Hi Kristen. In your videos you've talked about grounding your furniture by using a large rug which looks great. What if I have carpet? Is there anything I would need to incorporate to make the furniture appear grounded in this situation? 😊

I know I love mismatched furniture! One of the ways I’ve been looking to accomplish this is by using slip covers! Amazon has some great ones with a variety of colors and patterns! (And very affordable! 😉)

Ladies - large original paintings are fabulous with high ceilings. Support a local artist.
Adding trim such as picture frame molding helps to add texture to the large wall and break up all the space

Such great ideas, after a few thounsand hours of decoration/renovation shows, decoration magazines and videos I am quite lucky that I did none of those mistakes, neutrals yes, white couch: Always but interesting chairs, right coffee table, beautiful art, many of the pieces from Ikea with a bit of other stores, 80% contemporary and 20% traditional, love your videos...thanks, Happy Holidays

When I was a child every house in our extended family had the pictures hung too high because our dads were over 6ft tall. Was at eye level for them, though.

Hi, very helpful videos, thank you so much! I was curious to know, would you recommend mixing a leather couch with a fabric accent chair? We have brown leather couch and the chair is aqua blue but are having a hard time figuring out how to decorate based on those two items. Thank you!

Hi Kristen, I have an ugly builders grade white tiled fireplace surround. I can't afford a complete remodel but I thought about painting the tile. You're fortunate to be able to order on line and everything fits. If I don't try it on then I would end up sending it back then there's the trouble and expense of taking it back plus I like to be able to get out of the house and shop.
