When you ask some npcs what they want for a gift they will tell you what someone else wants. Hekla tells you what Jina needs. Others will do something similar. Leveling your furniture skill is easy. Chops downs some trees then go to your crafting bench and make any furniture you can, that you haven't already made. You will hit level 2 after only a few items.

Noticed one thing, open the oysters, they have a chance to have either white or green pearls, and they are worth alot. You can then use the meat to either cook or sell.

was about to type the same thing and i was like surely someone else has said it, what a waste selling them unopened

When I watched you sell the unopened oysters I screamed nnnooo at my screen. You can open them!! and get pearls from the sometimes. Also for the people needing to repair your tool, but haven't gotten the repair anvil. Across from the furniture store in town is a black smith. You can use that anvil to repair your tools.

Hey Z just a little help with your social skills; Hit L to bring up the list of residents directly and notice the balloon with the ellipsis (...) that shows at the bottom of their face plate tells you that you haven't spoken with them yet today; when you look at the detail for them you'll notice the thumbs up will show green when you have what they want and a little green checkmark will show at the bottom right of that icon when you've already fulfilled their want. You click the button under the gift button when it's available to find out what a resident wants but sometimes you have to find out what a resident wants from a DIFFERENT resident by speaking to them. That's why when pursuing these you want to try to speak to everyone. You can also see in the resident list an icon on their face plate that tells you if you have a quest turn in or a new quest available to/from them.

Oh one more thing for the glider; The tailor (Jel) will send you 4 fabric in the mail at some point; I think it might've been a reward for doing one of his quests but do things for him to get that and save the gold for the leather if you can't get to loom yet.

One thing that I feel players that might be used to other MMOs might miss out on starting out is the way gathering works. most other games, it can be competitive, but in Palia, it is different. If more than one player hits a node, all of the players that hit it get the reward. If I hit a copper node once and 3 other players hit it once, we all get the copper from it, we all get the XPs from it., same goes for tree chopping, this encourages sharing and helping instead of competition. you can even get another player to help you cook and you both get the food and XP for doing one recipe.

Thanks for all the tips! Have been playing a bit and have been keeping an eye out for you, but so far have missed you haha! I'm in the camp of not wanting/needing combat, but agree there should be other things added to keep the game interesting. I'd like to see scheduled community events where it takes a crowd to make something happen. Additionally, things would feel a little more dynamic if there were quests that involved repairing or making changes to the town in some way. Looking forward to what is to come I suppose, as it sounds like the Dev's have plans.

open oysters and get meat to grill, and chance at pearls for cash or craft
also, wallpaper can be applied both inside and outside of the house, which is nice to change the tan color to a nice wood panel siding on the exterior

There are 2 statues to pray to to spend your renown. The phonix shrine for % increase in xp, and the dragon for more focus. At 50% and 500 it drops in 1/2 so instead of getting 5% you get 2.5% per 100, instead of 50 more focus you get 25. At that swapping point is when I swapped to the other statue to spend my renown. Eventually you will get good food that you will want that higher focus bar but not so much at the start, or heck the way I play mid game.
Oh and after 2.5% it goes down to like 1%.. Yea at 70% things start to move in really really small steps.

Well they can take from "blue protocol" where you hunt bosses for special end game materials to make end game tools or do what "mabinogi" does and host events for outfits, pets. Although having field bosses and dungeons probably would help out

Tip: Repair your tools using the forge in the town for gold instead of repair kits. Super cheap too. It will allow you to save your ingots for more arrows and other things.

for the dragon and phoenix shrines at 75% bonus focus it goes to 1% per 100 renown, and at 500 total focus it goes from 50 per 100 renown to 25

I honestly dont think the game NEEDS combat. There is already so much to do. This being said, I played World of Warcraft for years and enjoyed it very much, so I may not know what Im talking about. But, I think the game is such a unique idea, and such a refreshing idea for an MMO. Literally every MMO has "kill monsters, fight bosses" that I think this game just MAY hang around because it doesnt have that. Although what I will say is, the devs will need to keep updating the game and adding new content every so often, because the real killer of any MMO is stagnation.

sadly the tips and tricks i need is how to keep my D3D from getting lost or hung as the error msg keeps giving me... i know i can play as i made a character and can move around the pheonix falls area with ZERO issues, its when i try to move out of that area i get freezes and crashes.... and ive checked everything, system stats, drivers, all of it i have found to check... its annoying too, because basically i'm stuck in the falls area because of this.. the ONLY thing i can think of is maybe my internet, or a hidden issue with windows and/or dx12.... i've posted the error reports already too each time this happens... soo yeah, thats the tips and tricks i need...

Games that appeal to more players do better, and Palia would benefit from having more players. I don't disagree with this at it's heart, but I do not believe that adding combat so that the game offers everything to everyone is the answer: While there are dead games that didn't offer combat, sure, there are a far greater number of MMO corpses that tried to do everything, but never did anything good enough to be memorable. Being mediocre at everything is worse than being good/great at many things but not having some features at all. We only need to look at the decaying fields of WoW Clones to know that.
I think expanding the hunting system would probably be a better goal -- more different types of creatures that require lures, traps, standing downwind, etc, to hunt as they add new zones to explore, with unique drops. Possibly 'taming' as a function to get farm animals. The 'end-game' should build upon the community-focus they are trying to specialize in, rather than just bolting on combat system (that would require a significant redesign - there's no health bars because there's no functionality for even taking damage.)

  • @Kayenne54
    @Kayenne54 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm never sure why you guys keep going on about hunting. For the same amount of time, and potentially less outlay as a new player, fishing is the best profit. No bait, basic fishing rod, home pond - Made all my money early game by just fishing those lower fish, grilling (no burning on the grill), so getting cooking up and providing myself with focus boost, and made every gold coin that bought every single recipe by continuing fishing with regular worms in other waters after that. Now I just catch those low fish to make sushi. Hunting was a complete waste of time before they nerfed it, except for turning those mats into something that was used to make things like food, or furniture, (which items cannot be sold) - (or for special favours to NPC's sometimes). Didn't see the point. Quite frankly, even the bugs are better money than hunting ever was. Do the math. Spend hours trying to get iron, to make decent arrows to hunt something which doesn't even bring in as much gold per item as a starred low fish. Lol. Run around like a crazy person, or stand in the same place, landing starred mottled gobi fish who'll bring in around 80 gold per. You'll look very flash, but even before the "nerf" fest of the last update, hunting didn't make economic sense to me, for time spent. Plus, I don't compete with anyone for my profitable fish.
