this one? The other thing I am worried about is how big this machine could be on the counter. The height doesn't bother me because I have a spot with no cabinet overhead but I hated the size of the old Keurig Classic because it took up so much space on the counter. I got used to a slimmer electric Presto percolator but it had short plug issues, cooked any coffee left in it, and got so hot that I literally burned my hand. Really hoping the 251 works out. I am tired of searching for something that makes at least decent-tasting coffee and doesn't cost a fortune.

Excellent review as always. I am wondering how this unit compares against the Cuisinart 3200. I’m trying to decide between this Ninja and that unit. Hot brewing temp and flavor are two most important features for me. I’ve seen you compare the Ninja against the older Cuisinart 1200 model but not a comparison against the 3200.

I watched the video and purchased the maker, will be returning it soon being you can’t set it to make one cup of coffee. For me to make one cup of coffee I must pre-measure the water for the cup size and I have to use the carafe aka glass pot. Doing this three times a day means I would end up wasting a lot of water and time rinsing the pot for my three cups of coffee. To read the settings on the front I had to get eye level being the print is very small. One more thing, what they call a cup of coffee will only fill my cup halfway. ;-)
That can be the warming plate, sometimes I hear that if I have water between the Coffee pot (carafe) and the warming plate. Also sometimes my warming plate just makes that noise. I think it is normal, I dry my coffee pot off now before I put it in the coffee maker.

To read the settings on the front I had to get eye level being the print is very small. One more thing, what they call a cup of coffee will only fill my cup halfway. ;-)
I start using my coffee maker today and I hear a loud noise like "Tik" every minute! Is it normal?
That can be the warming plate, sometimes I hear that if I have water between the Coffee pot (carafe) and the warming plate. Also sometimes my warming plate just makes that noise. I think it is normal, I dry my coffee pot off now before I put it in the coffee maker.
@@JustADad I didn't even wash it, just filled reservoir and turn on coffee maker to clean all parts. I tried two more times and fortunately I didn't hear that strange noise! I guess because it was the first time I used it! I hope it won't repeat again! By the way it is a very helpful video. Thanks.
@@helentavi4538 Yeah it might have been just that first time.
@@helentavi4538 is it still making a clicking noise? Ours did too so I just returned it today for a new one, thought it was defective lol. Just wondering if yours stopped.
@@paulacronic Fortunately it stops making noise. The first two times it happened maybe because it was new! I didn't return it and I'm happy now.
how does the coffee taste from the ninja compared to the bunn and the moccamaster? that's the most important test for me when deciding which to buy. thanks.
This ninja was just ok. I really like the Ninja Cp301 th-cam.com/video/MHqEngvZKeE/w-d-xo.html
The best Taste is the Moccamaster but is it $300 better, maybe not. the Bunn for $99 is a great buy and makes just a good a pot of coffee as moccamaster, but he the moccamaster does taste better.
Let me know how it goes.
@@JustADad i like the ninja's but they are just as tall as the other better brands and i don't trust or think that the ninja can come close to the taste of a techni, bunn, or bonita, that's what's holding me back from a ninja, otherwise, i would get it for all that it offers. thanks.
It says on amazon, Included Components: Permanent Filter. what does this mean ! you said it doesn't have one !
That it comes with a reusable cone shaped coffee filter, they call it a reusable or permanent. sometimes they come with out it. you can use a #4 paper cone filter or this reusable filter but you can not use them at the same time. you will get some sediment with a reusable filter. I made a video on the difference th-cam.com/video/_ViYni9tG3A/w-d-xo.html
@@JustADad really appreciate the video. Like you said Amazon carries a 251 model while yours is 250. The Q&A said the Ninja does come with the mesh filter basket that is what had me worries. Thanks again !
Off Its automatíc?
yes the machine will turn off automatcally.
i just ordered this. and he goes and says he bought his at walmart for 70, and then he goes and says click that amazon link, no way buddy. I literally just paid 89+tax from there when retail is better price. I was gonna compliment you on how your woman does a great job keeping the kitchen clean but now I realize you saving so much money not from buying online you can afford maid services !!
LOL thanks for watching, sorry for the confusion, I should have been more clear. You can use a #4 paper cone filter that is a lot cheaper.
Lol!
... and then he says it doesn't come with removable filter. i could have sworn i saw it with a picture. now i gotta spend more on this 89 crap that hasn't arrived yet that costs 70 at walmart for a filter !!

I know we are friends, but I would NEVER buy any Ninja product. That guy who does their infomercials is so offensive that I am completely turned off to their products.
Thanks How have you been? I will have to look that up. What coffee Makers have you had over the years?
@@JustADad I have had various Keurigs over the years. I have passed them on to family members as I got better ones. I now have the K Supreme Plus which I got because of the memory feature. I gave my K Elite to my son and his roommate. I also had the 2.0:which would make a carafe, but they discontinued it and the supplies became hard to get. I have an account at Keurig.com which makes it easier to get things I like which I can’t find here in my small town. If you ever get down this way, we will go to a local supermarket which has some great store brand K-cups.
@@MrTmwilliamson You bet, I would love it if you showed me around. Thanks for sharing!!!
