Chris I'd like to ask if i can use this escooter on roads like Indonesia and Philippines, um you know like most roads are wet example i say if after raining is still okay to use this?
Fine in rain but be careful with heavy braking on the front wheel and slippery surfaces or roads. I had a slip with a Xiaomi scooter in the wet that was nasty having the front wheel slip out from under me due to braking.
I own this one since 2 weeks. I can’t compare it with other scooters because it’s my first scooter. After seeing a lot of accidents with non suspension scooters, I definitely wanted one with full suspension. On the Ninebot website I came across the G2 and I ordered it immediately. After two weeks I can say that it drives very comfortable and the suspension gives me the needed feeling of safety. Especially for a rookie like me. My weight is 96kg and I get 40km of battery in S mode and 60km in D mode. I don’t use the E mode because then the scooter is limited to only 15km/h. Too slow for me. In S mode the acceleration is very very powerful but luckily I can tweak this acceleration in the Ninebot app. I also like the longer steering bar because it adds more stability. I love the integration of the Apple “find my” function for the iPhone. It works very well. The anti theft feature is more like a gimmick because it only works as long as you are in the range of the bluetooth connection with your phone. When you are doing groceries in a supermarket, it looses the bluetooth connection very quick. Things to improve in my opinion are : louder horn (I bought a 120Db horn on Amazon which I attached on the steering bar to replace it), the braking light doesn’t blink like I have seen on other scooters and I think they add to more safety, the integrated blinkers in the steering bar cannot be seen by rear traffic so I prefer to have extra blinkers next to the taillight. Overall I love this scooter and I hope to drive a lot of safe km with it. I’m from Belgium and in case someone wants to know how much I paid for it, I bought it for only 839€ in a local shop in Antwerp.
@@Techtablets UPDATE, just an hour ago I got a new firmware update. With the update there is an option within the app that lets the rear braking light flash. I’m very happy with that improvement.
Just to let you know about the FindMy feature, you are wrong on it working only with a bluetooth connection. The way FindMy works for compatible devices is that it uses ANY iPhone that is near the device to track it’s location and send it back to you. This means it works almost worldwide because of the millions of people using iPhones. This is why the FindMy is such a great feature. I will be getting this scooter in about a week, super excited. Have fun!
I used to have Max, but sold it because it was such a rough ride. But now I ordered myself a G2. Shock absorbers are a must. Can't really wait to get this one! I did 1500km with my Max. Very nice review and lovely enviroment you have there :)

But I'm thinking about returning and buying a better one with shock absorbers. This one looks real nice, but expensive. Would love to see you do more escooter reviews, of course if the opportunity presents itself :)
Ninebot generally make well designed user friendly scooters, seems like another nice model its just the top speed and power is still lacking for me, i think once you get something that goes 25mph+ and 500watts on an escooter you don't really want to go back to anything slower or less powerful.
@@Techtablets yes but if it can be manipulated it will not be legal. why do people want to drive fast? to kill themselves or other? Best bang for the buck for a cruiser.... there are other scooters like the newly released VMAX VX2 Pro that have 28percent climb capability and steady, real speeds. . unlike the ninebot display... that's always exaggerating 2 1/2 above the actual driven speed 😅. Solid and sunny review ❤
I did wonder about the speeds, I think you're correct it feels more like 23km max than 25km. Still a solid smooth ride and it's great for A-B town trips I find. Better than my Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra.
I just bought it today and I live in Australia! It came with inbuilt cruise control! I had the pure electric scooter which was a joy to ride with the front facing set up but the range was abysmal! I am hoping to see the range in this scooter as I weight only 60kgs!
The scooter can get more km than what you got but it depends in few things, tires need to be 45 to 50 psi at least, constant 20kmh driving in cruise control and obviously flat terrain with no hills, im around 80kg and with my g30p can get 60km with one charge even now that my scooter has done 4000+km total
Yes very true it can do more. This was just based of my experience running 40 PSI, a few climbs and normally 25km/h all the time as most people do this.

Can you say if the difference in hill climbing performance between this one and the Xiaomi 4 Ultra is to take in to consideration when choosing which one to invest in (i'm 90kg) ? Are there hills that the Xiaomi can do and the Ninebot can't ? Thank you very much sir.

Nowadays the only big negative u could find would be rear fender rattling (although that is also being fixed from what i've heard, as in people buying them recently 2024 July - September time span, its not a thing for some, while some others if they buy from aliexpress have it. It's also easy to fix, just get that size screw and thats it.)
Nice job on the review. I bought one of these in Australia and ours doesn't have the indicators, horn, and large tail light. Any idea if there is a seat coming for this scooter? They are calling it the G65 in Australia too. We do have cruise control here.
Hi, there are quite a few differences per region. But there is no seat for this, at least not an official one. No cruise control due to EU regulations.
Thanks for the review. Do you think this is the one you would recommend from Segway for an e-scooter that is relatively budget, powerful and a descent range (mileage)? Or would this be another one that you would recommend for the above criteria?

@@Techtablets How can you say this if we know that Segway Ninebot belongs to Xiaomi? Ninebot is a very good model but I think the Xiaomi 4 ultra model is more comfortable! The two models are very similar in terms of features, What Ninebot Max g2 has, is the RideyLong technology that I really like and Anti-slip Traction Control System (TCS), and integrated turn signals but I would like to see it up close since I think That it will take longer until August, September before it reaches stores or shopping centers, I don't know. But I am more confident in the Xiaomi 4 ultra model, it has good characteristics and softer cushioning, which is what is most appreciated!! it has almost the same power and good battery although Ninebot has a little more battery! I think the two models are very good since they belong to the same family, it's a matter of taste but I also want to see the Ninebot Max g2 up close to be able to choose between the two models. It's a bit difficult to choose but personally I prefer softer suspension and surely Ninebot Max g2 may have soft suspension, I don't know because I hope I can try and see how it is! @@Techtablets spoke to Segway Customer Support in Barcelona, they don’t have tires for sale on the website, therefore when you live in Spain 🇪🇸 you need to send the scooter to Barcelona and the repair department can change tires (if the tires are available)
im quite disappointed with the price tag. for $1699 (Not sure USD,CAD,AUS) you could already buy a dual motor scooter with higher speeds, highly serviceable. Good side is that ninebot max are really well built
Hi, no it seems because my eu model doesn't have the cruise control. Not allowed here in Spain and this came from Ninebot Segway. So they disabled it. Other countries do have it.
The "claimed" range declared by manufacturers is based upon experiment of "no-load" situation, in other words, the e-scooter had no rider on it. The manufacturers usually put the e-scooter on a stool with two wheels in the air, then start the motors to keep the wheel spinning till the end of battery power to read the mileage on the meter as claimed range. So, the actual range with rider is usually only 50% to 60% as claimed.
Very dubious of this claim. Many people are riding it in heavy rain no issue, the problem starts if you leave the scooter in the rain itself for hours and it gets soaked, my coworker has Max G2 (one of the reasons why i decided to buy one too after riding with it for few hours throughout multiple days during lunch break). Otherwise its not a problem and heard only positive reviews about the rain/snow/salty roads/cold temp rides. Also, are you sure you were maintaining it properly? Should pump your tires every weekend to +50psi, unless you're overweight past 120kg (would suggest checking it every 3 days or sth).
Hi. Completely irrelevant to this vid, I know, but I'm after an android tablet and I'm torn between a bunch of the Chinese midrange options. Xiaoxin pad pro 2022 mediatek version (£250) Xiaoxin pad pro 2022 snapdragon edition (£330) Mi pad 5 Pad 5 pro Pad 6 Pad 6 pro Are all options, but not sure which to pick. I've heard the pad 6 speakers aren't as good as the pad 5, and I think I'd be put off by LCD screen leakage along edges so I'm thinking of just going for the Lenovo. However even then I'm not sure if it's worth paying the extra £80 for a snapdragon 870 and faster charging
@@Techtablets thanks a lot man! Just out of curiosity what makes you say the snapdragon version? Surely the mediatek one is powerful enough, it's not like it's a budget chipset. From the array of benchmarks I've seen it seems to be on par with the SD 855, which is pretty solid even though that's like 3 years old. Is there something in particular that stands out to make the Snapdragon 870 a much better proposition (for someone who isn't gonna be doing hardcore gaming)? Or do you think the 870 generally is just good enough to warrant paying the extra cash?
Such a shame no folding handlebars, I would get this no question if it did. Scooters are naturally slim but if you give wide handlebars then that’s the width you need for storage, annoying. Great scooter though, much needed improvements have been made 👍🏻
I’ve never seen folding handlebars on any e scooter and I think it’s for liability and safety reasons. If you get into an accident or crash into something, the last thing you want is the handlebars to come apart and hurt you even worse. My g30 already came with the handlebars installed onto the stem and all I had to do was screw in the whole top piece on the tube.
@@ABCRapster you haven’t seen one? In person you mean? Loads of models have them, all the etwow/Uscooters models, emove cruiser, pure advance to name a few 👍🏻
@@e-scooterguy I got one, brother the g30 max. I said most that I’ve seen not all. I get the safety concern and need for storage but I’m ok with the fixed handlebars for more stability. Have a nice day!

Totally agree E-Scooter guy. Folding handlebars should come as standard on ALL e-scooters and are a MUST!. Wouldn't cost a penny more to have them. Guess it's sort of a safety issue. I went ahead and ordered this Max G2 because for $799.00 it should be an incredible scooter for the money. If I don't like it, I can easily sell it for 800 and get the new E-move cruiser for 600 more which looks incredible and has amazing specs, power, range, and comfort.
I have the G1 and it is great to see they fixed most of the problems BUT the accelerator looks the same and this KEEPS BUGGING alsobthe price is just too high so i cannot see this being as popular as it could be.
Get yourself a small miniature electric e-bike you can fold or pick up like Jetson. You get exercise, wheels are big enough so you don't die hitting a small pot hole etc etc list goes on. For cheaper than this.
I also do prefer ebikes over escooters and the bike one is when you run out of battery life you can still pedal but with an escooter you'll stuck pushing it home!
@@Techtablets Not so nice as you imagine! I have both e-scooter and e-bicycle. The e-bicycle is not so easy to pedal as you suppose when out of juice. The e-bicycle is so hard to pedal beyond my imagination when really out of power.
As always the US gets the good top speed 25km is a bit too slow. 30 km is I think the best. But I think the price is okay for the quality, suspension and power it has.

Scooters that go 18.6 mi an hour really does not need suspension. And this new ninebot scooter is a total disappointment. Why in the world would you stick with a 36-volt battery. Segway was a premium brand acquired by Xiaomi.
So, it's like Toyota created a premium brand "Lexus" to compete in luxury car segment. Both Toyota and Lexus might share the common components, but the details of QC "filtering" would be subtly different.
So, between this and Niuq 3 pro, what you choose or recomend ?
Both very good and very similar. I think overall KQi3 Pro.

Flat tires are a nightmare. Is ninebot max 2 better to stop it
They are the worst and so annoying to fix.

I have G2 but rain broke it. They are using cheap parts.
It’s China. Expecting anything but shit from them is silly.
Xiaoxin pad pro 2022 mediatek version (£250)
Xiaoxin pad pro 2022 snapdragon edition (£330)
Mi pad 5
Pad 5 pro
Pad 6
Pad 6 pro
Are all options, but not sure which to pick.
If you game a lot get the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro otherwise the Lenovo snapdragon version.
I found the SD model better optimised.

Have a nice day!
I agree with others foldable handle bars could be a safety concern. I've seen them on other older models and after a while they all felt a bit loose. Didn't give me much confidence in them.
@@Techtablets
Not so nice as you imagine!
I have both e-scooter and e-bicycle. The e-bicycle is not so easy to pedal as you suppose when out of juice. The e-bicycle is so hard to pedal beyond my imagination when really out of power.
