And until Esports"athletes" show us that, we will never acknowledge it as a sport. And also, sports are supposed to benefit ur health if u think about what most doctors say about sports
This actually makes me cry i am playing in the 2. German Division and watching this is making me very emotional i love you all this will be great one day.
I was feeling quite off when i played league today, feeling that i must do things that r productive instead of playing league and watching this video reminded me that i am a part of the league community that us player r proud of. Gave me a reason to why i played this game in the first place
The word athlete is an ancient Greek word that means "one who competes for a prize" and was related to two other Greek words, "athlos" meaning "contest" and "athlon" meaning "prize." So these pro players are actually athletes.Any other definition of "athlete" is fabricated and wrong.
I was having a bad morning until i watched this and made me realize how much joy league has brought to my life since i started playing back in 2012. I've met so many people through league of legends in and out of game, after high school when all my friends drifted apart, the one's whom i am still close with have remained so because of the time we share playing league. Yea I may rage, get tilted (and a little toxic) but what keeps me playing after all these years and all the changes to the game is my love for it. I remember watching the 2016 spring finals with my gf at the time and all my dad could do was bash it, he couldn't see what I could and can, i don't see non athletes or athletes playing a video game, I see 10 people doing something they love to do, something that people all over the world have come to love, including me. So even though league of legends is a toxic unbalanced piece of shit, its my toxic and unbalanced piece of shit. Thank you Riot for making our game.
I’m here to support all leaguers and the game as a whole, we grew from start to finish guy! Be proud of how far we’ve all came man. This video gives me the greatest feels cause we are now part of the sports world and we’ll finally get the recognition!
People hate change because there view of the world is changing and those old fucks are scared of change. There living in a world in there closed minds. We gamers are just 1 kind of people no differences just 1 mind 1 goal. If your white black yellow red or whatever color you have it don`t matter. You are a gamer.
It's good for it to be acknowledged as a sport so people can have a legally accepted profession, scholarships etc. And so it's easier for teams to get sponsors if it's formally a sport, to make leagues and championships, and to open the market to gamers in general.
Whenever im out of the loop and bored but not in the right mood for gaming, I come and watch thus video. There hasnt been a single time ive watched this and not gotten goosebumps. Esports is such a huge community but esspecially huge with league. Its competative. Most pros are physically fit. You sweat. Youve got a huge community of people talking argueing maming friends and having a whole lot of a good time with one another. This is a sport. Its our sport
Has nothing to do with the "older generation". Has everything to do with nerds who never made a sports team in high school refusing to accept they they are not and never will be athletes
10 years I’m going to look back and say “man, I can’t stop loving esports” I played in season 6 and before esports I played league just to play but finding this. It really changed me. I have more friends than ever before and now I got a girl/future wife who loves what I love as well. League is our life
Every time i feel down and lost, i watch this video. It renews my faith in the dream of going professional, and not to give up. It all starts from queue-ing at home.
I want to become a pro player and get a team and play in tournaments and stuff like that, of course getting into LCS is my big dream and then of course winning worlds xD Step by step of course I believe it takes alot of effort, I just like how less people will look down upon us for playing our sport. It's a sport just intense as basketball but that's always hard to explain.
For me the most legend moments was that when Albus Nox Luna getting out if groups in 2016 as a underdog and when Ambition and Samsung Galaxy hoist the Summoners Cup 2017
Every community is hyper toxic. League is simply played by so many people that you have a much higher chance of meeting those toxic people there than if you just played basketball with some random kids from the neighbourhood.
It is the Best Video. Yes. And let anyone who opose us know, that we are never alone. There's MILIONS of people with the same passion. With the same drive.
The fact that league as our favorite game has taken this step to give the gaming community as a whole, the recognition they deserve at long last.. I'd say thats definitely a tear jerkingly proud moment, especially if youve struggled to establish your identity as a gamer.
You’re right. It’s not just a sport. These players speak to the human experience with passion, with heart, and with excellence. They practice years on end just to have a chance in the spotlight. They play like a unit, and through both good and bad times, they experience that excitement and pain together. They show just how human esports really is. We have to thank our pro players for those memories and experiences that have really brought out the best of human character.
I miss rick fox being part of League of Legends, he was such an important aspect to our community. It's too bad someone from his organization had to ruin it for him. RIP
Why the fuck does it matter what you call it?! It's a game and, whether you want it or not, it's actually super popular, competitive and insanely hard to master.
After watching this video 1- yes league of legends is a sport idc about all the haters 2- open up the game 3-play a ranked game 4- end up feeding and losing so hard 5- fk it, this shi*t can't be a sport

I was feeling quite off when i played league today, feeling that i must do things that r productive instead of playing league and watching this video reminded me that i am a part of the league community that us player r proud of. Gave me a reason to why i played this game in the first place
“If it dont break a sweat, I dont consider that’s sport”
Ok so chess should not be shown on espn and sport channels too right?
i guess poker shouldnt be either hahahahaha these boomers are so stupid
For real when I saw that clip as a chess player and a video gamer that was so stupid to hear.
Swimming competition as well!
The word athlete is an ancient Greek word that means "one who competes for a prize" and was related to two other Greek words, "athlos" meaning "contest" and "athlon" meaning "prize." So these pro players are actually athletes.Any other definition of "athlete" is fabricated and wrong.
It was at this moment, my heart finally found it possible to trust and be hopeful of mankind.
Thank u keyboard warrior, please continue to fight
No one gives a fuck about Greece.

This video gives me the greatest feels cause we are now part of the sports world and we’ll finally get the recognition!
i never expect league video would got me emotional
This is so fucking amazing ! I got goose bumps !
Alright, what's wrong with that ? You don't have to write shit like that, you can just think it.
TheBearSlay sad
Hiiro i was joking xD
Yaass mate, same here!!
Got goose bumps aswell, epic shit.
Videos like this makes me feel like league is such a positive game...
Till I actually go play a match and see the toxicity
perhaps try some other online multiplayer games
People made the in-game worse, not the League itself and Riot. Also all games are encountered it too. LMAO
I watch this video when i loose my motivation. FOr the thing i really want to become. One of the greatest Videos ive ever seen.
Well I think I'll never get tired of watching this
Who gives a fuck if it is a sport and if the players are called athletes? The game is competetive, and people enjoy watching it, that is what matters.
deckowner jason yeah
prof players cares... they having problem to going outside of their borders and having education when what they doing is not under label of sports :/
deckowner jason well said my bud.
I dont care what they say. this game changed me completely to a better person. do what you love , stay strong , dont give up.
Memes - Dead by daylight better person ? Pfffffffff nice joke.
P.S. Have no hate towards lol love playing it
Ninja Sniper same
If you spend 5+ hours playing games you fcked your life...
wajietaus why?
True mate
Whenever im out of the loop and bored but not in the right mood for gaming, I come and watch thus video. There hasnt been a single time ive watched this and not gotten goosebumps. Esports is such a huge community but esspecially huge with league. Its competative. Most pros are physically fit. You sweat. Youve got a huge community of people talking argueing maming friends and having a whole lot of a good time with one another. This is a sport. Its our sport
I love you League of Legends. Thank you for saving my life. Happy ten years.
Older generation just dont understand it yet since its something new. Thats it.
Attillee true
naïve bitch
and eventually we'll be them in the future....well some of us
Professional VR Sporting Events is the future
Has nothing to do with the "older generation". Has everything to do with nerds who never made a sports team in high school refusing to accept they they are not and never will be athletes
show this to them and they might even say _this is just a video_
Because they can't feel what we are feeling after watching this ofc : '(
u know I play this game since 2012 and I really proud playing this "Sport"
to the end
I always come back to watch this video and i always got goosebumps it is incredible to see how our coumminty has grown and i love that
i love those goose bumps videos!
As the woman say "all about community"
Thats what we love! Supporting our teams and finding sb to talk with.

"Its not a sport if you dont sweat"
have you played League?!
10 years I’m going to look back and say “man, I can’t stop loving esports” I played in season 6 and before esports I played league just to play but finding this. It really changed me. I have more friends than ever before and now I got a girl/future wife who loves what I love as well. League is our life
Not just salt.
Our salt
You may not like Rick Fox, but the awareness to esports he has created is instrumental.
it all started from his loving support to his son
I don't know much about him. why wouldn't I like him?
@@Jeff55369 well, a former nba star.
i like him, i feel bad his investors were racist
This gave me chills.
The right words at the right time "It's all about communities being part of something you're so incredibly passionate about."
Every time i feel down and lost, i watch this video. It renews my faith in the dream of going professional, and not to give up. It all starts from queue-ing at home.
Just got the feels. That even if I won't become a pro like others, people will respect gamers as someone that has as much talent as a basketball player.
0:41 toxic kid : iTs ViDEo gAMeS

Definitely Errel that doesen‘t make it into a regular sport.
For me the most legend moments was that when Albus Nox Luna getting out if groups in 2016 as a underdog and when Ambition and Samsung Galaxy hoist the Summoners Cup 2017
Passion isn't something easy to have.. but is something easy to lose. Leauge of Legends Esports is filled with passion, and its growing everyday.

You seem to Forget how hyper toxic the Game community is
Urgot thats just ranked.
Its not just a game its video game
Every community is hyper toxic.
League is simply played by so many people that you have a much higher chance of meeting those toxic people there than if you just played basketball with some random kids from the neighbourhood.
Been playing since Season 3 and I'm just now seeing this. 2024 and still going strong.

The fact that league as our favorite game has taken this step to give the gaming community as a whole, the recognition they deserve at long last.. I'd say thats definitely a tear jerkingly proud moment, especially if youve struggled to establish your identity as a gamer.
pussy
This gave me the chills, in a good way.
Pedro Mesquita so true
Law related issues.
true, my only complaint are people trying to turn this game into an Olympic sport
Chocolate Dragon we don't need that, we got our all stars:^)
vaderglenn *uses Talon for his profile picture*
people : do you do any sports?

eSports is the best example of mental fortitude. For the first time in history you don't have to be physically strong to be an athlete.
When i first watched that it made me cry.
And i think in the next years every pepole over the world will knew about Esport
No one can stop us we as long as we love doing our thing
