I still feel terrible for the first grove I encountered. Someone was chopping, so I thought that's what I was supposed to do, only afterwards seeing someone saying to stop in the chat... It took a lot of courage for me to even join and I thought I was doing what I was supposed to. They said, "I hate people like that." I apologized and left feeling awful. Now I know, but I wish I'd had the benefit of a doubt instead of hate for what was actually an honest mistake that I will never repeat. I wish I'd offered what I'd gathered before leaving, but I was so shamed I wanted to disappear.
@paxsona3537 Welcome to the community you joined. You can't play the game without getting screamed at because you're playing the game. One of the many reasons I left.
@@artbypaxsona It'll happen a lot more when you continue playing. It's the reason I left the game. The only reason I still watch *only* Fleurs videos on the game is because I can use it for other decorating games like bear and breakfast and animal crossing.
When I need to forage, like at the beach, a tip I received is that it you press your jump and pick up button at the same time it will not stop your run when you pick up the item. It has made gathering oysters so much faster.
I had some pretty nasty things said to me cause i accidentally chopped a grove tree down. I didn't know I had to wait, it was pretty early ingame and i said i was sorry but they got so damn rude. Haven't played for months but started again some days ago. I'm so happy I started again because this time everyone was super nice and i definitely learned from my mistakes but the rudeness i encountered back then was pretty hard actually. There are a lot of things ingame without any explanation or guidance so its a little bit confusing sometimes and especially the grove was something i knew nothing about. Your video was great, thank you for the tips and I hope I'll get into the game even more! I love decorating but I haven't found or bought a lot of stuff until now, I'm also trying to get my hands on some silk thread but so far i only got 3 haha
I personally think it's ridiculous to make everyone wait till 3 to chop, I don't understand why it is that it's done. No, it isn't a lot of time but, to some, it's a right pain in the backside! Because of that and the fact that people are RUDE, I don't do the grove. I have stood around waiting for people when I call out a tree, people say "omw" and never show up. It's beyond frustrating so, I can't participate. I cut the trees I can, purchase what I can't and stay to myself.
Joining the official discord server is a very good thing to do: you can ask help for quests, share build ideas and/or picture, ask to party up with people for activities that being in a party grants exp boost to (mining, fishing, hunting, bug hunting and cooking), and there's even a space where people offer items, for free or for trade, or where you can ask for one. Also, when it comes to gifting npcs, I remember people always saying that you have to wait for an npc to disclose what they want before gifting it to them and reaping the whole benefit, but it's actually not true anymore, I've tested it. People said that if you look online for a liked or loved weekly gift and give it to the npc without them having asked for it then it would act like a regular gift and wouldn't show up on the list of weekly wants, but when I tried that about 2 months ago the npc gave the weekly loved gift reaction and it updated the weekly want list. So don't wait on the npc telling you what they want, just look it up and gift it to them!
I hit the flower limit not knowing there was one, so I started a storage plot. It's at 500 flowers with some trees stored too. This week I threw in some Makeshift decor items around a tent and added it to the plot tours. 500 flowers laid out is a lot. My in game name is Anteesh Norwan if anyone is curious to see the rather boring plot of flowers...lol
Thank you so much for this video! I have been very minimal with my money and buying only recipes for quests and machines for now and all I've been doing is getting money from Zeki's black market card game 😂 it seemed to be quicker so now I'm trying to afford the bigger pieces of crafting recipes before I start spending it on decorations! You've mentioned in one of your previous comments that there's been limited time items and that's slightly discouraging me to decorate but certainly would follow these steps and keep them in mind ❤
The limit with things in plot is frustrating & also limit in storage. When you need so much resources. I have so much trouble finding palium😢 , silk thread and many recipes for furniture making require them. I love the game, being on a switch is another hard thing and getting a gaming computer is not 😢 . Palia community has been good to me ( only one didn’t like that I was a switch player so never have joined a party 😂) watching all these videos really help and keep me playing through the frustration. You always give great information & ideas truly inspiring, so grateful . ( sorry to much writing). Thank you Fleurs for all you do for the Palia community 😊
These are nice tips :) I've been playing for a few weeks now and enjoying my time immensely. I admit I like taking it slow for now though, not working towards the best of my veggie plots and such, but I guess at some point I will 😅 The community has been so incredibly kind and welcoming with very few bad interactions so far!
Thanks so much for the heads up about plot item item limits. I did have big asperations when I discovered the blocks and walls and floors, I had planed to build a complete house with a fully decorated yard but now I know better. I would have been so upset to get most of the way through that and not be able to finish. There should be something that lets you know how many items you have placed and how many item spaces are left. Thanks also for letting me know about the group resource gathering because now I know why a player was following me today and joining me on mining a rock, I thought they were trying to bully me and that he was there to take the recourse before I could, this can happen on a different game that I played for almost 9years until I met Palia, so thanks so much for that tip. I wonder now if that other player was just has confused by my reaction has I was to what they were doing, lol it's funny now but I will be embarrassed if that person says something to me later on lol. Thanks so much.
At the moment, apparently trees you plant on other housing plots count towards your total item limit. So if your main plot suddenly says "limit exceeded" when putting down a new plushie, cut some trees on your other plots. Devs apparently are aware of this issue.
@@Kayenne54 oh and again thanks for the heads up, I have noticed in the last update I do see an item count, unless I didn't notice it before, lol. Awesome feature has I haven't even been doing the quest, just grinding materials to sell so I can build lots, having a blast with this since I LEARNED THE HACKS FROM YOU. Great ideas came from watching you put things together. lol so much fun.
Not maximizing profit is not wrong for me. Knowing how to maximize profit is a good thing. But more important than profit is having fun. So it's perfectly fine if maximizing profit isn't worth the effort for you. The other thing is what you do with your money. If you're not spending a lot of money on furniture and building parts, there's no point in maximizing profit to the extrem, and there's no point in not spending money to repair tools or buy materials if it speeds up your process. I would say the biggest mistake in Palia is to put progress ahead of fun. It's not a race, enjoy the journey.
@@Fleurs_ I think it depends a lot on how a person plays the game. I don't maximize profit every time. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I currently have 400k and I'm not planning to buy anything expensive. If I keep playing, I will reach the million for sure. But I will probably stop playing until new content when I have maxed out the relationship of the last Majiri, found the last pebble of Einar and caught every star-quality insect and fish. For me, I often sell just to clear my chest inventory. It is perfectly fine if you play the game in a way where you need more money. And I really like how you decorated.
that's how i feel, i prefer to spend money at siffus to repair my tools versus crafting repair kits as i'm always running low on iron ore and wood due to my crafting antics. if i tried to look up every way to maximize profits, even looking for which crops to plant next to which ones, i'd be exhaused and just get off. I just slam crops down, craft bug bomb then go lol.
Love all of this but I have to mention about cotton/cloth - when you make a piece of fabric it is worth 48 gold regardless of whether you use starred cotton or plain cotton - and starred cotton is worth 67 gold. It’s a true pain for me because all I end up growing is starred cotton.
I ended up pickling everything, making 200k gold, and ran into the all * Star Item growing problem also. Had to buy regular veggies and Reth's Stews. Getting back to normal now, was so tired of making Quality Boost Fertilizer, that I went for all * Star and Quantity Boost.

The other day someone called out a Pallium , me and 2 other players plus the person that called it out all mine it and one person came after me when the Pallium disappeared and they started harassing me saying why didn’t I wait for them .. I told them the game will remove items around at a certain time and they just kept harassing me more so I reported them
I'm trying to figure out where you got that cute skirt! I'd love it for some of my outfits. But I am really very much enjoying Palia! I remember one of the first groves I encountered... me and someone else were just chopping away at a tree. Everyone around us was just watching. I didn't know the etiquette, but I was reading in chat while they sneered and talked down about us. When I asked what I was doing wrong, I was told to "ask around to find out" by one person; ignored by everyone else. I replied that I had literally just asked, and I got blocked for it. I eventually learned, and now, when encountering newbies: I try to give them a head's up.
The item limit needs to be raised but sadly because of Switch probably won't be. I've got my entire plot spread out and decorated (not cluttered) and I'm constantly having to remove an item just to add a new item. When I tour these homes with all the clutter and stones as footpaths, etc and then it just stops, I KNOW what happened to them.
When I saw the item limit for the housing plots in this game, it made me so excited. I love having cozy clutter, so much so that it hurts my heart I can't do it in another game I play as the limit is only 200 items inside the house, and a sad 20 items for outside. But, after seeing all the various types of items you can have in Palia, as well as seeing the absolute beautiful houses others have made.. I can understand why people want more hooks for items. The community, so far, has been decent. It's hit or miss sometimes on whether you get people who will help, or the complete asswipes who treat people like they're stupid for not knowing something. Sadly, that can't be avoided when it comes to online games.
the plot limit problem is sooo real. I'm building a town square on one of my plots and like a 1000 of those decor slots are already taken up by terracotta pavers. At this point there's no way I'm actually gonna be able to furnish the houses at all :/
Yeah, I hate that the plot limit is not per plot but all plots combined. I've had to tear down everything three times because I kept getting a 'stack height' error when trying to place items. Palia support basically told me the devs are looking into it but it's basically an odd error that says you reached the limit. So now all my other plots are vacant lots and all my eggs are in one basket.
@ruewynnbishop I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue because it's definitely a bug! The plot limit is per plot, not shared, so you should be able to build on your other plots without issue. That being said, if the tree bug is still in game, it will count all your trees in all your plots instead of separating them per plot. So if one of your plots is full of trees, you may have to remove a few of them to be able to place items on another plot. It is this bug that cause trees to travel from one plot to another when they grow a new stage. I hope we'll get a fix soon 🤞
I don't know, I think early on when you need copper and sapwood, I can see paying with gold to repair being more useful, especially when its so cheap. But after you move on to better materials, you'll probably have more than enough to craft the repair kits.
Perhaps but on the flipside you also need gold early on too! I guess it's personal preference, I find copper and sapwood pretty easy to get my hands on.
Because it was hard for me to find trees and at first didn't realise had to wait for others to chop trees I ended just grinding on farming instead on my plot since wouldn't have to load up the map 😅 altho now it's hard to just chop small to regular trees on your own now. As for decorating I just filled my space as much as I could with flowers which sucks some don't go towards the farming or a gardening skill
A lot of there discussed topics aren't mistakes. They're advice for mid and end game. For example, tips on how to earn gold aren't helpful for newer players like me who just need to know which things are worth spending gold on in the first place.
ive reached limit and my house is packed !! also have you worked out how to place trees in your house, like multiple as i know how it can be done and done alone !
Best example of how bad I'm at palia is my friend who played for month, maybe bit less and have higher lvl that me, when i started polaying at beta begining, but i did breaks
Most of these stuff you can craft when you unlock so you don't have to spend coin it in the shop because flow wood now it x 2 but Platinum brick are still too hard get 3/5 Platinum ore rarely get 7/9 Platinum ore hopefully they x2 that too in the future
I am sorryif this is a stupid question but I am very new at the game but what is a grove tree? what does stealing hotspot tables mean? And how do I flair rare items? There is only one of it how will that help others? Should I sometimes leave it for others to pick up? Could someone explain the player etiqet part. I tend to keep to myself in game but I want the other players to have just as much fun as I am having, I don't want to ruin the game for anyone
A flow tree grove spawns once an in game day in bahari and it is a collection of flow trees. They drop flow wood which is rare. Hotpot is a game in the underground and it is for 4 players, once a game is over people generally start another round but people may join and take the other players spot. To flare rare items you’ll need the flare arrow recipe from hassian. Then you just equip them like a normal arrow. You don’t have to leave it for others; if you call out the item then pick it; others will have time to come and pick the item up too. I don’t think you will be spoiling it for others at all 😊
Gold for repair is cheaper than repair kits. 6:33 you have the option of 177 gold or 74 repair kits. The materials for 74 repair kits is equal to 203 gold.
Yes, some ppl have vastly different income backgrounds (irl) becauseof parents, grandma, and it blows my mind the stuff that is purchased, instead of acquired.
Yes, on ALL your housing plots. So if you decide you want a wooded glade on plot 2, it will count towards your overall plot limit total, and probably mess up your main project house plot...until they fix it.

First thing that came to my mind while reading the title of the video was: Dont put fireplace on grand harvest house if you have hanging garden. :D But great tips for new players. I am guilty of ignoring my garden and npcs in the begging of the game.
I don't spend 10k for lucky coins but I will but flour for 10 coins then sell it for half the price. So I get a lucky coin for 5 coins instead of 10k. So it makes me happy.
I must know about that pool! 🥰 The only aspect of the group work that has been difficult is the palium mining. I wish it was available continually for all players like with foraging. Sometimes Ive called it out but then the palium times out while waiting for others to show up. If I just mine the palium I find, will that label me a bad player?
Nooo! Not a bad player at all! With the way the palium and mining works now I think provided you’ve called it out and/or flared the node then you’re good to mine it all. Players have 3 minutes to get to the node before it despawns after it’s been mined so that should be plenty of time!
@@Fleurs_ 450 gold for a non-starred goldfish from your own pond on your block. Rare-ish. But not as rare as others. Run to box, sell, rinse, repeat. Mottled Gobi and Scarlet Koi, 100 gold each.
That's a smart way to deal with the item limit! You're right about the community, sadly there are bad eggs in all.
I get the crazy tail now... great video!
Hahaha finally!! 🤣
Crazy tail?
the plot limit problem is sooo real. I'm building a town square on one of my plots and like a 1000 of those decor slots are already taken up by terracotta pavers. At this point there's no way I'm actually gonna be able to furnish the houses at all :/
hopefully we will see more of an increase at some point!
Thanks for the warnings.
I hit the flower limit within my first 2 weeks of playing... It's a good thing I have planters and trees to fill in the gaps...
I always forget about weekly achievements
I started 5 days ago and already have one upgraded tool, my house with extra room and been to the first vault
that's good progress!
What's the etiquette for groves? Do you make an actual party and need to share where everyone uses one? Or can you just show up?
I'm going to save this video, go play it, come back and cry about the mistakes i made.
Best example of how bad I'm at palia is my friend who played for month, maybe bit less and have higher lvl that me, when i started polaying at beta begining, but i did breaks
Is it my switch but all my fish tank are blacked out , and even when I go house tour...Is this just a glitch for now ..Thanxyou
It's like this for everyone atm!
@@Fleurs_ thanxyou...enjoy your videos
Perhaps but for me but I always have the resources laying around in my storage so makes sense for me to craft.
wait who buys something when they can make it themselves??? a lot of u live palia life probably how u do in RL , that’s interesting to me lmfao
Ik you won't understand my reference but Evan & Katelyn buy vs diy
Yes, some ppl have vastly different income backgrounds (irl) becauseof parents, grandma, and it blows my mind the stuff that is purchased, instead of acquired.
Do planted trees count towards the 3k item limit?
Yes!
Yes, on ALL your housing plots. So if you decide you want a wooded glade on plot 2, it will count towards your overall plot limit total, and probably mess up your main project house plot...until they fix it.
But u don't need to buy zeke coins coz u get them everyday as long as u buy something from the shop
I wish this was true 😅😅
@@Fleurs_ someone told me 😭 it was, so I’m just testing it rn but idk
@@Fleurs_ i just checked, it is true! It even says in the wikipedea:
“One Lucky Coin is given to the player as a daily promotion for buying at least one item from Zeki’s General Store. After purchasing the item(s) from the general store, the player will receive a mail from Zeki containing the coin at the next mail cycle. This action resets every 24 hours at daily reset. Daily reset in Palia is at 4:00 AM UTC.”
@@Fleurs_ idk if my previous comment came through but it is true! It says so even on the wikipedia page :)

@@Fleurs_ it is true, i usually buy one seed a day, then he mails you with a coin for your continued patronage
How do we get more plots? Only been playing for a week and still a bit confused by a few things 😅
You either purchase them from Badruu or Badruu's store (there is a till located at his farm). I cannot remember exactly which way, it's been a while.
I can only see soil plots from him or his store argh lol you do mean extra housing plots don’t you? Haha
@@sarahjb91 SORRY! I had just woken up and assumed you meant the farming plots. Ignore me! The plots you get from your H mode when present on your plot and there is a drop down at the top.
My biggest mistake has been selling things that I need later! new players please get yourself trackers and make sure not to sell stuff you might need later... like an emerald or a giant goldfish...
First thing that came to my mind while reading the title of the video was: Dont put fireplace on grand harvest house if you have hanging garden. :D
But great tips for new players. I am guilty of ignoring my garden and npcs in the begging of the game.
Dani 😭😭😭😭 I already got bullied in discord for this!!
Hey, where did you get your hair?? I didn't know we can have long hair :0
Thanks Alot 👍⚘️
@@Fleurs_ ohh! So I can mine it, set off a flare, and then when another player comes the ore is there for them to mine as well?
@@Bri-La-Laa key thing to flare/share in chat would be the large palium nodes. Medium at your leisure, small I wouldn't even bother. Just my advice.
@@kazmolo I agree with this too!
@@Bri-La-Laa yes!
Not sure why but I get kind of a rush from gifting peoples requests.
it's a nice thing to do!
I never made money via cake parties. It's been fishing first, middle and still. But the preserves are good passive income too.
Interesting about fishing!
@@Fleurs_ 450 gold for a non-starred goldfish from your own pond on your block. Rare-ish. But not as rare as others. Run to box, sell, rinse, repeat. Mottled Gobi and Scarlet Koi, 100 gold each. Catch 10 = $1,000. (Caught on glow worms). Fish downstairs at Zeki's and do even better, because there are hotspots there.
@@Fleurs_ P.S. the very rare Void Ray is 1,105 gold, more if starred. Even fishing with no bait, still better gold than hunting has ever been.
6:20 uhm, it’s more like TWO trees 🙃
Can i play this game in xbox?
Not at the moment; PC and switch only for now.
@@Fleurs_ thank you💜
Yes I play on Switch and palia look like a nintendo DS graphic singularity 6 could been like gameloft made the graphic better on nintendo switch they just lazy or they doing other stuff like updates every month. I hope come to Playstation 5 in the future because current switch too weak for main line game
This is so helpfull
dont potatoee make more money as seeds?
Repare kits are super expensive to craft tho I am always out of copper
You can craft them with iron too. I seem to have more than that.
@@Fleurs_ I have even less of that because I use it for bows and furniture
I have so many bugs and glitchrs that I have to restart the whole time. Am I the only one?
If you are playing on switch there is a common bug where people can't pick items up sometimes. They are working on it.
GS tomatoes are the only thng you want to pickle an sell..... anythin else is a waste of time
I never like doing the garden.
My palia isso different from yours omg i dont know why i have such a hard time getting money and just doing this 😂
cough cough betty👀👀👀
The game got boring for me when i hit the gold cap; so while maximizing profit is good, you can be a little lax with it--unless you need to buy a lot of furniture and stuff for building.
House tour plz???❤
My witchy house tour is live already!
